THIS AND THAT

I decided to write this post after I worked out this morning and Lord....that WO almost killed me.  I am the oldest person in class.....feels like I am always the oldest person everywhere these days:) and I just do the best I can and push it as hard as I can.

But seriously......whew!

Anyway it was a busy week of trying to stay on top of everything with my projects!  If you follow me on Instagram you can just stop reading right now....haha.....just scroll down to the brownie recipe!

This will just be a repeat of what I have been posting lately.

I went to get some things framed and I usually go to Fast Frame on Piedmont Road.  They do a great job and are very helpful.

Can't wait to pick up this bad boy!

On Tuesday I had 6 pieces of furniture delivered to a client and 3 rugs!  That was fun seeing everything put in place....just a few more pieces to the puzzle....

This rug really warmed up the joint!

I got 2 chest to go on either side of the fireplace....we are going to get the surround made a little darker.

A pretty Bungalow 5 desk that we are using in a bathroom for a makeup counter!

This Arteriors Home bench which will be recovered in a pretty Schumacher fabric!

In the foyer this Woodbridge chest which will get a mirror over it!

And 2 Charles Stewart swivel chairs!  Everything needs pillows!

Another client had her Brazilian Cherry floors redone and they look SO much better!  All that red gone.

And the hardware that we selected was installed.  The Jasper pull from Emtek in polished nickel.

And these in her master bath are from RH.  I have the same ones in my kitchen and have had them for many years!

Another client had her ceilings painted...such a pretty color.  SW Sandew

This is the sunroom but I can't remember what this color is.....

And last my friend stays with me on Tuesdays and she brought me a present....

How cute is this?  She got it at a store in Greenville SC called 4Rooms.

And she is one of my friends that is a really good cook!  You might be thinking that most of my friends are good cooks and you would be right!  A girl needs to eat:)

Let's just say that she whipped up these brownies from scratch and they were ready in 20 min....

Here is the recipe straight from her:)

Freaky,
Here is the recipe for my brownies.  There are two keys to these brownies:

 1.  Do not overcook!!!  I set the timer for 20 minutes and watch them.  The thing that makes these brownies great is that they are gooey.
 2.  I put less flour than it calls for.  (this adds to the gooey vs cake texture)

I made a half batch for us because Lord knows we couldn't have had an entire pan of brownies in the house.

2 sticks of butter
5 tablespoons of cocoa ( I use a little less )
2 cups of sugar
4 eggs
1 ½ cups of flour
2 tsps vanilla

Melt butter and cocoa in a sauce pan.  ( I mix the entire thing in this one pan) Stir in sugar . stir in eggs quickly so that they do not cook in the warm butter/sugar mixture, stir in flour, and add vanilla.

Cook in 9x13 buttered and floured pan.  350 degrees for about 30 minutes.  Set timer for 20 minutes and watch.

Alrighty then...it's 5:30 so I better publish this baby!

PROJECT UPDATE

Well..... we made it to Friday.  I don't know about you but I hardly had a moment of down time.

I mean I did not have a chance to wash my hair one night when I was going out so I tried using a curling iron on it.

News flash....dirty hair will not curl.  I love that I am still  learning at my age:)

On Monday I was at a  clients for the delivery of furniture that had been in storage for 2 years.  Uh huh.  They started a renovation after we ordered everything.  It is just now ready....well.....close.

Let's review....you may remember this project.

This is the real estate listing picture from 3-4 years ago

It's a really cool house from the 70's but it needed some TLC.

After they moved in we just threw some left over furniture in there that eventually got re-upholstered for the master bedroom.

They added a porch off the back and some pretty iron windows and doors.

And by the way....that ceiling light is not staying...hahaha

Here is the original floor plan....

This is the sofa from Charles Stewart in a deep teal green.

The rug is from Lee Jofa.

The end tables from Charles Stewart.

This beautiful fabric....
On this Charles Stewart chair!

The coffee table is from Serena and Lily.

This chair from Bungalow 5.

Pretty trim on the bottom of the ottomans....

This art was the inspiration for all the fabric selections.  This Lee Industries bench with Duralee fabric.

The granite wall on this side was also replaced with french limestone and a new mantel.

The foyer before

The granite walls were replaced with french limestone as were the dark slate floors.....

So much landscaping and we had this beautiful concrete bench from Currey and Co delivered that day also.....

This is the side of the house now.....with a new entrance.

We still have a long way to go with all the things that make a room look special....pillows, lamps, curtains, accessories....etc.

I will keep you updated!

Bless her heart because she lived in the house through the renovation.

Whats up for your weekend?  I am helping Rose next week with an install so we may be doing a little shopping to prepare.  And of course giving my Cami girl some well deserved love.

THIS AND THAT

Well here we are....a few days before Christmas and I am making the effort to change out my pillows instead of putting up Christmas decor.

Priorities people:)

I've had these covers forever and I was just feeling frisky yesterday.  I should have used that energy to put up my wreath....I'll get to it!

I can tell you it was a busy week of furniture delivery and mini installs.

This great Bernhardt table was delivered along with the Bungalow 5 chairs danish white chairs!

The seats will be covered in this Thibaut fabric that is being backed and waterproofed!  The rug is also performance!

My friends had a Secret Santa party and they just moved in their new house....
Check out this situation....there is not much I like better than a window inside of the house.

They are also not afraid of color....
We played this game....

So fun....you can find it on Amazon.

If you live in Atlanta you have probably heard of Pollen Flowers and Goods.  I was in there the other day and just didn't want to leave!

You know I wanted that black and white stool!

Yes....I did get some wrapping done and I practice what I preach using Targets black box with black velvet ribbon!

And it was a Christmas Miracle because I finally emptied out my Pinewood Forest showhouse....3 months later.

I always spend time going to vintage shops when I looking for the perfect thing for a client..... and last week between installs....I was out and about.

Two awesome chairs....worlds apart right!

Palm Beach style....

These cute little risers are everything!

I wracked my brain thinking of a place for this cute little rug.....

And of course you know I loved this black and white bench!

I'm gonna leave you with this incredible tree decorated by my friend Jennifer Schoenberger who can rock some Christmas decor!

And if I don't say it enough.....thank you for reading....In February I will enter my 9th year of blogging.  How the heck have I stuck with this for so long....who am I?

Have the biggest fattest Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday you can muster up.
