Decisions......or please, just pull the trigger.....

OK....this will be one crazy post and after you read it, you might wonder if I should even be allowed to make any decisions at all!  I mean...I can make them for my clients and be "firm" on my decisions.  BUT....when it comes to me, I am like a "dog with a bone" and I will keep at it until my friends will run from me.....
So...this is about the dreaded guest bedroom.  AND...it is a woozy!  After you see all the pictures I am going to post then you will understand why my husband just shakes his head and say's "yes honey...that's nice" and then run's to the golf course to get away from the craziness.
Let's start at the beginning, or really not the beginning, but maybe just the last 2 years....
So....I bought these shams and had them for about a week, took them back.
Went to Scott's and bought these pillows, but loved them so much, I put them in my den instead....(please notice the black end tables)......that will change soon!
Here is the chest and mirror that I got at Scott's.  I also got the chair [a pair] for my kitchen table but the were so uncomfortable I couldn't take it.  Now they are just for looks!

OK...more changes....I picked up the picture at a Flea Market near Seaside, Florida.  This is the new fabric for shams that I was thinking about.
OK...changed out the accessories.  Are you falling asleep yet?
So yes...I made a decision.  Done...right?
Well.....not yet!  Saw these white tables at Homegoods.  Brought them home to try out and I liked them better.  Used the black ones on a job so it was a trade out.  I know you must be thinking that I'm laundering  money or something, but NO....we are not really talking about a lot here.  One yard of fabric....used a white solid linen on the backs.  Oh yea...I added the plaid blanket which was previously in my den.  That's the beauty of using the same colors throughout your house!  You can always go shopping in another room.
Another shot...should be over right?  Ha!
OK...some of these changes are coming about because I am redoing the bedroom that my nephew lived in for 3 years while he was going to Georgia Tech.  When he moved out that is why I renovated the bath.  I bought these green pillows at TJ Maxx.  Really 19.99 each WITH the down forms....I was dancing in the isles!  They were for the other bedroom...but I thought let's give them a try.  Not sure yet, but there's more here....
Another view...And so you don't think I bought that old flour sack, I had it in my basement.  Just experimenting here.
The light fixture that used to be in my kitchen.  Really.......who knew that we would be using so many crazy things to make lights out of!
OK...here is the next big change!  I moved the blue chest out of the room into the other guest room.  That room is so much larger and really was a tight squeeze in this one.  I found this at Ballards Backroom and it was 40% off that day.  I think it was about 100.00.  I had the 3 white ironstone pictures [that was another phase!].  Now...for one last change, and the verdict is still out on this one.  I went to IKEA to get the black and white stripe rug that is so awesome,  to use in the other guest room, and while I was there I saw this next rug!  OK........I know what your thinking...."this girl needs meds".....I won't argue with that....SO
I thought I liked it.......
But.....then I put it in the other room [ that was to get the black and white stripe] and now I am all in a dither........I can't even think, I am so confused
Stay tuned......it's not over......cause now I am thinking that the black and white one might look good in my master...just to add a pop!  THAT RUG is going somewhere in my house cause I LOVE IT!

I just love that someone else has the same thought process when it comes to decorating their own home :) I'm never quite satisfied and constantly changing things. My husband thinks I have a problem!

Sher, this is a perfect example of how the process works! People must think that the photos of beautiful rooms just happen but, in fact, they are studied and studied and then studied some more.

Oh my...we are kindred spirits. I have such an obsession with pillows on my bed. I keep changing my mind..and it never looks quite right OR I always second guess the "look."

I love your little corner of blog world...thank you for sharing my passion of pillows. :)

Cheers~

Your dog with a bone analogy was right on. I feel the same way with my little projects. Your guest room looks very pretty.

honey, you are ME TO A TEE! Nothing is ever really finished at my house. I do like those green pillows (I'm a TJ Maxx gal myself) and the white tables...

what did you make that pendant light from? or did you buy it? it is so cool.

your mention of Scott's has me drooling. I want to go so BAD! I am about 2.5 hours away and am determined to make it soon. Maybe we could meet up...?

In case you get this twice it said server error. Let's try this again. I just found your blog and I love your style. You sound just like me having to move stuff around and not being able to make up your mind which looks better. I am constantly changing things around here. I live in Buford, just 35 miles N.E. of Atlanta. I have yet to go to Scott's and have lived here for over 43 years. I really do want to go sometime. I have got to find someone to go with me. Maybe my daughter will go. I love your light fixture in that room and the grain sack pillows. I hope you have made your mind up on which way you like the room. Just scrolling through some of your posts to see what I have missed. Look forward to more.

Kim
