BUNGALOW NUMBER TWO

If you follow me on Instagram then you know that I am in Nantucket.  I felt safe on the plane....wore my mask the whole time and Delta is not selling the middle seat so there's that.

Thanks for all the sweet comments about my "D".
I can't wait to share the news when it is officially over!

As promised I have the second Bungalow that Pam did.  All three of them had their own personality....

The last one was a one bedroom and this one is a 2 bedroom.

Walking into the beautiful dark space....

I know I asked her the color but I can't remember what she said:)

Love the open shelving in the bathroom and of course the wallpaper.....

Coming up the stairs to this amazing kitchen...

The backsplash was all organic feeling!

I believe the countertops were quartzite.

Opposite the kitchen is a seating area....

This is standing at the other side of the room....

That beautiful art work is part of Pams collection so I do not know who the artist is...

I can tell you that the rug is Loloi.

Not sure why I did not get more pictures of the second floor bedroom.....

There you have it!  There is one more for Tuesday although I am traveling home that day so let's just see how organized I am to prepare a post early....

Flying to Boston on Delta was one thing but then we got on Cape Air Fear to the short ride to the island....

Dang hot on that sucker also!

Then we pulled up to her cute house and the amazing landscaping....
She whipped up an incredible meal on Wednesday night from the cookbook below.

I seemed like she was in the kitchen cooking for 5 hours....and I felt guilty as I might have just served her saltines with velveeta on them if she came to my house....

I mean she made organic vegan sour cream and that just about flipped me out.  From Cashews.  And it was white like sour cream....my question during the whole meal was why is it white...cashews aren't white????

Anyway....I am so at peace here....

Have a great weekend.....

SOME CREATIVE DESIGN WORK

I've got some fun pictures to share with you today!  My friend Pam Sessions of Hedgewood Homes gave us a tour of 3 of her Hedgewood Stay homes and all I can say is just WOW!

She likes to say she isn't a designer and I just want to flick her head when she says that....and maybe stomp on a toe or 2...haha

Here are the first pictures.....which is a one bedroom....

Simple backsplash....and beautiful Quartzite countertops!

Love the Brizo faucet....a great choice to the more expensive bridge faucets!

I love the dark ceiling....

Cute little dining area.....

And beyond the kitchen.....

Small living area.....

Love the metal butterflies on the wall....nice change from art!

And upstairs....

And of course....some black and white to get me going.....

This bathroom.....

So what are your favorite details?  I really like the butterflies and of course this bathroom!

Yesterday was my anniversary.  I felt sad all day thinking about it comparing where we are today to 28 years ago or even last year.....Why are endings so sad?

I am still not divorced yet....crazy I know....and the weirdest part is other than some emails about negotiations....I have not talked to him or seen him.  It will be a year on August 31.  Words that come to mind are replaceable and diminished.

Sometimes I think that if I was more he wouldn't have done this....But deep down I know I was OK and whatever happened between us was not really a response to me.

This might sound weird but I don't feel hate or harbor any bad feelings.  I realize he needed to do what felt right for him and I hope he finds happiness.  Not to say I don't have bad days.....

Hope you guys are having a great week.....

There are 2 more homes to share with you:)

PROJECT UPDATE

Hard to believe it's Friday....again.  I've been busy selling but when I look around I still see so much STUFF [see last post if you missed it!].

What's funny is that I get excited when I get 10.00 for something but geez.....I probably paid 100.00 for it....hahaha.

Anyway.....blah blah.

I have the final pictures of the project I have been working on for a while.  They are moving in this weekend....and I know they are excited.

I will start with the kitchen...

All lighting is from Circa Lighting.

Color of the cabinets is SW Mindful Gray and the walls are BM China White

Hardware is from Top Knobs.

Floors are 1/2 Jacobean and Dark Walnut

Countertops and backsplash is Caesarstone Calacatta Nuvo

Faucet is Rohl in polished nickel

Looking for runners.....

Right off the kitchen is a grilling porch....

Thru the kitchen is the DR and this bar area....

Antique mirror in the cabinets....and these Circa Lighting sconces are my new fav!  So Classic...

Cabinets and countertops are same as kitchen.

Do you remember the doors.....

They were refinished and hung!

Cabinets and hardware [Top Knobs] in the laundry room.

This is a desk area in her closet!

The master bath....

I had never heard of "sugar marble" but it's very pretty!

I love how they trimmed out the top of the mirrors to match the top of the cabinet on the right in the master.  Never underestimate the power of architectural details.....

The powder room gets measured for wallpaper this Sat.....

Of course the mirror came shattered....ugh

But another one is on the way!

Thoughts?  Favorite things about this project?

Needless to say it has been a busy week....and I have 2 more renovations going on....whew!

So here is some news....the Friar Tuck project sold!  Yup....and I don't get to decorate it which I am sad about.  They already have a "famous designer" that they work with.....

But here is some news....they are replacing the large Serena and Lily globes! There are 3 of them [one over the island].

Oh well.....

I hope y'all have a great weekend...I would enjoy it a lot more if THERE WASN'T A PANDEMIC.

Just saying.
