THIS AND THAT

I don't have much for you today.....I guess every post can't be a light bulb moment right?  But.....I did spend Wednesday getting the project I worked on all last year photographed by Rustic White Photography .

The architect [Linda MacArthur] and kitchen designer [Jane Hollman] of Studio Entourage  and I got together to split the cost of this so it was a win win for everyone!  Can't wait to see the final shots.....

I thought I would share some images I took as we were leaving so you could see the before and after of the outside!

It's amazing what a pretty coat of white paint will do:)

This was a full renovation built by my friend Michael Ladisic of Ladisic Fine Homes

One more shot.....of my favorite powder room!

I saw this new trim the other day  Fabricut by Dana Gibson and flipped out....I love this color way!

And...... after blowing through The Crown on Netflix

I started watching this one.....on Amazon.....

I'm 3 episodes in and it's intriguing....read the review here

Last thing.....I was asked to speak at a college design class the other day.

Huh?

Yes I was scared since I consider myself "home schooled" in the whole business.  But....sometimes you have to step outside of your comfort zone right?

Scratching my head thinking of what to talk about for 2 hours ......I know right...eek....I decided to just put together a ton of before and after images and talk about why I made certain decisions and those 2 hours flew by!

One of the pictures I ran across was this chair makeover for my second One Room Challenge.

The shot below was me trying to explain to my upholsterer what my goal was.

Same chair!

I forgot what a good one it was right!

Have a killer weekend.....I know it is "crazy blogger Christmas decorating" season.  Always that time of year when I feel so inadequate :)

SHOPPING AT AMERICAS MART IN ATLANTA

I know y'all are holding your breath for updates on my foot right?  Well....since I have been wearing my Fitflops there seems to be about a 5% improvement!  Of course I am not sure if it is everything thing else I am doing in conjunction with....ha ha.

I am nothing if not diligent.

2 weeks ago I spent some time at Americas Mart here in Atlanta which was showing all of the new home merchandise.

Lord.....it's like heaven on one hand and then.....hell.  I want it all.

Starting with this wallpaper I saw at Gabby

It is a Thibaut pattern that I blogged about a while ago.

And these floors at Gabby.....

I mean.....say no more right?

I fell hard for this new chandelier.

I headed over to Codarus and saw this new art collection from Dana Gibson for Soicher Marin

 Hubba Hubba.... black and white.

I was looking for some rugs...and headed to Surya

Then to Dash and Albert....

I got this little indoor/outdoor number for my kitchen.

But I liked this one also.....

And this blue plaid one for my client's kitchen

This was my second choice.

Maybe I got this one for me.....just saying.

I love their performance rugs.....great for kids and pets.  I used this one several years ago in a kitchen keeping area.

Then I saw these new hand painted fabrics from Design Legacy....Kelly ONeal.

Dayum.....they are good.

Last week I started moving my client into her home after a year long renovation!  This is the exciting part right?

The curtains were installed and I started accessorizing THREE rooms of bookcases....note to self...."what was I thinking when I said let's do bookcases"!

These were my first go around and I have a lot of work to do:)

Stay tuned for more updates on this project.

You guys have a great week.....

FAVORITE WALLPAPERS

Now that I have finished with the last 6 episodes of The Killing [on Netflix] my life has no meaning.  I mean yeah OK I have my dog and husband and family but there is this slight depression lingering.......

I am sure all it will take is a glimpse of a pretty pillow and I will bounce back to my old self:)

I can be so shallow at times.....

Alrighty then....what's up today.  How about  I share a few wallpaper samples I ran across while going through my stash.

These were some of my favorites.

I always love a print that you can still showcase art on....

A huge favorite....Schumacher-Manor Gate

Thibaut-Bamboo Lattice Metallic Grey

It comes in many color ways....

I think I have posted about this one before but I adore it...Schumacher-Birds and Butterflies

A classic favorite....Schumacher-Chenonceau

Love it in this color also....

This Thibaut pattern-Nairobi is a fav....below is an image of the blue....

And Dana Gibson's new line-Little Lanin is fast becoming a favorite [by Stroheim]

Love the large pattern of Schumacher's Indore Paisley.

I designed a bedroom for you with a slight masculine feel.

I have always loved gray and navy together.  The large print would be good on one wall or I might put  wainscoting 3/4 of the way up and apply the pattern above.

Wall Sconce: Rejuvenation
Bedside Table: Pottery Barn Teen
Quilt Comforter: Pottery Barn Teen
Window Treatment: Pottery Barn Teen
Rug: Pottery Barn
Sheets: Pottery Barn
Black and White Ticking Chair: Pottery Barn
2 Pieces of Photography: Pottery Barn

If you are searching for an area to wallpaper in your own home....maybe you will see something here that will work!

Happy Tuesday my friends....
