Scott's and a little complaining

Yep...just a little.  Remember about a week ago or so I hurt my back?  Well dang if it isn't still killing me.  Apparently it has moved down to this little nerve called Sciatica and that suckers a bitch.  Shooting pain down the leg and nothing seems to help.  Here is the real problem...it hurts the most when I am sitting.  Do you know how many things involve sitting??????

A lot.  Reading blogs...writing post.....commenting on blogs.....sending sweet emails to people who have commented on your blog.  AND...then just a few things like driving...and that is when it hurts the MOST.  I have been doing all the stretches I read about on the internet [I am a doctor now]  and my husband keeps volunteering to massage it but you and I know where that leads :).  "No honey...it is not that bad".

Anyway...if I have not responded to  your sweet comments.... just hang in there with me please!

Fortunately for you it does not hurt that bad to walk.  So I managed to get to Scott's for a few hours on Thursday morning.

Of course I am starting will pillows.....
LOVE this pattern....
Think I will do all the blues first since that is MY favorite color.
Kind of wish I had gotten these...it is hard to think when you are in pain.
Hmmmm...these look good together.
Specialness.....
Um...hello....how cute?
Blue...Blue...Blue....love!
I had the "blues" after I saw so many I wanted and could not make a decision.....:)
OK...if you are tired of blue then you are in luck...here comes another colorway!
Green and blue!
Green and pink!
So fresh...
I am liking pink and blue....
What room can I start over in.....who am I kidding...what room can I please finish.....

Can you see why I can't decide????
The pink is killing me.....
But then again...orange is special too.
And yellow is giving orange and pink a strong run this summer....
OK...Sissy....they were here again this time.  Price went up $20.00!
This really caught my eye until I moved in a little closer to see the price!  Yep...it was about $3800.00.  The booth owner said that she could really do better on the price.  She would have to take a whole set of zeros off to help me!  She came down to a low price of $2900.00.  I did not want to laugh in her face....then she told me it was signed by somebody famous [that I learned about in high school art class I'm sure]...but it could have been signed by God himself, it would not have mattered.  Pretty though huh?
Oh yea...a set of this would be nice.
So pretty...love the color.
Yes sir......these little puppies were real nice.
As were these.  I really was not even asking prices cause I got the rug remember??????
$10.00...can you believe it???  Not really but if it was I might have gotten this.  Just trying to add some excitement to this post.
Love this little retro lamp.
2 please...on either side of a bed.  Miami...circa: 70's for sure.
OK...these were sold as you can see but this would have been a hard one to say no to IF the price was right.
Coffee table...I was actually loving this because I am in the market for a new one.  But I made a deal with myself that I needed to sell the one I had first:)  I hate when I make deals like that.
This was pretty special.  There were two.  What is it about lamps, chairs and pillows?????  Dang I could become a hoarder so fast.
One more thing...
Aren't these cool barstools????

Ok...I am trying to wrap this up as the pain is soaring down my leg.....

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend....said with sarcasm and a snarl.

I can see how people become addicted to pain pills.  I am trying to survive this on Ibuprofen and a little glass of wine.

I am just trying to survive.

I've had that sciatica pain before and it's no fun...in fact, I'm not sure it ever goes away! I had to finally go to the dr. and get some kind of medicine for inflammation like for arthritis. Don't think it's addicting and it sure helps! I take a lot of aleve and I'm thinking of going to the chiropractor cause I don't want to do physical therapy.

Hope you feel better soon...miss Scott's, want to go soon!

I'm sorry about your back pain Sherry. Hopefully those pretty pillows took your mind off of it for a while. Seriously, I would be out of cash from the pillows alone, especially the blue ones. Love the painting, but don't really get the price.

So sorry to hear about the sciatica - I know that is both painful and annoying as you said it can really hurt just when you sit. I love, love the x stools, the pillows and that tea set!

Sherry, years ago my husband had the same back pain and it ran down his leg. He did the stretches and heat and everything else, but nothing was going to help. He had to herniated discs and ended up with microscopic surgery. He was perfect after that surgery! Love all those pillows. We were out of town this weekend so no Scott's for me. How do you get to go on Thursday?

Hope the wine and ibuprofen help dull the back pain, hang in there. I want to go to Scott's....what amazing "stuff"! It's probably a good thing it's in another state, saves me lots of $$!

That sucks so bad Sherry, sorry. When you're in pain it seems like it will be there forever, but it won't. Just go easy, drink as much alcohol as you can... and you'll feel better soon, smile... Those were some great pillows...

Sciatica is so wretched. So, so sorry you are in pain. Wish I had a secret cure, but only time took care of mine. Pillows! Loved them all. I vote for the orange. Or maybe the pink and green. No, those blues you love are pretty terrific.... Maybe.... Roxanne

You poor thing! One of our friends had that problem and the only solution for her was acupuncture. I figure at that point it's worth trying anything!

Ugh, so sorry about that pain!!! I had that in one of my pregnancies, and it will definitely stop you in your tracks and make you scream. Here's hoping relief is in your very near future!

We buzzed through Scott's today the last two hours. Me and three kids! But all went well and I left with one new treasure. :)

Sorry about the pain. My husband had sciatica a couple of years ago and he got an injection that ended the pain. He swears by Dr. Grossman.

Ugh, I had a similar problem when I was pregnant w/ my third. . . I remember limping and screaming in pain alot. Lovely. Hope you feel better soon!

You made me choke a little when you said that green mirror was $10 :)

Massages lead to what???
$10.00 bamboo mirrors??
You are one funny lady , even with sciatica that is giving you a run for your money.
I always smile when I see that adorable Hable bead fabric:))) I love it in the pink color way .

Here's to hoping your pain goes away quickly because nothing sucks worse than being in pain.

Can't believe Sissy's chairs were still there. She needs to work out a deal with you and have them shipped or something. And that green mirror? My friend looked at that when we were there in March. Think it was $250, and I about died when you said $10! Thanks for the comic relief. Oh, and seeing those x benches hurt me a little.

Get some stronger meds and take care! And please do not respond to this. I know you got it.

Sherry, I had a little bout with sciatica during my 2nd pregnancy. The baby kept getting on that nerve and it was like a lightning bolt going down my leg. So sorry you're dealing with that. The husband has his troubles with it for a few months - literally took 6 weeks to recover and nothing helped but time... Hope your recover is faster!

I hope you feel better soon, and I chuckled out loud about the backrubs:):) I love that a bad back doesn't stop you from a trip to Scotts. I wanted to come so bad, but the family was oh so sick, priorities i guess:)

I am sorry for your pain. I had the same pain while I was pregnant. I layed on a frozen bag of veggies every night and it seemed to help dull the pain some. Hope this helps!

First things first -- I am SOOOOO sorry about your pain. That is absolutely miserable. I just cannot imagine. Second -- I *need* that blue china. Blue is my favorite color, too, and I'm loving all of those pillows as well. I want to make a Scott's date with you when you are feeling better!! xoxo!

Ah Man! I have the same thing. I love to sit indian style when I work and have "aggrivated" my sciatic nerve so many times. My worse time is laying down....the pain down the leg is a bear. You gotta ice that thing as much as possible (said my doctor). The nerve is inflamed and the ice helps alot to bring down the inflamation. Of course meds and wine help too. I always try to ice for 20 minutes every hour when mine is on the fritz.
Hope you get better!

My sciatic nerve acts up every now and again. My husband's a chiropractor and I swear by it along with some good stretches

So sorry about your back! You might try the chiropractor, it could work...

Love your post and your Scott's photos! My oldest was having a rough go of it with a stomach bug, so no Scott's for me this month.

I wish I lived near Scotts. I am sorry to hear about your back, the same thing happened to me and running fixed it. I started to run and within a couple of weeks the pain was gone and has never returned, that was ten years ago...good luck.
