SCOTT'S JUNE

You will not believe who I got to meet/shop with at Scott's yesterday.....

I am so glad I started posting about my shopping excursions there because:

A. People know I REALLY like to shop....duh.
B. They call me when they are coming so we can meet.

Booyah.

Let me tell you about someone who might be able to out shop me.....although I think we can add up what I have spent there in the last 24 years......and what she spent in one day....I am still the winner hands down.

Marianne Simon  came all the way from Washington.....[not DC either] to throw down.  Oh and I had to help her throw it cause she ran out of cash and then I tapped out the ATM also.  What is up with that......  It is like my husband is running that thing and he has a "general" on it.

FYI.....you guys.....bring cash and your checkbook.  Very few people take credit cards.

Here is a picture of the shopping crew.....starting on the left is Paula  from Two Ellie....Donna from A Perfect Gray.....Tiffany from Savor Home  ...[me].....and Marianne from Marianne Simon Design

I don't have to tell you there was a lot of hugging and chatting it up going on.

I did manage to take a few pictures....

I thought this was worth saying....when you are tired of black frames and white mats try a flax colored one...

I have used this application before and it is a great alternative and adds a nice change.

Here is another look to show that it works well even with a picture that has color in it....

Sometimes I go to Scott's just to look at how things are styled.  One thing I notice is that if you add some greenery.....it brings things alive....

Look how beautiful this old birdbath looks with a simple magnolia bloom in it.....

This container is stunning with some floating gardenia.

And....how pretty is a collection of crystal....

And some pillow love.

Want....

Hubba Hubba....

Boo!  Drunk clown....

And....WTF?  Who is going to buy this.

Thought these lights were clever.....

The colors in this picture....

The impact of black painted furniture.

The shape for these stools....

You could seriously find any style of chairs you wanted....

DIY?

Oh mommie..these headboards.

Love the shape of this loveseat....

And this one would be great with some really modern fabric on it right?

How about this chest....

With this gorgeous gray marble top....

Another interesting shape for this sofa....

That about wraps it up for this month.

I am going to pack for the flying marathon that is about to happen. Fly to Chicago today.  Spend the night and leave for Hong Kong at noon tomorrow.  Spend one day there and fly back to Chicago on Wednesday at noon...... then home to Atlanta that night.  Let's see...34 hours of flying.

I'm hoping to check in Thursday....but we will see how that goes.

Have a crazy good weekend.....

Sherika

Bought several things there yesterday, shopping with a client, & for myself.

A local famous design/build guru was at the same booth where I beat him by seconds, literally, for a historic church pew.

Anyway. Wish I had put him on Youtube harassing the booth vendor and me trying to bully his way to my purchase.

Arranged for delivery of my items and left. When vendor came to my home he had a great new story.

Mr. BIG came back and tried to buy my pew again. Then became verbally abusive to the owner. Lastly, Mr. BIG said, "I'll pay $20/each for the numbers off the pew, that woman will never know."

Of course the ancient pew was delivered with its numbers. This name is so big I can't write it here.

I also heard the best gay sex joke of my life while shopping Scott's yesterday. It can't be printed but have totally enjoyed making my calls with it.

Oddly, the bad behavior was so bad I enjoyed it too. Trust me, if it were on Youtube, zero fear about posting it !!!

Yes, my client enjoyed it all too.

Trying not to be jealous. Marianne and I had a long, fun telephone call months ago. So right about greenery adding the Je ne sais quoi.

you guys look so pretty and happy. how fun. that wtf item is beyond. ha! i almost had to pound a seller at a garage sale this weekend. i offered 10 bucks for a small stack of old stained doilies and lace no other human would ever glance at, and even after admitting she acquired them for free, she asked me to select my favorites. took time to do that...maybe 5 little pieces...and she says '20 bucks.' i was so outta there and cannot stand those stickers that say 'make me an offer!'

smiles to you and safe travels.
