A preview....

I just returned from a wedding in Cancun.  AND....what a wedding it was.  Can I just tell you that Latino's can party like I have never seen.  Forget college parties, NYE parties, and Las Vegas parties because that is a ladies tea compared to what I witnessed.  Wedding at 1:00, cocktails at 2:30, reception at 4:00 until 2:00 AM. I mean a tent on the beach, 350 people, sit down dinner, OPEN BAR [for 9 hours], band and a second meal.  I have to admit I could not hang....left at 10:30 and thought that it would be winding down probably at 11:00.   Oh no....at 1:00 they all went to the disco until 5:00 AM.  Yep, the bride and groom also.  And...they can be very persuasive, like "full court press" to get me to stay longer.  It was like being at a market in China where everyone is trying to get you to buy from them.  I had to be like a ninja and sneak out.  The fake "bathroom run"!

Back to reality, trying to catch up with reading blogs and posting one myself.  Forget laundry and unpacking.  Later.

Today just a few pictures of a project I am helping a friend with.  The master bedroom, painted Manchester Tan [Ben Moore] and the wall the bed is going on was wallpapered in a very light grasscloth.  We had the headboard made.

And here is a picture of the fabrics we chose for pillows.
This one is Celerie Kemble for Schumacher.
Adding Kravet Riad to the mix.
This is the wallpaper in the master bath.  It is Decorators Walk and I have always loved it.
Lucky there was wainscoting because it is a little costly!
She only has one dining area so we went rustic with the table.  Having the chairs done now.  She already had them [6 parsons] and we are using a flax colored linen.  Mixing them with 2 different host and hostess and adding 2 different side chairs to the mix.
We changed out the chandelier to this.  It was a very pretty glass bell jar which we reused in the master bedroom.
The wallpaper we used in the foyer.  Bought the wooden table at Scott's.  Now for the mirror and lamp.  I REALLY wanted to do a gold sunburst but I am fighting the urge.  I found a beautiful Venetian Mirror on Horchow that I think is going to be the one.  Still searching for the right lamp.  I am thinking color.
This is the light fixture in the foyer.

I will announce the winner tomorrow of the glass tray!  Hope everyone had a great Halloween.
Now the laundry.  Maybe.

Love it all!! Glad you had too much fun in Cancun! I'm off to enter your giveaway. Sorry I'm so late. Had company, then Halloween. Whew, it was almost as exhausting as your trip. I'm off to Chicago this weekend with my husband.
