PROJECT UPDATE BEFORE AND AFTER

So while I am trying to get the One Room Challenge under control I've also had a client getting ready for a party Friday night.  Lucky for me the furniture arrived on Thursday....whew.

This was a huge renovation by Ladisic Fine Homes that was started back in January with an incredible outdoor area added.....you can read about that on this post

I'll give you a few more updates today....

The dining room has a whole new look....

Before
This room had great bones...check out the ceiling trim and I did love the pretty blue walls...

But she was ready for a new look and we went with this gorgeous wallpaper which is now discontinued so don't even ask me about it!

Those precious hummingbirds:)

Then we added this gorgeous Circa Lighting chandelier which has always been one of my favorites!

And a stunning 72" round table....

Tuesday the curtains were installed and it was an other game changer!

Then on Thursday these fabulous chairs from Charles Stewart showed up!

With some great Schumacher fabric on them...a little modern to mix with the traditional!

Rug shopping next!

Before in the family room...this was already a good room but not great for watching TV.

The Charles Stewart sectional came covered in a Kravet performance fabric. ....It looks gray but is actually more blue.

Good TV watching on this thing right?

This Woodbridge coffee table that I bought at Market a few weeks ago.

The TV was located in the bookcases that were painted a green color.

So we moved it above the mantel and also changed the shape of the bookcases....

Painted them a dark gray blue....Before

Then I accessorized....the fun part for me!

And added this Charles Stewart swivel chair....

After

This beautiful chest got moved to another area....

I added these prints....and we will add a nice green plant in this corner...or something....haha.

Curtains are hung...

Some beautiful sheers just to add softness....
With some nice textural Kravet trim.

There is so much more...pillows and pretty stuff added....I love working on this project!

But it's Saturday and I am off to Sheepie Day in the Park.....a gathering of Atlanta area Old English Sheepdogs.  Cami is kind of standoffish with other dogs....a little socially inept [haha] but it's fun for me to stand in a sea of Sheepies!

Have a great weekend...and stay tuned for week 5 of the One Room Challenge on Wednesday.

ONE ROOM CHALLENGE SPRING 2019 WEEK 4

Week 4.  When the rubber hits the road.  It's too late to lose those 10 pounds before vacation so to speak:)

Let's look at some of the things I have purchased  and also some of the wonderful items that were sponsored.....

The rug.....  [ I purchased] ....I like it but will say it is very thin so I ordered a rug pad from Amazon and for realz people it is just a piece of felt....no rubber on either side.....so said rug is still slipping all over the place:)

Good Lord.

These chairs  [I purchased] are awesome....I sent out the cushions to be covered because they came in a brown color.

I starting painting the coffee table [I purchased] and used the paint below....which I love....so creamy!

My Minted art  [wonderful sponsor] arrived so I gotta start figuring out where it is going.  Also I meant to order a 30 x 40 on one of them and ordered a 18 x 24 instead so there's that.....grrrrrr.

And Lamps Plus [sponsor] sent me these items....all perfection.

2 floor lamps which to my surprise for 99.00 are so good....heavy and a nice gold/brass finish!

This garden seat.

And this mirror.

My wallpaper girl came on Saturday....uh huh and hung my Pacific Designs [another sponsor] wallpaper.  I love how it looks....a little vintage feeling.  Also here is the vintage rattan bar that I found!

Another great sponsor  NDI sent me these faux flower arrangements!

Can't wait to sprinkle these around my space so Nancy never has to worry about dead arrangements!

I snuck over on Easter Sunday to start a little styling....

I think my favorite find is definitely that vintage rattan bookshelf I purchased for 50.00.  Booyah!

Baby steps y'all....the sofa came yesterday and it was a freaking game changer....gorgeous with that Schumacher stripe on it!  Now I want a stripe sofa.

You know what's fun....being able to do anything I want....my sister gave me complete carte blanche and if the budget makes it a little harder it's worth it to have creative freedom!

Don't you agree?

Be excited for next week because the chandelier and curtains are happening today and tomorrow!

Don't forget....there are 19 other talented bloggers who are making it happen with their spaces!

Meanwhile I have a client that is having a party this Friday so I am definitely feeling stretched in many directions!

RED BRICK HOUSES WITH BLACK TRIM

Since I am deep into "One Room Challenge land" thinking about other post isn't so easy.....

I am so focused....think dog with a bone... that a quick slap is needed to bring me out of that trance:)

I can definitely think of a few volunteers:)

Anyway I thought I would discuss a trend that might be happening.  Now you guys know that I love a white house!  Meaning that when I finally decided on the white shade for my house [Benjamin Moore China White] the angels started singing.....cause it was a struggle.

But.....I am so digging this old red brick look with black trim!

Thoughts?  I mean yes this is really cool old brick and looking very vintage....but here are some other inspiration images

Our first instinct would be to paint brick and I am a serious fan of that look!

Below at first glance....just your basic red brick but the dark trim really changes things....
I mean those red brick houses used in the 50's and 60's could definitely take on a more modern look with dark trim!

To me this looks really updated!

Of course we all don't have red brick that looks this good....

What are your thoughts on this trend?

sourceHere are a few dark trim colors....that can help spur the job forward if you are deciding to do this!

I researched this on Pinterest.....and really could not find the sources so if one of these happen to be your home....please share with us your inspiration!

Happy Saturday guys!
