ONE ROOM CHALLENGE 2016 REVEAL

Alrighty then.....that's a wrap.

Pencils down.....the buzzer went off.....whatever isn't finished means you better fake it when taking your pictures right:)

Another One Room Challenge in the can....Linda can take the summer off while planning for the fall edition!  Hopefully you are here because you know what the ORC is.....20 designers and 6 weeks to finish a room makeover.   On Thursday's there are about 250 of us crazies riding the coattails and linking up!

I think we should get straight to it cause I could babble on for a while but y'all would already be scrolling down to the pictures right?

The beginning.....
Ha Ha...not really.....but dang it is so good when you have  the worst "before"!

Ok....before the room was actually dismantled!

After

The whole room was planked with 1/2 " plywood and painted BM White Dove. It's very rustic meaning no caulking or anything.

Before

After
The the stripe duvet is from Ikea!
The white pillow with the rope cording is from Target.

I purchased the chair from Scott's years ago.  The black and white dot pillow in it is from Target.

Design secret.....when you are flat out of accessories.....throw a hat on it:)

Moving on.....before

After
Mirror from HomeGoods.....

I am in love with the Pottery Barn gold lamps and nightstands.

The vase is from Target....Rhino and bowl under the drawer from HomeGoods.

Before....this is the angle you see when you stand in the doorway...

The curtains were ready mades from Pottery Barn that we had small pleats put in.  Rods from Target.

This is the before of the wing chair.

I found that small wood stool at HomeGoods for 49.00!  Major score....

Pillow from World Market!

You can see the Schumacher wallpaper peeking out!

 Before of the dormers....

Hard to get a good shot in this area....

I had to take all the pictures and when there is a window involved it's above my pay grade to get a good shot.  Grrrrr.

 Before of the bookcases....

After

I call this bookcase styling "lite".....keeping it clean and uncluttered.

Bunny whipped up all of the art and the lamp and faux succulent came from Target.  I just folded up some blankets for texture.

Bookcases painted SW Urbane Bronze

Finished!

I still had fun and huge thanks to "Bunny" cause she filled in all the holes for me by expediting, making the art and getting the room ready to install!  She is thrilled and her daughter called from NYC and said she wanted the whole room shipped up to her!

I laugh when I look at my past ORC post and realize that almost every room has these colors in it!  Crikey.....it seems like am I one dimensional!

Thanks Linda for urging me to link up:)

Excited to see all of the reveals from yesterday of the 20 designers and start reading through the linking participates this weekend!

No rest.....so much to do to help get the Kitchen Of The Year ready for it's big day this weekend:)

As always, you knocked it out of the park! I love the color palette and all of the pattern you added, and that wallpaper in that sweet little nook is awesome! Urbane Bronze is a personal fave - looks awesome on those bookcases! Well done!

You always knock it out of the park, always!
You must have the energy of a ten year old, seriously. How do you do it all?!!

No surprise, I absolutely LOVE this room! Oh my gosh, you went the smart way with rustic - I caulked and puttied and sanded my brains out when finishing my shiplap and I think I like yours better :) LOVE the Urbane Bronze bookcase and as always your styling is impeccable (I want that rhino btw).

Fantastic! I love your use of neutrals and I'm a big fan of Urbane Bronze too. My faves: the spotted pillows, the wallpaper, the lamps. I think you definitely belong in the main group of the Six Week Challenge. I liked your room better than most of the 20 from this year. Just sayin'. ;-)

One Room Challenge, not Six Week Challenge. DUH!

This is beautiful! Your creativity is amazing ...
Can you give source for black floor lamp?
Also, are the green leaves in vase for real or faux?

Sherry I love this room! I've been seriously contemplating doing shiplap in my living room. After seeing this room I have to go for it. This is just the most darling room. I love all the little touches and how you found so many affordable elements for this room. Congrats on completing yet another gorgeous room!

Hi Sherry! I just wanted to let you know that out of 227 rooms during the last ORC, your room was one of the most inspirational for me! Thank you and hope you can check the post out and see why I thought it was so! Have a great day! http://buhayatbahay.blogspot.com/2016/05/orc-inspirations-lessons-learned.html

Love the transformation!
Where are the grey watercolor dot pillows (on bed) from?
I have been looking for a pattern sheet/pillow to tie in all my grey & neutral bedding together.
Thanks!
