BEFORE AND AFTER KITCHEN AND LAUNDRY ROOM

I know...I have gotten so lazy about blogging....I think of all these things I want to talk about and then I get distracted and well...I am sure we all know how that goes down!

Anyway I posted a reel on Instagram and someone said the pictures move too quickly so I thought I would put some of them on a post!  I can be nice like that:)

This was a fun project as I was working with Ladisic Fine Homes so things get done in a timely manner.

It was a renovation and there were some things that could not change.  The kitchen had a stainless backsplash and countertop so we worked with it.  The kitchen designer was Studio Entourage and they always bring the good ideas.

Here are a few before pictures where you can see the stainless steel elements that could not be changed.

These are all from the kitchen side and the other side was a laundry room that also needed an upgrade.

The first idea was to add a door so that you did not have to go outside the kitchen to get to the other space.

Here it is after they cut and framed the door way.

As you can see the cabinets were just kind of a yellow color.  New doors were made and the boxes were painted!

I chose Benjamin Moore Wolf Gray and it actually went well with all of the stainless!  All of the trim was painted the same also.

I selected a neutral gray and white check wallpaper to go in both rooms and the cabinets in the laundry room were oak.

Anna French wallpaper and Raoul fabric.

Beautiful brass hardware from Matthew Quinn Collection!

I can not quit with the cafe curtains!

Below you can see that we mixed in some of the oak cabinets on the kitchen side....

There was a powder room in the laundry side so they changed the door so that you could enter from the hallway....

The before is above and what a makeover this was:)

I also wanted you to see these LVT floors that I picked...they look SO real!

And there you have it!  I am pretty happy with the outcome.

Hope you guys are having an amazing Sunday....I took a long walk early this morning to beat the heat and now Cami and I are hanging out in the air conditioner.

THIS AND THAT

This was kind of a slow week for me....which was nice as I did not have a lot of appointments.  There was plenty of things to do on my computer and for clients....but I have to say that I rather prefer being out on appointments. It is too easy to get distracted when I am home:)
You know like having a conversation with your dog.

One thing I am excited about is getting the green basement photographed soon...just waiting on a date from the team.

Also I will be headed to Hilton Head next week for a few days.  Meeting a possible new client over there....
I don't normally do out of town jobs because of  getting a dog sitter for Cami but I could take her in a pinch since my brother lives there. I think I have mentioned before that she is not the best in the car with this very shrill whine that puts me in a bad mood.

But I love her....

So here is a piece of art that I had commissioned from my friend Vickie Sides.....

Isn't it the cutest?  I framed it out very simple....and she just used craft paper.

Here is the bathroom and of course it will get hung.  I kind of wanted to pick up on the brown raffia color in the mirror!

Speaking of art I picked up these pieces at Scott's Antique market and now I'm hot to do a room around these colors:)

I will find somebody!

Picked out this pretty Schumacher wallpaper to go in a bedroom.....She is gonna be pretty!

Did the reverse here with dark grout and white penny tile!  I really like it.....what are your thoughts?

And I picked up this little basket at Scott's.  There is nothing more I like than texture with greenery.....

I also put together this bedroom....it wasn't selected but I would like to do my guest room with everything...not gonna happen but I love the camel, browns, and creams!

And I am very excited to finish up a laundry room with this time backsplash....got some good wallpaper coming also....see below!

What does everyone have planned for the weekend?  I want to purge my closet....it needs it so badly.  First thing I have to do is order some of those hanging racks but most of the ones I see on Amazon do not get good reviews.....very flimsy.  BUT.....I don't want to get the ones form Container Store that are 100.00 either.

I figure I need 2 cause the last time I did my closet I just took everything out and put it on my bed.  And Lord....you can not mess around with that project cause it has to be addressed right away.

Otherwise you just start dumping it in bags to take to the Goodwill.....cause you are over it.

Maybe after I finish this post I will do some more research on those racks.

Time to walk Cami...the rain has stopped....

AN ALMOST FINISHED BEDROOM

Well I guess I did take a small break....every time I say I am going to blog more I curse myself:)

But hey....I guess that is what old people do...I don't know....but maybe!
I will be 71 in a little over 3 weeks....yikes!

Anyway....This will be short but I thought you might enjoy a bedroom that is 95% finished except for one big wall that needs something but you won't see it in these pictures....because I can be clever like that....

I worked on this house from the beginning and I might add it is one of my favorite homes.  The light in this house is amazing....

Every darn room is magical.

I have posted some of this room before while in progress....she actually had the rug in a family room in her old house.  She also had the bedside chest so we repurposed them here.  We ordered the bedspread from Amazon.....it has a great romantic feel.

These beautiful Visual Comfort lamps were the perfect modern touch for this space....you know it is good to mix the modern and tradition together.

Newsflash right...haha

I ordered some really pretty Schumacher velvet to make a headboard...again with a more streamlined style!
And the very pretty Gabby Decor mirror was a nice addition for over the bed.

One of my favorite soft florals from Lee Jofa!

Here is what is really cool....she had these shutters and they were a perfect fit in this bedroom on each side of the window....winner!

She also had the chair and art which also go pretty with the softness of the space.  Another piece of modern furniture with the acrylic console!

In the bathroom we painted the walls BM Coventry gray and she found this rug at Scotts Antique Market....It was the perfect combination of colors!

So I am off to walk Cami....we have been having great weather here in Atlanta but it is not going to last. I am headed to Scott's on Thursday to look for things for an install coming up....

THIS AND THAT

Well.....hello!  2 post back to back and then nada....

I am anything if NOT dependable right:)

Last weekend we went to Nashville to bury my sister.  My Mom's family is from there and we have a mausoleum that has been in out family since 1865.

Kind of weird posting this picture but she is safe and sound with my Mom and Dad. #reallife

Anyway we stayed downtown and Lord.....it was like Las Vegas....In fact I was calling it Nashvegas!  It's like every bride in the country goes there for their bachelorette party.  For real!

We had a nice family dinner at The River House on Saturday night and a small service on Sunday before we left to go back to Atlanta....

Love the way it was decorated!

My outfit....everything is very old or I would share details.

We were all missing her so much....It will be a year in August and it's hard to wrap my head around it.

When I got back I headed down to Lake Keowee for a small install.  All installs are in pieces these days which I hate.  I love to do the whole thing and then see people come in and get excited.....at least that is the goal:)

This Schumacher fabric below is amazing!
I had a bed made so she would not have to wait 9 months to get it.
Her pillowcases were still in the dryer if you are wondering...haha

Let's get down to business.....
Have y'all watched these shows?

Lincoln Lawyer [not as good as Bosch but decent]
The Offer....I really liked it!
Jeff Lewis new show?  He has mellowed....
Hacks....the one liners are hilarious!
Finished Ozarks #sadface
Keep Sweet Pray and Obey....documentary WHOA...

Any of course I love all reality shows because it's mindless...haha

Are you thinking that I watch too much TV....probably but it's cheaper than going out.

It is hot as the dickens here in Atlanta....and will be for the next 2 weeks.  Ugh.  I know.  I should shut up cause this is summer right....

I picked up some of these prints for that bedroom and I can't wait to have them framed!

I took a small acrylic frame and put a little piece of art in it....

And here is my haul from Scott's last week.....

So that is all that is new around my house...
What are y'all up to?  Some good vacations?

Happy to catch up with everyone:)
