ONE ROOM CHALLENGE WEEK 3

Welcome back to the One Room Challenge!

Week 3.....otherwise know as "halfway"....which triggers feelings of anxiety and could cause a nervous tick that stays with you for the duration.

Yes..... there is 20 of us.  Yes..... we only have 6 weeks to get to the top of the "design mountain".

Meanwhile Linda is sitting back laughing that "evil laugh".....which makes the little hairs on your neck stand up.

Here is a round up of what got finished this week.

Bye bye army green!

That is one sad looking sofa......

Window seat is also gone.

Hmmmmm there seems to be some difference in the floors.  "What to do" she said tapping her chin.

Can't see that TV now!

After the painters left I decided that this area under the island needed to be painted.

And....since I couldn't get my Farrow and Ball wallpaper I went in another direction.....
I shopped the house I found this old walnut drop leaf table and 2 Hitchcock chairs that belonged to our Mom.  She will not be happy about this but I am painting the chairs white.  Sinful.

Also can you see that scrap of fabric?  It's from Ikea.

As much as I wanted to use the Schumacher version....you can't beat the price.

I ordered this from Overstock for behind the sofa.

With the mantel and bookcases in mind I did a little shopping at Target....for some accessories.

Yeah....that was my lunch.  No judging please.

The "bunny" showed up with this and went over the floors like she was doing laps at the Indy 500.
It takes a village.

So what's on the horizon for this project?

Window Treatments
Floors
Lighting
Rug
Barstools
Styling

Breath in.....breath out.

It's time to check out the progress from these hard working peeps!

Get to it!

As I read this I wished I had some sisters, then I realized I wish I had you and the Bunny as sisters. Amazing! Love your Target cart lunch too :)

It's looking so good! What a difference that urbane bronze makes on her built ins. Wow! Love the paint under the kitchen counter, a huge improvement.

Slow and steady, you're half way there.

You're lucky to have sisters that let you use their spaces for the orc and they pitch in to help too!!

Love the new wall paint colour and the bookcase looks 100x better with that dark shade. That Ikea fabric is a good find. Love how you are bringing in some budget friendly items, paired with the Lee upholstered pieces, this is really going to be a great high-low story. Can't wait to see it all come together!

I bought that same throw last night at Target- I love Nate Berkus' line for this season. Did they give you a free $10 off coupon when you order on Target.com? Not going to lie, it felt a little bit like Christmas when he handed it to me. Also, please tell me you saw their new marble lamps- totally gorgeous. I even wrote a short post on what a great deal they are and you'd never know they came from Tar-jey!

Love your ideas!
You may want to have a look at the 10-20 post on "House of Turquoise." It shows what maybe the same bar stools painted. Just a thought.

O man I love your posts! Looking sharp. The Ikea panels are a nice budget solution. Are you gonna use it as paper on the upper walls? or curtains. I Might have missed that.

Oh, this has come a looooooong way already, Sherry. You are a magician! Love the serene gray...that console is spectacular (wish i needed it bc it's a killer price, too!)...the Ikea fabric is genius...and the built-ins. Nice. We are attempting a version of our own over here and I'm pretty certain my husband wants to leave me after this.....
