Odds and Ends.....

OK....a little comparison shopping for you.  It started because my sister bought these for my niece at Anthropologie for 28.00.
I saw them at Pier One for 12.00.  She couldn't get there fast enough!  So I looked at the Pier One catalog a little closer, and here is what I found.
Anthropologie: 12.00  Pier One: 8.00

Anthropologie: 6.00 each
So I saw these at Old Time Pottery.
A whopping 1.99!!!
I know, there is not much in that place, but sometimes I can find a few things.
Like this....
And these
So cute....
Black and White!
Nice and modern.
Last thing, and these were cheap!
OK...OK...not the picture but the frames!  14.99!  I mean, you could put antiqued mirror in them, or anything!  Yikes....I didn't get them, and now my mind is spinning [and when is it not?]
Might have to go back.
Yep, another exciting Saturday night for me :)

Great finds, it pays to shop around that is for sure!! Loved the striped bowls and absolutely go and get those frames. They would be stunning with botanicals in them, remember the ones from Ballard, Kathysue

I love a deal! I wanted Fleur de Lys, vintage looking glasses from Anthropologie, but I think they were $8.00/piece. I found the same glasses (in blue) at World Market for $2.50/piece. Thrilling! I'm thinking of going back at buying them in green. They are similar to these: http://www.worldmarket.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3596243

I wish we had one of those stores near me. The one about twenty minutes from me closed. Love those frames. You better go back.

I LOVE Pier 1. You can find most anything from Anthropologie there even if it is the slightest different. Not that I don't love Anthrpologie because I do but, it is just TOO expensive!

How funny, just bought those measuring cups at Pier 1 for J2's new apartment....since I live in the 'burbs, I never make it to Anthropologie. Oldest daughter, now in Houston and bringing in the big bucks, generally blows all her money there. Younger daughter is much more sensible and is happy with the knock offs from Pier 1, Old Time Pottery and World Market. We've shopped 'til we dropped on the apartment decor, including thrift stores and the basement storage room.
