FASHION

Today on the agenda I have fashion and pity

Quite the combination.....Not sure what to start with first but since there is nothing worse than a healthy, blessed designer feeling neglected.... I guess I will start there.

Go ahead haters I can take it.

One Room Challenge starts on Wednesday.  Exciting huh?  Only one small "problema".....I did not get asked to the prom this season.  Cue sad pouty face.  I know what you're thinking....get a grip Sherika.  You have  participated every time but one.  I mean seriously life. will. go. on.
There is no need for theatrics.

I was all "walking around" wondering why I wasn't stressed out like I usually am in the spring and fall when I started seeing a few rumblings about the ORC!   Then it hit me and  I was checking my junk email to see if maybe my invitation ended up there.....nope.

Bitter.... party for one.

OK....I will shut up now.  There is the slightest  chance I might do a small makeover in my other guest bedroom and participate in the link ups on Thursday.....very slight:)  But I am a team player so I will be blabbing about all of the good design happening.....I just hate being left out:( sniff

This is only my second fashion post....  But since spring is already here in Atlanta I have been charging ahead planning my summer wardrobe.

Starting with one of my favorite stores for classics Banana Republic.  I always wait for the 40% sale  and this time I got 50% of the most expensive plus the 40%!  Score.  The white seersucker jacket with 3/4 sleeves will look great with the jeans!

I don't know about you but I love the casual look of these shoes from Keds

I ordered the last ones on the right from Zappos and they are so comfy!  I am thinking of ordering the camel leather ones also.

Here are some good staples from Gap.  The ankle length jeans were a great price point and of course I love the stripe bag for all of my paint decks etc....

I headed over to J Crew cause they were having a sale also.

I bought the white shirt last year and I am lusting after that cute stripe clutch!

Madewell was having one of their rare sales....20% off!  Picked up this bag and I actually bought the shoes last year...so comfy!  These were the sandles I was wearing my first day in Guatemala on those cobblestone roads.....silly me.

Last on the list are these cute shoes that a friend on mine bought and showed me.  She said they are incredibly comfortable.

Wouldn't they look cute with jeans and that white jacket from BR?

I always stick to the basics so it doesn't look like I got dressed in the dark....wink wink.

My talented friend Kristy Harvey has gone a written another book!

Order Lies and Other Acts of Love and send a picture of the receipt to kristy@kristywoodsonharvey.com between now and April 10 to be entered to win a $1,000 Shop Design Chic gift card.

Go to Design Chic to read more about it and   congrats Kristy!

Sherry,
I'll be crossing my fingers that you'll consider joining in the orc on Thursday for linking participants. It's not a ORC without you!!
Of course, I'm joining in your pity party because your are the prom queen of the ORC. Disappointed for you that you didn't get an invite. Boo! Hiss
I'd love to say I'm finally going to participate in the ORC but I can't get my act together on our master bedroom. Lord knows, it needs help!

SAY WHAT? FOR REALZ?
I can't believe it. I mean, in my opinion you were one of the winners from last year's ORC. I'm with Betsy, You ARE the Prom Queen of ORC. Ugh, Sigh. Pity Party attendee, that's me.

"They" say, things alway happened for a reason, the way they are suppose to. You may have bigger, better unknown things in your horizon that you don't yet know about.

LOVE your fashion pics. You have great style in every aspect of your life!!!! You really are Sha-CLASSY!! ANYHOO! Thanks for making my life better with you wonderful blog.. it's one of the few I can actually follow.

since i have no idea what getting invited to a thing like ORC is, i'm not qualified to comment but leaving you off the guest list of ANY party seems to me regrettable since you bring such verve and life to everything you do. i know you weren't fishing for compliments, but i do think your voice and talents are a breath of fragrant air to the milieu of design, sherry! i want those shoes you report are comfy! i have actually been searching for a colorfully embroidered belt in that same vein. and madewell! i am a sucker for every shift dress they offer. peace to you, beautiful.

Sherry no matter what I will be following along with you, you are a design diva and my inspiration on so many levels!! ORC or not I am with you always!! Love your clothing choices. I too, have been doing a little shopping for Spring! There are way too many things I want right now and I need to be saving my money for plants with the big yard project in a couple of weeks!! Keep doing what you do so well, just be YOU!!

Say it ain't so! Well, I'm completely bummed you're not in this round, since I always enjoy seeing your projects. I'll just hold out hope that you'll join in on Thursday. The beer is better in the the cheap seats. ;)

You have long been by far my favorite ORC designer so I'm seriously disappointed. It's a small consolation to know that you'll still consider offering some commentary so I'll look forward to that.

What an ORC shame! You have quite a following - and they're numbers will reflect your absence. 'Whatevs '. Enjoy your Spring.

I thought you were on vacation? Now I need a vacation. Love ya....and I hope everyone enjoys my attempt at herding cats and putting on the best show possible. Do you think they know we are friends?

I'm sure ORC was an administrative oversight and that someone will see this and realize their supreme error! Expect a call soon!
