Hello Friday!

Can you believe it...another week and now it is the weekend.  Booyah!!!

So let's get right down to business....just got another project, and another brown sectional.  My second one this year [sectional, not project!]

I did one this summer [leather] and I pretty much raided Pottery Barn for pillows.  We had to recover chairs and the ottoman, along with a new rug, so that did not leave much for custom pillows.

Here is the before, we kind of went with a little "Americana" theme...red, white, and blue to wake up all the brown!

The majority of the budget went to recover the 2 chairs and ottoman.  I think it was worth it though.  She has 4 kids so it HAS to be durable!
They turned out pretty good.

And after

Another view

Changed out the end table by the sofa, added a new bigger lamp....and one of the biggest changes was the seagrass rug.
Lot's of pillows on the sofa to soften it up a bit.

Here is the kitchen dining area....before
A sea of brown.....

Changed out the light fixture.

New cushion out of sunbrella fabric, new rug and more PB pillows....Thank God it was the end of the season and all the pillows were on sale!

So...not much money...a little accessorizing....NO new furniture [except for the small end table] and a much more cohesive look.

Now I am putting together some looks for the next sectional...it is not leather but a micro fiber...like ultra suede.

I'll show you the different plans next week.  I'm getting pretty good with brown :)

I was ADAC [design center] the other day and Schumacher has an awesome new wallpaper book out.  I snapped a few of my favs....
Can I tell you how glad I am that blue is back in a big way?????

I could so do a room with this...

Ahhhhh.....

Loving these patterns so much.

Can I get a high five that wallpaper is BACK?????

I am looking at this for another project I am working on.

This would be a pretty bedroom or LR huh????  I love that fabric so much it makes me sick.  For real.

OK my little brussel sprouts...you must rock this weekend for all it is worth....let the air out of it....toss it up.....kick it around!

Crack open the wine.....

I love the transformation!! Do you have the information for the seamstress you used to reupholster the furniture and make the seat cushions? I live in the Atlanta area and am looking for someone! Thanks for all the inspiration you provide!!

It looks great, Sherry! I love that you worked with what she had. Your small changes had big impact! And, I have 4 kids so I know the pillows not only accessorize the room, but are great for pillow fights, too. I'm sure your client's kids wouldn't dream of using them for that though :)

And, try not to get too excited, but I just nominated you for the Versatile Blogger award. You can check out the details on my blog. Enjoy your weekend!

Great post! The transformation is wonderful. I love that you used their existing furnishings and made them prettier. The pillows are lovely and all the different colors are fun.

Now about that Schumacher....woo hoo!!

Holy Moly girl, you woke that room right up! Amazing! What a difference the blue makes. I'm so in awe of how you can look at a room, and figure out just the right touches to make that big of a difference. Just knowing to get a bigger lamp, that's talent ! Wow...

Sherry, I love the transformation. The blue brings the brown leather to life. What fabric is the ottoman from? I also love the change in lighting. That Pottery Barn, you cant beat the price when it comes to pillows.

Ok I'm still giggling because I can't believe no one mentioned the potty chair yet. Nice transformation though.
I love the Schumacher Paisley. Trying to find a way to incorporate it in my house.

Great job...love how you tied in the brown with that ottoman fabric. I am with you, if I never see another brown leather couch OR sectional it will be too soon. And that dining room window seat looks great now.

I love the family's new Americana look, but I love that it's not too Americana - it's just the right amount and such a fresh new look for them. That rug and light fixture work wonders! And the preview of your new project looks amazing!!!! I'd take that room please!!

I can't even tell you how great the room looks now! So much fresher even with all that leather still in the room. The rug and chairs look fantastic and later they can switch up pillows again and have an entirely different look. As for my rockin weekend - I'm baking a coffee cake as I type this - does that count for rockin? :)

Sherry! I'm LOVING that last picture. I'm assuming that the gorgeous grey/blue fabric is also Schumacher, since the rest is? Can you share the name? Otherwise I'll be forced to Google, gorgeous grey and blue fabric, which could take a while... ;)
