BOULDER PROJECT

I stayed up past midnight finishing the Amazon show Jack Ryan.  I'm not sure what got into me....because normally I want to savor the end of a show but this one had me hooked pretty badly!

And who knew that John Krasinski was hubba hubba.  And.... he is so tall....and apparently when he took his shirt off....he's no stranger to the gym.

Now that I am  finished with Ozark and Jack Ryan....I'm waiting like a kid for Christmas for season 2 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

The good news is my stepdaughter and her husband finally found a permanent  house just outside of Boulder.  After all the flipping it was time to have their own place so I have been busy helping them with new furniture.

Here is a look at the living space.  [real estate shot]

And the plan....Take down that wallpaper and paint the walls white.  Duh...right?

Second....change out that fireplace to something like below.  Granny called and she wants her fireplace back....hahahaha.  [I'm gonna hear some flack about that staement!]

Don't get me wrong this is a great house....but I'm [normally] paid to be opinionated....and have no trouble complying:)

Here is the replacement wallpaper starting from the steel beam going to the left.

They went shopping in Denver and found a sofa that they like....

Thinking Ralph Lauren...

With this fabric

And they love these chairs....

With this fabric

Fairly neutral.....

They have 2 large dogs so everything needs to coordinate with black dog hair...haha.

This Pottery Barn ottoman/bench got ordered to use for the coffee table.

And they ordered this 8 x 10 seagrass knowing we would layer something over it.

That brings up to pillows [the best part]....kind of a blank slate right?  So I put together some thoughts for us to marinate on.

one
two
three

Of course I had to throw some neutrals in there but I guess that all depends on what rug we layer....

We had been thinking this one from World market because it's cheap and thinking of their dogs this could become a revolving thing.....

But if we go neutral on the pillows then we need color on the floor....so many decisions:)

Now you know I am going to ask for your favorite pillow scheme....so let me have it!

I've been listening to this Podcast

Yikes.....

Alrighty then....it's gonna be a tired day for me.

Love the choices. Pillow group 3. I have the pottery barn bench that I use as an entry bench (I’m your friend from Roxborough Park Colorado). It’s a work horse. Cannot wait to see how it all turns out.

Plan 2

I'm leaning more towards plans six just because of the fringe on the pillow adds more dimension and texture than just flat material. I'm still drooling over the ottoman/bench. I seriously think I "need" that in my life, right around December 25th. Dear Santa.....Ü

Love #6, such great furniture and rug, too!

This will be stunning when it comes together! I like plan 6, but the rest are good also. A lot of this room depends on the light also. Love the furniture. Will we get to see the rest of the house also?

Going with the crowd here, group 3 or 6 would be my choice...but it's really about which grouping makes them happy so will be fun to see where you end up. Will be watching for the results. :)

Top choices are 2 and 6. All great choices really (except not a fan of 2- too dark for my liking). Can’t wait to see finished room!

Hard to decide! I like plan 3,5 and 6. If you have not seen Handmaid's Tale, you MUST! I stayed up in the wee hours watching it for almost a week straight. SO good!

Hands down it is number three, or,number one minus the plaid and add a third pillow from number four!

I am following the developing trend - love 3. What about a cowhide over that sea grass? It's going to be an amazing space. Cant wait to see the final photos!
(We watch the same TV shows - lol!)

I know it will be fabulous and I love what you’ve picked. I’m leaning toward 2 or 3 pillow combo but most of them are great. Look forward to the reveal!

Loved 3 till I got to 6, fabulous!
Totally agree with your assessment of John Krasinski😜. Not usually a binger but did watch all Jack Ryan episodes in one day...it was cloudy😬. Also waiting patiently...not for Midge’s return. Heard Lauren Graham is joining the cast.
