FABRICS.....VETERINARIANS.....THRIFTING....DIY

Oh yeah...there is a title for you!!!!

Let's start with pretty first.

Remember that Manuel Canovas fabric that I was sleeping with loving.....well I was just playing around and low and behold.....she could be mighty pretty with some "party friends"....

And then.....holy thrifting.....look what I ran across for $35.00!

Yeah....I know.  Shut up.

I had to buy it right?

Now what?

OK...on to the update of my Patches.  UGA Vet School of Medicine today.  I felt like I was in an episode of "House".  A team of doctors, teachers, residents, and students.

Lord if they can't figure it out then it can not be done.  No definitive diagnosis yet...still could be a rare cancer, or a fungus.  BUT...they are going to read the results of all of the test I already had done like "looking for a loophole in a prenup"!

AND.  Then test some more.

Yeah.  Take that hula hoop.

Easter....12 hours before and my friend decides to have a brunch.  Now I don't know about you but my house would not be clean enough for an "impromptu" party.

She asked me to bring a fruit salad and that threw me into a panic.  I need a little more direction.  I sent her some pictures of flowers at Trader Joe's and said....."I can do flowers".

I meant INSTEAD of fruit salad.

Whoops.

She asked me what kind of fruit I got and I just looked at her and cocked my head.

I guess she didn't understand.

$12.00 for flowers....greenery from her yard.  Seed packets lying around.  Easter=seeds????  It's a stretch.

Mason jars and twine on hand.

Oh yeah....we had a good time snickering over $12.00 worth of flowers and a 1000.00 worth of plates, napkins,  pewter chargers, silverware, antique linen tablecloth......

Oh...... she had the fruit all along.

Now on to DIY.

I saw this at Anthropologie.

Hold on.....wait for it....

Please ignore my sad looking planter.  I'll get to it before fall.
Scouted the fig tree at Home Depot.  One small metal trashcan.
One can of spray paint.

Don't cha think????  For my screened porch project

The last thing is this.

Is it me????  So dang cute.....

Ok...random subjects.  For people with ADD.  That would be "moi".

Tomorrow I am going up to see how Angela's project is coming along.  We are going to try and drill down on the fabrics.  Like THAT can be done.

How many times did I say "flowers" in this post????

Too many.

Scott's this week.

Sha.....all over the place :)

This is my kind of post. I honestly can't concentrate on a mile long post about using ottomans for cocktail tables-blah!
Pier 1--super cute. Canovas' friends--most lovely. Plant DIY--yes.Sick doggie--:(

Sure hope you can find out what's wrong with your sweet doggie. That would keep me up at night!! I've heard good things about UGA with animals though. Hold on to your wallet if you can too. Ha! You are so funny about the brunch thing. Glad it all worked out in the end.

Ugh about the pup - what a roller coaster ride. I saw the same little stool at Pier One - SOOOO cute! I would have bought it if I could have justified one more thing (I am overflowing into the garage as it is, haha). What would we do without spray paint?

I'm stressed about your sweet dog. :-( I'm so sorry for the frustration.

I'm scared if you're embarrassed of your planter in what appears to be your backyard. I've got empty pots with random weeds and two poinsettias on my FRONT PORCH. Yes, I'm serious.

You're giving some great ideas for the lining of my Mao jacket.

I hope they figure out what's going on with the dog. It's so tough knowing they're not feeling well.

You have just GOT to be kidding me! That find is incredible, I have those very plates, i have that exact can of spray paint for a chaise I found in my garage, and a stool just like that only not with potholder fabric, and I love pier 1. But I don't have a dog but would be ripping a new one for your vet if I lived in your town.

I am giving Patches a cyber hug, too adorable, hope you get some news soon.
LOVE the Pier 1 stool (made from Saris I think), I saw it at my local store just the other day and wondered where I could use it, did you buy it for the porch?

Scott's! You are just too much fun Sherry - your clients must absolutely love you. And another hug from me to your Patches. I love the fun that you're having with those fabrics too.

Oh I just want to love on your pup! Still praying you get the answers you need and that everything will be ok :) I'm loving everything in the rest of this post! Yes to all of it!

Sha all over the place, you are all over the place, and i enjoyed every minute of it, because my brain totally works like yours, and i followed it all, like no problem. God, why does your baby have to get some bizarre crazy fungus or cancer that takes a vet school and 8 billion dollars to figure out. What a sweet face...

Uggh, so sorry there's still nothing definitive about your pup. So frustrating. On a positive note, love the fabric, flowers and, of course, the fiddle leaf fig. Might have to hit up Home Depot today. The ones I find there are always squatty.

Hah! You make me laugh! :)
I was running around crazy over the Easter weekend, like I tend to do, and brought a strawberry & goat cheese salad to a meal, completely forgetting the goat cheese!! And we all know that goat cheese is really the part that would make that salad!! Oops.

Love that DIY idea, and you're so lucky to have found that tree at Home Depot. I've been checking at mine for months and finally gave in to having an interior landscaping business source one for me.
