THE LAST OF SCOTT"S.....

I am now home from the beach.  Even though I am older and wiser....I still can not figure out why vacations go so fast.

Must be one of the great unanswered questions in life.

But.....as I always say, if you were on vacation every day then maybe you would not appreciate them so much.

Insert "big sigh".......

So maybe for a little pick me up we will finish up the goodies that I saw at Scott's.

Here is a retro ice bucket!  Cute huh?
And a fun little hanging light fixture.

I thought these frames were interesting.  DIY anybody?  Send me a picture if you do!
Nice little vignette.  Love the lamps and doesn't this picture remind you of something David Bromstad [Color Splash] might paint.  He usually paints a big eye or nose.  Not a huge fan.  I actually liked his work better when he first started out.

This chair covered in burlap was only 250.00.  Yes!  She was talking to some people while I was checking them out and I waited forever for her to SHUTUP so I could get the info and talk to her about them.  Then I left.

More bleached wood.  What did I tell you.....trend.
Close up.  I am liking this look.

These pictures are from a friend who lives in Palm Beach.  There is crazy good picking down there......I was totally loving those chairs [250.00 for both] and the suzani pillows.  She sold them...bad for me....good for her!
These were Leslie's also.  $50.00!

Liking some brown and white chinoiserie.  Those mirrors are from Ballards....
Digging the shape of this coffee table.  And the yellow vases...and the white bird.....
Sometimes you really need something green in a room.  If you can't keep plants alive...go for something like this.
Here is another option.
Andrea had some pretty stuff this month.

More Lisa....love this ottoman.

OK...I have to wrap my head around my week coming up.  Projects to work on......crap to get done.

It's Sunday...what chu doin????

I am going out to get a bite with the husband.

Digging that hanging light! There is great stuff down here, but I can't figure out why? Transience I guess.

I don't know how to do fake plants, I need someone to help me...all my real ones have gone to heaven.

Sherry- What fun! When we lived in FL we found that just about everyone that moved there wanted to DUMP their stuff and go for the New Floridian Look. I got some really great deals and still have a few of the pieces that I picked up.

Great post today- Now-vacay-over-get to work!;>) xo Diana

Lots of great lighting and those burlap chairs please tell me you left with them? Vacations and weekends they both go to fast. I've spent a lot of time riding the tractor and mowing now a snack and then out to garden work but it's all fun. I hope you enjoyed your bite!

Sherry, I love shopping with you!

Like Debra, I also have been busy in the garden (filling a dumpster), until... I fell and broke 2 ribs.

So plans will be put off - hopefully not all summer!

Posted about it - but really wish there was video. :-)
Cheers!

things were going ok until a vine grabbed my leg at the junkyard. something poisonous so i am drugged and panicky. also we had the motorcycle and it started to storm. sometimes we have reason to panic.

otherwise, everything is FABULOUS!

Those are some great finds at Scott's! I didn't get to go this month. Things too busy around home. The trophy cup with the green ball in it caught my eye. I just ordered a trophy from Antique Farmhouse from a giveaway I won. I ordered one that looks identical to that one! Maybe it's the same one. That's a great way to use those trophies.

Aw, enjoy your time with the hubby. And I love those nesting tables. I went to a flea market yesterday with my Mom and it was all a hunk of junk - boo.

Darn, you don't know how jealous I am that you are so close to this fabulous store. We have a consignment store near us and a side table that was so beat up was $600.00! One day I am going to visit.

Loving the great finds Ms. Sherry, gotta love the treasures of my sunshine state. Whoa, I think I choked on my Redbull when I read your comment abour David Bromstad! I thought I was the only one who felt that way! He does much better work when he's not on the show i.e. his stuff on Design Star and that summer special HGTV has (can't remember the name because they now have way too many freaking shows to keep track of. Sorry the vacay is over my dear but how else would you have recharged for the insanity of the design world? Have a fab week

I am really in the mood to go antiquing so I am loving this post. That first light fixture was to die for, so unique, that is a keeper and the brass stack table and the bamboo table and the settee. Okay you can tell I really liked a lot of your images this time. Happy Monday,
Kathysue

I'm not sure where I stand on the bleached wood trend yet.......loving that ottoman and those nesting tables! I'm glad I don't live close to that place - I'd be dead broke!

Great finds! I love that cool hanging light! I'm with you on David Bromstad- he's so talented but I usually hate the art he does. Once he painted this gigantic red and white bullseye on this couple's wall, and all I could think about was how if that was my room I'd constantly feel like I was in Target. I'm surprised he didn't think of that before he painted it!
