FABRIC LOVE

First of all thanks for all of my porch love.  Y'all are sweet.

I wish I had a screened in porch so badly.......I even have antique wicker furniture that I bought in Florida 15 years ago sitting in my garage.

Waiting.

But we had to go and buy property in Florida at it's peak 7 years ago....so no porch for me :(

Dang it...when is the market going to go back up?  I guess that is the million dollar question these days.

Oh well...what are ya gonna do.

Thought I would share some pictures of new fabrics that I saw at Lewis and Sheron Fabrics on Wednesday.  I have been shopping there for over 20 years.  I loved it when they had the remnant room.....there was always some deals to be found.

I remember once when I was in the trim room.....and in walked Jane Fonda.  She was decorating her house.  That was back when we put trim on everything.....no lie.  We would trim up the toilet paper.....

Black and white first.
Why not?
Elephant cuteness....
Giraffe cuteness
yellow yellow bo bellow
Love a large print
Ikat still hot....
see?
Yellow meet brown
Yellow meet green
Green meet green....dang everybody is meetin and greetin.  Good Lord....that is corny.
I am hearing rumors that there was a lot of green at Highpoint.....
Floral is baaaaaaaack.
Kind of Designers Guildish......
POW...in yo face color.
Double POW.
Pinky boo
Blue gray...
Love the large damask.
A little Thom Filicia love
Greek key baby
I will always love a bird print.  Period.
More neutral for people who can not commit.  To color.
Blue and black stripes.  Gotta love it.
Ikat snuck in again.
Loving this one....
Loving the dots.

Now look if you want any of these...don't call me...call L&S!!!  Tell them that Sherika sent you.

I love going in....cutting the samples and going home to play like a kid with legos....

Make a plan....then say nah.....I can not be starting over.  For craps sake...when does it end.

You guys make Saturday last as long as you can.

Sheriky

That was fabric bliss! Loved the orange diamond peeking out of the pow color selection. Ashamed to admit that the neutral really was my Dave, ha!!!

Son of a biscuit! Just lost my comment trying to argue with OpenID about who I am!!! To be honest, they may be right at this point....

Anywho, trying to find a coordinate to work with the seafoam buffalo check in my MB redo. The Designer's Guild-ish one you shot may work. Do you think it's this? Exuberance

Thanks!
Ellen

P.S. I don't hate you because you're beautiful...I hate you because you can run over to L&S any time you damn well please! :-)

I love that floral that looks kind of watercolor-ish. I just found something similar for a project I'm working on. Hope I can talk the homeowner into it. Or else I'm going to have to redo a room in my house :)

Hope you're having a great weekend!

Sherry- I could spend hours in the fabric stores. There is one in Milwaukee (2 hrs from me) that is to die for....looks like a little store front and is jammed inside with a small back warehouse full of discounted fabrics...some of THE BEST that are ends of bolts, etc. Now I AM itching to make a trip there. I have so much fabric now though it isn't funny! xo Diana

Just there this week. Bought two yards for a client and five other fabrics for ME. You'll see a cute retro palm beach-ish one this week on my blog used as a tablecloth. Or runners, probably, because that's quicker to sew up. I ran into Jane Fonda at the movies at Phipps the other day. She had her grandkids and they were all having such a good time. No private screening room for her, I guess.

You crack me up!!! Poor me..........we live in beautiful Tulsa OK but sadly we do not any!!!! good fabric stores!! Moved here from Houston and having withdrawals from all the good fabric stores there. But nothing compared to your playground in Atlanta!!!

love it! That grey ikat fabric with the chartreuse is my baby boy's nursery fabric. It's made it's way into my living room too. I really love the black and white giraffes, could be perfect in a playroom or kids bathroom! I hear ya on the Florida house, we bought our house in Pawleys just in time to pay too much and we'll probably never be able to sell. Now that we live six hours away it's a bit less appealing to own a house at the beach.

I personally love the ikat there's something about its smeary boldness. We don't have a great fabric store around here so in order to play I have to drive to Boston almost two hours away...:( so I'm jealous of you.

Enjoy your Sunday!

I have been to L&S once, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. It's a good thing there is no such store near me or I would be broke (my house would be amazing tho)!

I wish there was a L&S near me - I'd probably be there once a week. I wish we could push a button to slow down the weekend, wouldn't that be great? There is a whole lot of pretty fabric!! Enjoy the rest of the weekend Sherika!

makes me think of one of many trips to the ABC Carpet and home outlet in the Bronx and seeing Diana Ross. You just don't think of divas like that at an outlet, even if it is ABC!
