BEFORE AND AFTER PART 2

Burrrr…..I feel bad complaining because after all I live in Atlanta not Buffalo and these are unusual weather times.  But cold is cold dammit.

It's hard getting in the car with 4 layers on….scarf….hat….gloves a purse and trying to buckle up then take off one glove to operate cell phone…..AND then try to get out after dropping 1 glove that was in my lap on the ground in the parking lot…getting tangled up in the scarf along with ripping the iPhone charger out and forgetting to turn off the car.

Give me summer please.

I have said this before but sometimes while working on a project  I become immune to it.  I see the work it took to put it together…..but maybe not the finished product.  It's only after posting the final images and hearing from all of you that I think "Oh goodie….I did good".

Thanks for the love :)

Here are the final shots.

Before
This is a keeping area off the kitchen.  Not big enough for a sofa or anything but perfect for 2 Lee Industries chair 1/2's.

After

The Dash and Albert indoor/outdoor rug will hold up nicely along with the Sunbrella fabric on the chairs!
Sherry hart Designs photography

I took this one before styling….so you could see how comfy these look…big enough to curl up in front of the fire and doze off:)

Before of dining area

After
I used the same rug here also.  We decided to just paint the wood chairs to be cost effective and I added 2 Ikea slipcovered parsons at each end.

Cute little piece of art from Scott's.

Before of the foyer
After the Thibaut wallpaper and changing out the light fixture.

After
More vintage nautical art…

It was quite a search for the few items in the foyer.  I had to find a really narrow table to fit on the side wall.  Since the one I found was painted then I felt like the mirror and planter should be neutral.

Many of you asked about the paint color [which was already there] and I think it is Sherwin Williams Comfort Gray 6205.

I have to tell you how much fun it was working on this project.  Every time I asked her about something she said "whatever you think"…..gotta love that right?  It made shopping for her so easy!

So there you have it…..guess I better get my butt in gear so I have some good things to post about in 2014!

Busy week with the Mart and Scott's.

Sheriky freaky deaky.

Sherry - you always do good. It all looks great and I'm loving how you transformed the foyer.

Too funny w/the cold, the glove, the phone, etc. My son is in Ottawa Ca and he called me last night and told me 3 different times it's booger freezing cold (gross, sorry). I had to keep telling him I believed him - I grew up near Syracuse. You're right - cold is cold.

It's all gorgeous, Sherry. I think you may have solved my hearth room dilemma. After 10 years we decided to have a TV in there. Well...the chairs are mismatched and a sofa is too large and I didn't know what to do until I saw your solution. I am liking those chair 1/2s. I am going to delve into this idea, I do believe. Thank you!

So comfy and easy to live in, just the right the "Sherry touch" to enliven these spaces. Go girl! And I am freezing my patootie off here in Wisco with sub zero temps, not to mention wind chills , so no whining from you, K?!!!!

You should be crowned the neutrals queen. Nobody mixes em like you baby! And I also hate the cold and all the layers. Don't even get me started on static.

You are so good at getting the right amount of painted surfaces vs. wood, the right amount of white vs. tints, the right amount of pattern vs. plain, the right amount of glass/shiny/hard vs. soft/baskets/fabrics/throws, etc. The elements and the proportions of those elements that you use are just so satisfying. Gosh, I just love your rooms so much. So lovely.

where did that table in the foyer come from? I love it and would love something like that in my house! And what a wonderful idea for that hearth room!

It's all beautiful. We moved into a "new to us" house 2 years ago and we vowed that after the deep chocolates and rich saturated colors of our old house, we are going to keep it neutral. The walls the furniture light and airy and so on. I love all the new things you added to the space. I would even love to have the old furniture and light fixtures to lighten up my house. They didn't work for your client but they would work great for me! HA!

Such beautiful wallpaper! I have also had difficulty finding a smaller hall table. Yours would work in my space! Any chance I could find it in the St. Louis area?

Looks fabulous!!! Where in the world did you find what looks like a SQUARE rug for the foyer??? Where, where, where, where did you find it? I have been looking for something like that for 6 months!
Thanks!

That keeping room really rocks. I want to do that to my dining room once the kitchen is done. Also love the vintage nautical art and turquoise bottles. Super photographs too.

Love love love love. Where did you get that perfectly gray, small table? I see you use Lee Industries for most of your upholstery. How would an average non-designer type person purchase from Lee? Love love love. Love. Everything.

WHEW! Gorgeous! And huh, Comfort Grey, is that right? It really reads a beautiful light blue in a few of those first photos. And those chairs look so incredibly comfortable - and amazing how the scale of those chairs increased dramatically. That space handles it really well. Rock on Sherry Hart!

This post has completely inspired me! I have been struggling with my new house (70's ranch) paint color in the "formal living room. Bought Comfort Gray this morning and LOVE it! Just ordered this same rug in your post also! Thank you!!! I have tried Revere Pewter, Agreeable Gray, and Palladian blue. LOVE Comfort Gray! Painting the foyer Sea Salt (one shade lighter than CG)!

HI Sherry-
