BEFORE AND AFTER

Another week has passed.....it seems like it's Monday and then blah blah blah it's Friday right?

Remember when you were a kid and you thought Christmas would NEVER come.....time was so slow.  Now that I am older it's just speeding along and I will be gumming my food before I know it.

I posted about this project before but just the living room....which is not quite finished.  Today I have a few updates on the family room which isn't complete yet either but heck it seems like that is where I am on all my projects!

They moved in and did a small renovation so after the dust settled it was time for the fun part.  A three year old and one on the way [plus 2 dogs] means performance EVERYTHING right!  This space will be used hard:)

Let's start with the plan.....

The room is kind of dark so we decided to stick with neutrals.....surprise huh:)

Before

After

So I used my favorite Lee Industries swivel slipcovered chairs.......

This cute end table we ordered from Anthropologie......

The end tables are from Pottery Barn.....I used glass because we kept the trunk coffee table [for storage] and it's nice to add some breathing space.

Since we wanted something light on the floors we used this indoor/outdoor carpet cut and bound.

On the plus side it is pretty soft and not scratchy at all.

Before

After

This gorgeous sofa [from Charles Stewart Furniture] is covered in Crypton performance fabric.  It's major comfy and I like that it has the pretty modern wood legs....paring nicely with the skirts on the chairs.

Before

I worked on the bookshelves....using my friendly Homegoods and Target for a few trinkets:)

I scored these lamps at Homegoods and they could not be more perfect.....just enough texture and the beige lampshade.

So there are still some changes coming.....but it's a good start!

Hope you guys have a great weekend....last night my husband and I celebrated our 24th anniversary.
We actually eloped to Ringgold Georgia:)

This is pretty much the only picture we have and it cost 10.00 to have them take it!  I know right.....

The hair.
The white t shirt and black vest.
The decor.

Judge away......

THIS AND THAT

We are back on the "this and that" train today......

I can honestly say I did not get too much done on the weekend.....as much as I tried I could not organize my thoughts to stay focused.

I did go walk the Atlanta Beltline Sunday morning and lawd it was darn hot.

After we did 6 miles we ended up running 1/2 a mile around this track.....

Maybe that is why yesterday was a wash for me.....haha.

Except we grilled dinner and I'm gonna let you in on a little secret....
First of all get this Salmon from Trader Joes......it's yummy.

But the corn.....take some Franks Hot Sauce and mix with melted butter.

Brush it over the corn and grill it.  You will know it's done when it starts popping!!  Brush more on it before eating.  Duh

And there's a first....a recipe from me.  Mark your calendars...

And I got a little present from a friend...

Cute Huh?

I have been helping Michael Ladisic with his new office.  We had the bathroom covered in this Romo Omexco black and white herringbone grasscloth wallpaper.

It's like this paper was made for me right:)

For this dead space we added shelves and I crawled all over Atlanta looking for a few trinkets to fill them.....

There was only one problem....Michael is a Ford guy NOT a Chevy guy so the picture of the Corvette was out!  Really....it's just a secondary bathroom Michael....Nope.  Take it back.

#staytruetoyourself

So we decided to take a picture of his truck and go on Framebridge.  I have never used them before so I'll let you know how it turns out.

The camera on Iphone 7 is amazing!  I can't wait to see the outcome.

Speaking of black and white.....below are some pillows from one of my favorite trade vendors Sugar Feather.

Oh baby.....I'm giddy.

But.....since we are on the subject of pillows here are some others I saw at the Atlanta Market.

I am not sure how we went from exercising....to corn on the cob to pillows but then again...it's a look at how my brain works.

PROJECT UPDATES

I'm pretty psyched that it's Friday!  It was a long HOT week here in Georgia......and after riding around all day for work.....I am arriving home exhausted.

Normally I would walk Cami around 4-5 pm and I'm having to wait until 7:30-8 because of the heat!

I also tried a new workout yesterday and whoa....I am feeling it this morning.

I think I will mix this in with my Orange Theory and spinning for some variety.

I have a few updates for you today on 2 projects.  It seems like once all the basics like furniture, rugs and lighting are in place it's the art that will help to define the space.

It usually takes some time to figure out what that should be.

For one project I turned to my friend Linda Donahue.

Here is the space!

And here is what will be going on the wall above.

I am SO EXCITED!!!!

Some of Linda's other work that can be found on Etsy.

I have been a big fan of her work for many years.

For the same project the powder room got wallpapered and it was a game changer.

You can see it has a slight metallic feel.....

In another project I found an artist who's work I have fallen in love with....Scott Herr.

Here is the dining room....all white with this gorgeous Circa Lighting chandelier.

This 4ft by 6ft beauty is going on the one solid wall....

I love all of his work....

I'm pretty pumped about both of these projects and can't wait to finish and get them photographed!

I mentioned that Cami was sick and got the news that peach pits contain cyanide....[WTH?] so after making some custom dog food [which did not seem to help this time] I headed to the vet.
X ray's and blood work showed nothing but he said it was probably acid reflux.

OK.....

Pepcid at night before bed for 10 days.   Seems to be working.

Could have bought a designer purse for what that cost me.

Oh yeah...a couple of Netflix shows we have blown through....

Gypsy and Shooter

I have decided that Ryan Phillippe is kind of hot.

Both are very different shows.
