CHRISTMAS DECORATING PART 2

I am sure you have been waiting with anticipation for the rest of my Christmas decor....thinking oh boy maybe she got crafty this year....

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

Gave myself a good laugh there:)

I did do some holiday baking....How great is a  recipe that doesn't dirty any pans!

You can find it on my food pinterest board.

Of course I ate quite a few and again....if I don't stop then the size of my  butt will soon become a "tourist attraction".

OK....Holiday decorating.

I still love my new DR which I got a makeover during the spring ORC.  My swan painting which was gifted to me from Dawne Raulet [you can find her work at Huff Harrington] is one of my favorite things along with my Schumacher Pyne Hollyhock curtains which my friend Sudi made for me.

I am blessed with the kindness they showed me!

I filled my dough bowl with greenery, coral, some ornaments and candles.

I wish I could say I glittered up those pinecones but nope...bought them that way!

Some pretty magnolia goes a long way to help warm up an area....

A few touches in my bedroom....

My favorite Wrist Soriee bracelet that I wear everyday!
I have actually done a little more since I took these...layered it a bit.  Just like anything....it's never done right?

Scott's is this weekend....are you going?

I also want to say thanks for reading DI because if I don't say it enough I am humbled by all of you and I appreciate those who take time out of their busy schedules to comment:)  Hope you are having a wonderful holiday season!

That first photo might be one of the most perfect things I've seen. Love it all. I want to hang some stuff in my lantern now--only it's an open bottom and hangs over the stove. Pine needles in the spaghetti noodles!

I agree with Emily. The dining room is spectacular! I love the greens here and there in your beautiful home, Sherry, so pretty and festive in their simplicity!

Well, Miss Sherry you wrote your post like it was an apology for not decorating that much and let me tell you, it is PERFECTION!!! I pinned away. Love the simplicity and you always add just the right touches in just the right spots. You nailed it!!!

I love it all! So, so pretty...I do love that dining room of yours. The photos are fab too. But you know what I loved most of all? That swan painting! Thanks for sharing the source....I'm kind of obsessed with all those animals! But I think the swan is just ideal.

sooo pretty. I just realized that we bought two of your lanterns for over my sister's island (in ORB)… so love your taste. Merry Christmas!

I am in love with the sparkle combined with pure white, texture and the nature elements. It's beautiful: twinkly and magic but serene. I am trying to do something similar but I have too darn many wood tones going on in my house. No time right now, but in January I am resolved to start painting some of my furniture! This morning I am going to console myself over this sadness by walking down to the creek and picking up some lichen and moss covered tree branches for Christmas decorating...our recent California rainstorms should have brought a bunch of them down :)

I think your Christmas decorations are perfection. I love the simple touches & greenery. It adds just enough. As usual, whatever you do is lovely. Hope you & yours have a very Merry Christmas! (I too LOVE your dining room. I am dying to do some planked walls somewhere in my home & I adore your lantern)

Judas priest, this is all so dang gorgeous. That first image slays me - the swan is perfection in that perfect dining room.

Now I want to torch every colorful thing in my house, which, incidentally happens to be everything. When will you teach me your tonal ways?

Devotedly yours - little grasshopper

I glittered about 80 candle holders and pinecones for my wedding. I think the glitter is forever embedded into my skin! So trust me, you made the right move by buying them! I love your home, and the dining room is definitely my favorite. Beautiful design and decor!
