INSPIRATION SHOWHOUSE

OK....before I get to the reason for this post I have a tiny little rant.

I am working on a bedroom with a smallish budget.

AND of course I want it to look great.....duh.

I had a thought that I would go to a local mall maybe about 25 minutes away where there is a JC Penny, Sears, and Kohls.  Even though we are doing custom pillows.....I am going to save money but doing ready made bedding [coverlet, duvet, and bedskirt].

I have seen all these great commercials about how JCP has stepped up their game.  Well I am here to proclaim that their "game" must have been worse than poop cause to me it was at poop level.

All three stores were a complete bust and worse than that ....the prices were so much higher than what you can find at Target.

I looked at the Kardashian Collection [Sears I think].

Holy mother of shiny polyester.  The kind that melts.

Should I go on......you could use the comforter as a slip and slide.

And you would not need water.

Waste of time and lesson learned.  White cotton everything guys.

Target....you rock.

I told you guys about participating in the Showhouse.  After reading all of the sweet comments I was walking around like Muhammad Ali shouting "I am the greatest".....

Nah...but you sure can make a gal feel good.

You saw the black and white drawings....and now you will see how Joan transformed those into our vision for the room.

Just to review.....
Before

After
Whoa huh!

Before

After

Holy fart.
Yeah....I know.  Is she awesome or what?

Fabrics.....

Presentation.

I can only pray to the Design God's that Lori and I can pull this off.

Went to look at some gorgeous wood floors that Castle Painting and Renovation might donate.  Remember they are the wonderful peeps that provided the painting for my shelter room.  Dang it..... people can be so nice.

That's it for now.....but we will keep you posted.

Off to Scott's today!

Rock and Roll Weekend.......Shaboobalishious

That is going to be one beautiful room - wish I could do such lovely renderings! And thanks for the heads up on JCP, Sears, etc. Target is a rockstar in my book. I've even bought several clothing items at Tarjay lately that I love.

WOW. I wish I could render like that.

Why don't you run some copies up (or make note cards) and sell them to benefit the show house?

Happy weekend, Gorgeous!

Love the drawings! Target is the best. The rest are a waste of time. Yep.

Those drawings have to be framed! Yes, I heard too the JCP stepped up their game. Such a drag to hear NOT. Home Goods usually has white comforters and last year's R. Lauren. And thank goodness for Target.
