SCOTT'S APRIL

I hope you guy's enjoyed the preview of the Atlanta Decorators Show House and made plans to go [if you are local].  There is so much inspiration and I have more images coming.

Remember I told you that last weekend was spent traveling back and forth to the vet.....  Well it turns out they had to remove my dogs spleen.  Huh?

Yeah...just another gazillion dollar operation.  The bionic dog....#icantgetahead

No spring shoes.

Oh poor me....blah....blah....blah

How about we move on to Scott's.  I think cruising flea markets when it's a pretty day is intoxicating.  I saw so much good stuff [because that is what we need right?].

How about my fav...
 Yep...that would be pillows.

Colors.

Vintage

 Navy cheetah.

Yummy fabrics.

I know that this fabric retails for 100.00@yd.  You could pick it up at Scott's for 25.00@yd.

Notice everyone of these fabrics are my favorite..... neutrals.

I just can quit them.....

Bad for fabric hoarders.....

Most hoarders I know....love chairs.  My theory on this is because you can fit a chair in your car.....not so much a sofa.  Right?

These are screaming for a makeover.

 Oh boy.  Old leather.

These already got a groovy new look.

How many chairs is too many?
Don't ask me.

How about some painted furniture....

Perfect for nightstands....

I died over this table....

The marble on top and the price.....practically free for something this pretty.

Gotta throw in some of my favorite color:)

Looks mighty fine.

Sick with prettiness.

More nightstand goodness.

The chest AND the old bracket.

Sofa cruiser.....

Oh baby.....

Swanky....

What is better than a chippy old garden bench with a concrete planter on it?

Another sofa cruiser....

Nice vanity.

Come home with me.....

Love this bed.

Could be cool in an office or library right?

More good stuff...
Have you ever wondered why we like old stuff so much?

You could use these to scream at your kids.

I could buy every old sign I see.

Pretty damn awesome rugs.

This one would go with all of those fabrics!

Great for accessorizing.

Trending....

Me likey.

I think it is awesome when they set up their booth like a room...

These are swell...

Cheap brass.....cause brass at Goodwill is expensive now!

Get your reclaimed wood on....

Little beauties...

So loving these colors together.

And.....we are done.  Of course I took gobs of  pictures but I tried to edit down to the best.

If you haven't been to Scott's put it on your bucket list.  Of course one day will not do it.

You need at least three.  For real.

Shaforika is a freaka....

Oh, I need to get back to Scott's! It's been way too long. It's truly such fun and a treasure hunter's paradise. That burl and chrome table. I die. And that zebra/chrome bench reminds me of my recent estate sale finds. Until I can get back, I'll just live through your updates. Sigh.

Oh, and I'm so sorry about your dog and his surgery. My dearly departed golden had the same surgery years ago. So stressful (and expensive). Hope he continues to heal!

how it ignites the imagination, yes? i think i like old things because they give my space a unique story that cannot be authored by ikea. i like thinking about when i found it and context. not there's anything at all wrong with stocking up at ikea, but you need objects that say I'VE BEEN AROUND THE BLOCK AND HAVE SEEN SOME INCREDIBLE CRAZY SHIT. right?
:)

I kept worrying about the dog when I was hearing little updates here and there. I sure hope he's alright! poor thing. What in the world would be wrong for a spleen to have to be removed, i wonder? I hope hes on the mend. Maybe you could at least get some new (cheap) espadrilles at target for spring? $19.99! :)

Holy beautiful, Batman! I want it all! And I completely get your chair obsession - I have too many myself, and I am always picking up new ones!

Yes, yes, pillows from our Pillow Queen. You found some really good ones!!!
And you are right! Chairs fit into cars!
Found an awesome shop! David D'Ambrosio's Redefined Home Boutique. David was there when we stopped in! Great guy to talk to! His condo is one Gem, featured in this months AH&L.

What a beautiful store, how fun it must have been to go on a shopping spree there. Looks like you could spend all day there.

Huh...you know you are getting older when you see a chair ---in a flea market post--- you owned about 25 years ago! Thanks for the walk down memory lane....

Hey 'Shaforika" ~ Is Scott's an indoor store for decorator's? Can anyone go there? Is it open all the time or special days/hours? If I'm ever in Atlanta, I'd love to check it out! Thanks ;)

Wowza…quite the finds this month. I would not be able to go there if I lived in Atlanta. I'd be bringing things home to live in my garage with all my other crazy furniture finds and I'd be in the doghouse!

How in the world can you go somewhere like Scott's every month with all of that awesome stuff and not have ten storage units full of loot?!! While I would so love to go one day, it's probably good that we don't have anything so awesome - I don't have the self control it would require...

Hi girlie,

I have told you before and I will tell you again - JEALOUS I am! Yes, I will go one of these days and follow in your footsteps (and you will get to help me load the truck - after a fab lunch/dinner - my treat)(:

Hugs to you. Good to be back here.

Mon

P.S That gray "velvet?" pillow in the first pic has my name on it.
