Christmas spirit

There are 12 days until Christmas.......I am moving at the speed of light here...the front porch is done.  Since you saw the other front porch I did with birch logs.....then you know I grabbed a few for myself :)

Here is my wreath.  It's not earth shattering....but it proves to my neighbors that I do believe....:)

I just took a plain wreath and added a few branches from my backyard, along with some eucalyptus and tied it with white burlap ribbon.  Whew knew I was so creative.  Just kidding......this looks like a project for 6th graders after all of the wonderful decor I have seen in blogland.

Then I took the birch logs and stuck them in my planter....

So dang easy....moss, glitter pinecones, burlap and twine.
Shoot I could take the pinecones away and leave this up forever....no watering!!!!!!

While we are at it here is an old cement lamb that I got about 15 years ago at Scott's.  I love how the moss has found him.

Sometimes my one dog [he was dropped at birth I swear] will notice this guy, freak out and not want to go past him.  Wish I could get it on film because it is quite funny.

A few more answers to questions about the benches.  I got the upholstery webbing here.  I just measured what was there and ordered a little extra.  You know" measure twice....cut once"  HA!
Then I just folded the ends under and stapled.

Oh yeah.  Here is the info about the carpet in my design plan.  The sample came from Myers Carpet here in Atlanta.  You can give them a call and shoot them a picture because I am not positive of the name.

And......I was looking through some blogs the other day when I should have been doing something productive  and found this crafty little number......

Are these not the cutest dang things ever??????  Cami from the blog tidbits made them and she is quite the talent!  You need to go over and take a look at all of the other things she has done!  I love how she did the pictures.

Allrighty then.....that is all for the day.  Off to pick out floor stain color.

I love your wreath on the front door! I like the eucalyptus you added too. Thanks for the order info for the black jute webbing. I've been looking for some and can usually only find the red (which I have plenty of). I just ordered some black. Yay! That blog you featured looks cute. I'm going to go check it out.

I covet that lamb. I found a great OLD cement ram with awesome horns in a yard of house in town. I'm gonna ask my husband to steal it, er, buy it from those folks for me for christmas. donna

So chic! I really love what you did. It looks simple and almost modern with a beautiful richness...(does that make sense?) Maybe it's all the textures you used from the birch wood to the eucalyptus to the white burlap... anyway, it looks fabulous!! *** love that little lamb too!

Love your entry!! Birch logs are my fave and I used to have a planter just filled with tall birch logs that I trudged around the forest for next to my door. Perfect all year, especially for a spot that gets no sun from the overhang.

That is no grade school project wreath! It is simple. gorgeous. sophisticated. Totally lovely, everything. Question on the houndstooth fabric in the fabric show -- is that Duralee (it looks less white than Duralee's). If you have a minute (ha! I know) could you let me know sometime who it is? Looking for that exact color and scale. Thanks and have a great weekend!!
