ENOUGH DELAY....THE REST OF THE BEFORE AND AFTER

I know I dragged this one out for way too long......but hey I learned how to do this from you guys.  In the beginning I would put it all in one post....not even thinking hey......might want to slow down buckwheat.

I am a quick learner......gotta give me that:)

But before I get started......I had a hell of a weekend.  Spent Friday from 4-10 at the vet and the after hours emergency clinic.  My male sheepdog has a motility problem.....food goes in and then can't find it's way out.  His stomach blows up like there is a watermelon in it,  then he is so uncomfortable that he starts retching.  It's awful.

Anyway.....they have to go in and let all the gas out.  So all is well right.....no.... it happened again late Sat night so I took off again to a place we have in Atlanta called Georgia Veterinary Specialist.  It never closes....that was at midnight.  They admitted him and I got home at 2:30 AM....I just hope they can figure it out.

I am missing that crazy boy :(

Let's just dive right into the before and afters....

Hi there leather sofa....I think you need the "Sherry" treatment...."what is that" you ask....why how about some pillows!  This is that deep RH one that is maybe an inch short of a twin bed.

So I obliged and filled it up with some favorites.
Texture....color and different shapes.  They kicked those other pillows to the curb!

Before

After....

Before

After....I am so in love with this ottoman from Lee Industries.  It is very light and has wheels so you can push it out of the way easily.  And....rounded padded corners for a small child.  That West Elm tray is also a workhorse.  You just can't beat texture right?

I almost couldn't part with this little vintage brass tray topped with  old leather books on it....

Before....

I decided to replace the armoire with this piece they already had...

After....with the addition of the 2 painted chairs that can be brought in for extra seating.

I set up a little bar...

I love that this side of the room has some color now....

A few more shots....

They had the end tables....

I really tried to use the red sparingly.....because I did not want the room to get busy.  Plus....I still want to get the stair railing painted black....and rehang the gallery wall going up the stairs.

Scott's was off the charts on Friday.....It was a gorgeous day and I spent most of my time outside in the south building just digging in the junk.

Saturday my sister helped me  clean out my garage and basement.  Y'all when I tell you it was a hot mess....you have got to believe me.  It took a solid 6 hours nonstop.  I am sad to say I have enough furniture for a small apartment.  Something has got to change.

I have had this vintage 1920's wicker furniture [5 pieces] in my garage for 15 years....hoping that one day I would have a screened porch.  I paid 75.00 for it all.  Yes.  That is true.
Can't part with it...:(

And Sunday we spray painted 6 chairs I had for my nephew to use in his DR.

I think everyone in my family have used these at one time or another...

This is what my feet looked like after I took my shoes off.
Hope I can get this off in the shower.....

Oh Monday....why you gotta be so harsh...

Hi. Just read both posts. This came out great. Thanks for what you said about doing things in your client's taste, and working with what they have etc etc. Magazines are rarely what homes, rooms, etc actually look like on a daily basis. It's great seeing real spaces go from nice to spectacular like this :) Love the change of the chairs and the amoire. And the upholstered chairs, too. YUM.

You did a great job, Sherry, on the "After" not on your painted feet. The ottoman is fabulous and I need some West Elm trays. I hope your dog is doing well and comes home soon.
