HAPPY NEW YEAR!

So what happened....where have I been since last Wednesday?  One word....sick.

Oh yeah...I have been so cocky hearing everyone complain about their colds and flu..... thinking that I was untouchable.  Going around bragging about how I haven't been sick in 2-3 years and then running smack dab into a cold like a brick wall.

Oh boy....who gets sick on vacation?  I want a do-over....she said in a winey voice.....

Everyone keeps talking about turning the corner on day 7-8 so I am praying that my corner will be tomorrow.

This has been my landscape for a week.

I want a cure for the cold.  For pete's sake....we can have cyber attacks....shut down Xbox but we can't cure the freaking cold?  Who wants to be a millionaire...or be on the cover of Time Magazine.

Crikey....get to it.

I have had time to catch up on this show....

Good Lord.....Anson Mount is HOT.

I keep going into my hoarding room I cleaned out just to check and make sure it is still all good....It makes me happy that it wasn't a dream:)

I guess it will be all about organizing in January....

You guys get busy....

Hope you start feeling better soon!! Being sick during the Holidays and at the beach is no fun!! I agree, you need a do-over. Yes, starting Monday it will be time to dive into the new year and get things tip-top shape, or at least attempt to do so. Feel better sweet friend,

Feel better soon! This plague went through our house after Thanksgiving, so I feel your pain! I don't usually get sick either, but this thing knocked me down. You should be turning a corner, but it was two weeks before I felt "normal" and got my strength back. Rest seems to be key!

10 days...
I declared Dayquil and Nyquil my signature shots (cocktails) for Holiday 2014!
Totally collapsed and spent 12 hours in bed on 12/26! Woke up on the 27th cured!
It felt like a miracle!
Seasons Blessings!
Happy New Year!
Thank you for your humor and inspiration!
Wishing you a miracle recovery like mine!

Feel better soon Sherry! The flu went through our house starting with J., in November. Shame on us, we blamed everyone from fluish people in doctor's waiting rooms to a group of beautiful 4th graders we visited two days before Thanksgiving! We had our shots in October, to no avail. Finally, Monday, after two weeks I turned the corner. It is a really bad strain of flu.
With all that being said...here's to better days!! Happy New Year!

Same story here my friend, except mine was right when I finished my last design job of the year and was ready to celebrate Christmas. It was the pits! Had been forever since I'd been sick! Hope you feel better soon. Happy New Year, friend! M.

Well that totally sucks. But look on the bright side...with your track record this means you have 2-3 years before you get sick again. Happy New Year! Best, Beth C.

You poor thing! I hate being sick over the holidays. Hope you get better soon. Did you get the flu shot? I did and so far it has kept me well, but there's no guarantee! You're so right about there needing to be a cure for the common cold. We can fly a spaceship to another planet and build a space station but no cure for the cold. Get well soon!

So sorry you're under the weather, Sherry. That really stinks. If I'm not over stepping my boundaries here, I'd like to share my mighty immune booster with you. I keep a bottle of oregano oil (purchased at WholeFoods or the like). This natural and very old remedy has worked brilliantly. As soon as I feel something coming on, I put 1/2 a dropper full in a spoon with a little honey (to soften the bite of the oregano oil) and take it twice a day. It will far lessen the duration and degree of illness from the bug. It truly works. If I'm flying, I always take it a couple days in advance to build up my immune system from all the recirculated air on the plane. Hope you are on the mend! Happy New Year to you!!

I truly despise colds...especially when I still need to function. However, I remember loving being sick in bed as a child as I would get full attention...
