KITCHEN DESIGN DETAILS

Holy Smokes.....there is a lot of work that goes into getting ready to go on vacation.  I have a list of all the things I need to do for my clients and everyday I check off a few but dang if I don't add 10 more.

We will just have to wait and see if I have a clean slate when I leave next Thursday.  Highly doubtful.

So many meetings when you are working on new construction.....it's overwhelming!  Wednesday we all got together with the kitchen cabinet maker to discuss details.

 Before hood....

After hood is installed and framed.

Discussions as to how much curve there should be.  We decided on the longer curvier one.

Talk of the stain color for the island and hood.

The cabinets are a shaker style with a small trim and they will be painted BM White Dove...

Remember these are the floors....

Here is the edge style for the island....hubba hubba!

He also has this cute little ring full of "cabinet feet styles"!

This is the one we selected.

When you look on the internet you can find a million different styles......

Next up is the hardware.  We went to Masterpiece Lighting on 14th street.

I was introduced to a line I was not familiar with called Ashley Norton.

We picked the silver one....yes I know while everyone is going gold.....but I am still a classic girl at heart.  And they are 8" long....happy about that!

Here are some other styles from AN.

Downstairs in the basement level this wall is all made of white oak.

To be stained like this...

In other news.....
I took a few pictures of this backyard for you.....Remember when I wrote about Pigeonniers?   Basically "birdhouses" :)

I mean really?  Two!

So cute I want to live in one....

And....another week comes to a close.  Hopefully you can all find time to relax this weekend.....

You are so fun to read! I love your spunk. On another note...feet on cabinetry - lovely but I worry about trying to clean around and behind all those feet! Am I crazy? The crumbs, the dog hair....:(

Decisions by committee are never my fave. You folks made some grand choices. Thanks for taking us along on the journey. So much fun to see the rich elements going into this 'manor' home.

Would you please share the stain color for the white oak in the basement? I've been trying to achieve that color for my floors without luck! Thanks!
