A LITTLE INSPIRATION......

Hey y'all.....sorry about Friday.  Seems like I keep skipping a day here and there.  Sometimes I get overwhelmed with work....working out and social media!

Oh and let me tell you.....when you get old it seems like there is always a doctor visit or 2 in the horizon!  Lord that could be a full time job on its own.

I went to the eye doctor after that incident in the middle of the night when my eye started watering and wouldn't stop.  People had me convinced that it was a symptom of a disease where I might go blind so I was all freaked out.

Crikey.  After a handful of test he said it was probably a piece of dust and when that happens the eye freaks out and just wants that speck of dust gone!

Yay eye.

Anyway he said I have the eyesight of a hawk so at least one body part is still kicking!

We have all been down that rabbit hole on Pinterest when we are looking for a sliver in inspo for a project.  Well I was doing just that and found a pretty amazing project.

Thought I would share.

The architect is Jeffery Dugan.
The designer is the talented Beth Webb
The photographer was Jean Allsop

Quite the team.

Is this charming or what!

So that is just the outside....

Let's peer inside.....

So pretty and understated.

I am in love with the architectural details...so well thought out.

Love the natural pecky cypress walls.....looks like they have been bleached.

But guess what....I also found this beautiful home dressed up for Christmas.  Yeah I know....but you can save them for next years inspiration :)

I might be tempted to leave this up all year:)

This door.

This staircase.....

It looks like the perfect house to me.

Thanks for your thoughts on my tooth decision.  So funny because my sister texted me and said she has an implant [how did I not know this?] and the lead up was way more than the actual procedure.  And the dentist was cute.

And.....she had sedation.

Thank goodness for mask right now because even though it is a not my front tooth you can see it when I do a big ole donkey laugh!  Hee Haw

OK....gotta run.  Get the old workout in and then start the day.

BEFORE AND AFTER

Lord....I have all these clients that like to meet first thing in the morning....which on the days I blog is a bit of an issue.  So I am going to try and whip through this because "you know who" will be pretty mad if she does not get her walk this morning:)

Last week I had the 2 installs on the renovation that I worked on for about a year.  We did the kitchen first and then on Thursday I tackled the family room.

This client has 3 boys and a dog so needless to say everything had to be performance!  And.....I did not accessorize like I normally would because of that fact.....

Let's get right to it....

Here are some before shots.....

This area had 2 large walls which left me scratching my head a little.....

But I decided on 2 credenzas for storage.

Above are pictures lights and there will be art....

The rug is also performance.....

Here is the room after all the furniture was installed....2 sofas, large coffee table, 2 ottomans and a chair and ottoman in the corner.

With a few accessories.....

This corner....although you can't see the TV is for when they are entertaining.  They also have a media room downstairs for movie watching.....

Remember I did the porch a few weeks ago and the doors separating the rooms stack back to allow for it to almost be one large space!

One of may favorite coffee tables....from Woodbridge.

Can't wait to get the art and lighting installed over the storage chest!

Sofa table from Bernhardt Furniture

This room is very neutral.....with pops of green....my kind of space:)

All of this took much planning for how they live and will use the space.  Instead of builtins I picked the 2 credenzas for storage.  The good thing about that would have been too many bookshelves that have to be filled with accessories.  Sometimes you can get a cleaner look without them!

My my....look at the time.  I have 30 min to get ready and 15 min to walk the queen....haha.

AMBER LEWIS COLLECTION FOR ANTHROPOLOGIE

Well another week in the books.....just have to get through today and it's smooth sailing into the weekend.

We had a rainy day yesterday which is always fun when I am going in and out of my car....I just gave up trying to stay dry and decided to look wet and pathetic.....a look I can carry off pretty well:)

I am sure this isn't news to anyone but Amber Lewis just dropped her collection for Anthropologie.  I thought I would share with the few people who are scratching their heads going....."who?"

Amber is based in California and I feel confident to say that she pretty much invented that casual....hip...not too decorated style.

I am pretty sure she started blogging around the same time I did....and she has a huge following with a book coming out in October.

She is also known for her use of vintage rugs in a space....which always help to ground a space.

She is also known for white walls so we are connected in that way.....cause so am I.

Here are a few pieces from her collection....

Some pretty rugs.....

Also some of her great pillows.....

Love the mirror below!

Let's see what went on this week......

This outfit was a hit on Instagram....

I knew this maidenhair fern wouldn't make it...I think this is a record....a little over a month.

One of my favorite fixtures from Currey was getting installed last night so I only got a picture of one of them as I had to go home and feed Cami:)

And even though she had already had her dinner....she likes to visit with me when I am having mine....hehe.

So....the soon to be ex is taking me back to mediation at the end of the month.  Yes.....you would think that all of this would be over by now but dang....

I think a year is long enough so let's keep our fingers crossed please.

Enjoy the weekend like you are getting paid for it:)
