UPDATES ON A PROJECT

First of all.... big thanks for the tips on my dogs disorder.  It seems to be structural rather than functional.  Really?  After 2 surgeries and enough money to buy a new car....they finally decided that?

We now have meds to help and hopefully with this proactive schedule we can prevent further trips to the ER.

Preparing for a mini install this week had me shopping up a storm.  My guest room looks like a retail store.  If you read my last post about looking for a small table I bought one that I think will work and it was the best deal.....which is a win...win for me.  I am all about the deal:)

Here are a few images...

The bookshelves are finished.

The furniture and rug were delivered.

Pillow fabrics were also ordered.....

And made.

I added to my collection of vintage ship art.

Wallpaper was put up.

The curtains won't be installed until the first week of October but hopefully I will have a few pretty shots for you after Wednesday!

Had a great time at Scott's on Friday...so hang tight while I get those images sorted through.

In other news my car broke down the other day.  I was driving not far from my home and I happened to notice that the battery warning light came on. Hmmmmm.....wonder why that is on?

I kind of cocked my head in amusement but did not feel threatened.  I stayed the course continuing towards my destination.  I am nothing if not determined.

About a mile later I looked down to see if the light had disappeared and boom......the whole panel shut down.  But the car was still driving.....must be a fuse I thought.  BECAUSE THE CAR IS STILL DRIVING RIGHT?

Big fat wrong.  Cause the car stopped driving almost before I could finish that thought.

And there I was.....the person you look at and feel sorry for as you drive along singing loudly to "oops I did it again....yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah....I think I did it again" thinking how glad you are that YOU are not that person.

I won't bore you with sitting in a hot car....people honking at me....waiting for the tow truck....calling my husband but he HAD HIS PHONE TURNED OFF.......yada...yada...yada.

On a Saturday when you have a million things to do.

Don't you hate it when that happens?

Life.

Have yourself a great week.

Thanks for the perfect pillow fix to start my week! Can't wait for this reveal! Yes, the only thing worse than a broken car is a husband with his phone off...grrrr!

Can't wait to see the reveal! So sorry about your car problems. Been there. Done that. Got the $1000 bill to prove it. It happened to me at the Haven conference. Only one person, a female no less, was rude and pulled right up to my bumper with that WTH look on her face! I may or may not have thought some profanity about her!

Glad they figured out what was wrong with your poor pup (although I am sure you wish they had prior to all those surgeries). Love the color scheme for the install. Gorgeous. And yes, I can sympathize with the car thing...fortunately, mine did while HUBBY was driving and he made it home. The car however has been in the shop for 2 weeks now. We knew this was coming, 10+ years old & 135,000=momma FINALLY got a new car! Deciding what to do with the old one. Oh, and what is it with husbands insisting on keeping their phones off???!!!!! Biggest pet peeve.

Oh my gosh, Sherry...you poor thing! That must have been pretty scary breaking down in the middle of the road. I had to laugh about your husbands phone being turned off. My husband and I just had a "conversation" about that last week. His volume is always turned off. Who does that? I can never reach him!

Your install is looking great. Beautiful wall color and fabrics!

Have a good day! Lauren

I just love everything about you and your blog. We may have been separated at birth. Unfortunately for me you got all the design talent. And the sense of humor. But we both got the 'deal' gene, for sure. Thanks for allowing us along on your ride. Glad the pup is better and the fact that you haven't been on the news for killing your husband is commendable. Telephone off??? Definite grounds for murder.
your long lost sister,
Barb
