Look at me being all responsible.....it's Monday afternoon and I am starting this post so I can finish it tomorrow morning. Don't say I don't love you guys:)
Tomorrow I have to close on a small piece of property that I acquired in my divorce [it's not signed yet but close] so I have to leave my house early.
Anyway I don't think I have shared the family room at the farm in Madison. I believe I last showed you the sectional that was delivered....
Let's review so you don't have to go back to the post!
They had the rug so instead of bringing out the red....I decided to stick with blue accents.....pillows.
So happy when I found this one!
OK....I was humming along with this post and my neighbor called saying she didn't have any water. I ran over with the "curb" thing which you can open the meter lid with and we managed to figure out what the problem was! I say we..... as her daughter stuck her hand in murky mud water so that we could find the valve. I was most impressed because she would have gone without water if it was up to me:)
Here is the before of the TV wall. I needed to find a longer console as this situation was not working:)
Originally in this room there was a leather sofa AND leather chair. I broke those babies up! I put the sofa in the front room.....just too much leather for my taste! [clearing throat.....design tip]
Moving into the dining room.....
This pretty owl by Jane Ingols
They will spend so much time here....and now it's comfortable!
It was purchased maybe 3 years ago....we zhushed it a little.....then the renovation began last year and after 2 stages it is finally finished! Of course I am sure there are still "ticks" on the property....haha.

Brava! Such a beautiful combination of light and dark. I love how you blended some of their existing furniture in with the new. I’m sure the family will enjoy these rooms for years to come.
I'm sorry to say that I think not pulling some red and the deeper blue from the carpet is a missed opportunity. That carpet is gorgeous. Putting bland pillows on a bland couch makes it look like you think the rug is a mistake. Celebrate it and color. #overtanandblack. Some kilim pillows would look gorgeous!
I love it! Every detail is perfect!!
A beautiful home. Loved what was done below the television. Great table legs.
I must agree about red pillows.
Could you source the black coffee table? I've been looking for one exactly like this!
And I also agree about the red and blue pillows...
Where oh where is this fabulous art book flea market find?? Love the dining room - fixture, Schumacher chairs, rug. Wallpaper in TV room, the new console and nobody does pillows like you. All the styling. Heart eyes. Beautiful home.
I am in LOVE with the LR rug!! And the stripe chairs with the diamond rug in the DR - so drooly! AND the beams, THE BEAMS!!!! I can't get enough! Thank you so much for the beauty :)
Hi Sherry,
I’m with you of just pulling out the blue in your choice of pillows. But I’ve never been a red person.
I have a question about buying ready-made drapes. Who would you suggest I can get to hem them? Do I need to find a local drapery fabricator. A seamstress?
I like to hang my drapes high but they are still too long.
Thanks for any advice you can provide.
I am in love with that rug! My preference would have been to use the richer colors from the rug, but the home is beautiful! That dining room is gorgeous!!
could you source the console. it is perfect in my opinion. i could not live with that rug but you toned it down.. i would have had to move it on out of there
Love the dining room!
Yes, it’s true, accessorizing makes a good room, fabulous! You’re a genius at bringing warmth and style to every room you touch. Bravo Sherry, it looks beautiful!
