Well not a real horse but after not blogging for a week…..I need a swift kick in the ass right now.
I trust everyone had a relaxing week with family and friends.
A few weeks ago I posted about a coffee table that I had painted for a client.
And the top
We could have bought a new one but this was a good size…solid wood and anytime I can recycle in a project I'm game.
Leaves funds for something else.
We also had these painted.
Good size and nice for storage.
Plus I saw this while looking for end tables and was inspired!
The cube in the top right hand corner.
Easy Button.
Back to the coffee table.
I used these painted walls I saw at the Southern Living Showhouse down in Senoia, Georgia for my inspiration.
Now you are going to ask me the colors we used [because you already have]…..I THINK it was Clay Beige and Manchester Tan [Benjamin Moore].
I wanted the coffee table to look "more than just a painted table".
Here they are side by side so you can see the difference. The cube was painted just an off white with a very soft glaze.
I pulled some "beige" colors from the pillow fabric.
Here is a close up.
I am really pleased with how it came out.
Allrighty then….all is good. This was easy…I am back in the game.

They came out amazing! I love the tone on tone look of the table. It is so amazing what you can do with dated dark furniture and lighter paint colors. It's like night and day. Beautiful work Sherry!
Love that table and honestly never would have thought to do a pattern like that. It turned out beautifully!
I love that wall paint job!
I love that tabletop detail!
Gosh - love it - the colors are fantastic. I want to see more (the whole room with the check wall)!! Great job and thanks for posting the colors you used!
So great! Really pretty.
I have actually managed to finish reading your archive in this past month. I just devoured it. I haven't been this excited about a blog since I discovered Cote de Texas three years ago. You are just super funny, talented, and you know how to work nuetrals! I am a big fan. Thanks for mentioning how you pulled the "beige" for the table out of the pillow fabric. These little clues help. I am so in love with neutral rooms but pulling it off in my own home...I am still figuring it out...why is interior design so hard? Who knew?

I just love that you used what your client already had--such a beautiful update.
Wow, those tables are fabulous! I recently used that World Market coffee table for a client as well. Didn't paint it though. Both tables look great!
You have such great vision! The whole room looks perfect!
Awesome ... the table I love that it's so subtle. Boy do you have the eye!
Oh I forgot all about that wall treatment ... way to go ... looks great on the table and I would still love it on a wall! xo

I'm always amazed at how straight you keep your lines when you are painting.

I love that dang checkered table! Much easier and quicker than walls too. Sha-smartypants!!
Love it! But then I always love what you do ;-)
Miracle worker my friend!
I'm happy with my choice, and strongly recommend them to anyone who is looking for one. This storage place rocks! I only rented for a month and they were totally professional and accommodating.
Really fun, love the large plaid checker wall!
