I agree that I like to change things up but not for just 3 weeks. If I am going to work that hard on something..... there has to be either a party or it is going to stay for a while right?????
Bah Humbug to me huh?
Whatever...I can take it.
Here are the details.
You saw the before
There are 2 and I purchased them back in early spring. Cheap.
And the fabric I was going to use
Time for the staples to come out. Not a fun job and after I started then finished one my husband jumped in and did the second. Of course that was after much complaining about how my shoulder was hurting and me shouting loudly "boy this sure is hard". Walking around clutching my arm like somebody went all wrestle-mania and hit me.
I had to order the upholstery webbing online because I could not find any with the black stripe instead of the red. I think I did that about 3 months ago. Then I was tired and had to take a nap :)....not really but I want you to see how slow I was moving on this issue.
Spray paint was next and I am not going to put you too sleep with pictures of that. I will tell you that I used Krylon indoor/outdoor semi-gloss black. You don't need a picture of the can right?
That paint was the bomb. No dripping or clogging. So smooth. Score at Michaels for 4.99@can.
Well here we are after the paint and webbing was installed.
In case you are just joining us YES...my floors are white! In my whole house. All because of a dishwasher leak last summer.
Seriously I had to take a picture of how the webbing was. My memory has deteriorated so much. The 60's did that to me if you get my drift "wink wink". Go on with you little brats that weren't even alive then....
And...here they are all finished. Well one anyway. Both are done but they look just alike!
I still have not polished up the brass thingys on the legs. Waiting for them to get good and dry before I tape the legs again. Normally I am not that patient.
I have them both in my guest room, one at the foot of the bed and one here. [bed is to the right]
Then I was getting all stylish by folding this little flea market vintage crocheted throw on top.
One project finished...at least 50 to go.
I am kind of loving them.... what do you think????
Likey?
Scott's tomorrow.
Anybody going?
Let's meet for coffee.....but let me know so I can slap on a little makeup. I don't want to scare anyone.

Damn, girl! You is GOOD!!!! LOVE the bench, webbing, fabric and the back-story.
I am sorta in the same boat. I am not sure if I have the energy to get my navity scene out and then I am flooded with Catholic guilt since Jesus is the Reason for the Season, yo.
Oh I love Sheriky!!! They look awesome. I'd be very happy being in that guest room. I would certainly meet you for coffee and Scott's but darn it I live too far away.
I love, love, and love.....You had a vision and you saw it through, you are such the cool senior girl at "blog high school"!
Love your benches!! Love your story too. I'm having trouble getting decorated this year and have been doing everything I can to avoid it. I just finished an unnecessary project to keep from doing it too! I'm dying to go to Scott's sometime! If I wasn't in NC I'd be there in a heartbeat....it would keep me out of the attic!!
Love Kacey's comment about the guilt!
A mid-Century tuffet. I love it! Nice makerover.
A where'd you get that rug? Or is it two rugs?
Super cute! I think exposing the upholstery webbing makes it unique. Nice work Sherika

Sherry, those are wonderful, the webbing showing is perfect....and as usual, you made me laugh at least 10 times, maybe that was an exaggeration but you get the picture! The comment about the 6o's.....I was born in the mid sixties but I remember the late 60's, you naughty girl!! HAHA!
Looks great! Did that guy who comes to your house cover the cushions?
Maureen in Decatur

Fantastic job! I love everything about it, from the webbing to the fabric choice. It looks great with that phone on it too!

Where to begin? The benches....to die for! Your humor, side splitting. My favorite today was the remark about the 60's but there were others that had me practically peeing my pants. You love that, I know!
Cathy
I LOVE THEM!!! I'll take two:)
haha! I had my *ss in the attic crawl space, dug out two boxes and quit...totally can relate. I went back to painting a piece of furniture! Now that bench came out fantastic~it is so chic!
love the bench, what a perfect fabric you chose, really nice.
Nice! Great transformation and love the new webbing.
And dont feel bad about not wanting to decorate for Christmas.....I am in the same boat, but we are having a party.
Oh, and I would love to see a picture of that spray paint can..hehe.
The benches look wonderful, Sherry. Congratulations.
Best...Victoria
Sherry-This is the BEST redo! Now on to your holiday decor... (I was forced to finish mine for a party last night, and it feels so good to be done!) Can't wait to see what you come up with... Lisa
LOVE LOVE!!! you are too good. Not making Scott's this month - too much damage last month. Enjoy!
Those are fabulous!
Love these! Glad you held out for the webbing w/the black thread, it looks so good.
Sherry I'm loving your stools! They came out so well and loving the black and white. Great job girl!
LOVE them. Love the detail of the black stripe on the webbing! I've never seen it that way--only the red.
Love these Sha-Ray! You are good!
Sherry, your benches are wonderful. What a transformation!! I love the pictures with the red books.
Congratulations on a great job. So nice of your husband to help you out. Did you make him a special dinner for his effort?
Gorgeous AND hilarious...thanks Sherry :)
Love them Sherry, they turned out so sweet. The fabric you chose is perfect, and I love that the webbing shows a little bit.
it amazes me what a difference recovering makes!! beautiful!
SOOO cute! I love them. Very hip update. Wanna hear something sad? I'm actually headed to Atlanta tomorrow with some friends, but I don't think they're up for Scott's. We wouldn't get to go until Saturday anyway, and it would suck up most of our day. Darn it. I do plan to go hopefully early in the new year and will want to meet up with you then!
You are so clever, Sherry! The benches are fabulous! I love the fabric and the new webbing. And, as always, you made me laugh :)
Ha! They're Fabulous! Cool! They rock now! And i have quite a vague recollection of the late 60's early 70's being really really really funny... a tad surreal, and eating lots of nacho cheese doritos, and anything chocolate in large quantities, while watching Saturday Night Live.. We had the music too...
Cindy
Are you kidding? They look amazing! I WANT THOSE!!!
Can I have them when you get tired of them? ;D
Way better than Christmas decor by the way.
You kill me Sheriky! They look fantastic.....so fresh and such a statement piece. Great eye for taking the funky out and putting in the fab in. Now, get up to the attic and get started....Christmas is almost here and we don't want to be looking at your Christmas decor in January.
I love a good before and after. For such a little piece, thats a huge transformation....love it! ...I'm a new follower too!
Are you kidding me??? I LOVE it! You blow me away with your creativity and talent! xo
Dang that looks so good! Awesome job on the styling, too, you are a multi-talented multi-tasker!!!
BTW, making a quick trip to Atlanta on Saturday which means I could possibly pick up my giveaway prize in person!!!!!!
Sherry,
I FLOVE it. Black and white is so chic!
Happy Friday my friend,
Amy
Awesome! I love that webbing-where did you find it?
Love these! I just used Riad in seafoam in my bedroom on my bedskirt and pillows. What a great print! These benches are classics that deserved your love. You did them right.
Nothing like black and white - simply divine!
OK, totally behind on my reading. These are divine!! Totally would not have had the vision for this transformation. I would have thought to change the cushion, but painting the frame - genius! Love them. M.
Kind of loving them?! Totally loving them! The webbing plus the fabric choice. Awesome.
Your benches are adorable. Love that you can see the webbing - what a beautiful difference!
Absolutely fab! love them! great job once again! you go girl!
That looks amazing!!! Glad someone else moves at a glacial pace with DIY projects. And your floors are beautiful, too.
Ok, this is retro modern! VERY COOL! VERY ME!
Need to get over there and see what kind of water you are drinking - you have more energy and better ideas than any of us...
