WEDDING DETAILS.....

I am stuck sitting in my office while my cleaning people are here....so I thought I would share a few things with you!

Last weekend I was invited to a beautiful wedding and it was pretty amazing!  I have to say that my client did not leave out any details!

I was in a bit of a dither about what to wear and I posted a dress on Instagram that I had ordered from Zara.  It was a stretchy little number and I was definitely thinking that it would be OK but then at the last minute I pilled out a vintage Saks overcoat which was right below the knee....

It turned out to be perfect!

I mean it was only 35.00....which is quite the steal!

Then a friend of mine offered me her vintage Chanel clutch and some earrings!  Boy was I nervous...I asked her if they were insured but she said not to worry....what?  Of course I worried!  The whole night I was checking the back of the earrings to make sure they were secure!

I was going to wear the open toe sandals but my closed toe shoes were actually more comfy so I went with them!  I had some vintage clip on shoe bows that I thought would make them a little more stylish...

These are my shoes and I found these bows on Etsy....I also found some on Amazon so get yourself some:)

I also dug out this velvet bow from probably 20 years ago because I was on a roll.....

Here is a pretty picture of the back of the brides dress....so pretty!

And the cake...

She draped the whole room in this fabric....I wish I had taken more pictures!  The band was exceptional!

And there you have it!

Before the wedding I zhushed a few things at her house....

She had this black chest at the end of a hallway....and I had it custom stenciled.....with a new larger rug!  It was a game changer.

And...I did a little accessorizing in her daughters bedroom....

Nightstand before.....

And after!

Last thing was adding some fresh flowers which always make a space shine!

Alrighty then....cleaners are done so I am off to walk Cami....

FASHION

Well.....I guess I should travel the country just taking a room full of furniture and putting a room together!

Thanks for all the good feedback and I have answers to your questions also....ur welcome.

**The white sofas are Mitchell Gold.  I am not sure they make the same model as these were purchased many years ago!

**I arranged those cookies and really it only took me 5 minutes:)

**The finger pull hardware on the dry bar are called Edge Pulls.....you can find them here in many finishes.

**The rest of the kitchen cabinet Hardware are from Richelieu Hardware.

**The island pendants are from Circa Lighting and they are called the Goodman Pendant

**The floors are called Sellersburg Oak SBG38-507CH Cheyenne.  You can google....I found them.

And there you have it.

I finally got it together to do a fashion post.....basically it is more of a capsule wardrobe of sorts.  After 68 years I have figured out that if I stick to basics then I can mix and match them and just add a scarf or some cute shoes to make a completely new outfit!

I guess I'm a slow learner.....:)

Below is a great black and white look.  Seriously if you have 3 pairs of denim let them be black...white and a dark wash.  I mean that is almost all you need!

I have this black and white T shirt....it is very oversized which I think looks good with skinny jeans.  I just do a small french tuck in the front.  And can we say Sneakers?  For real I wear them all the time and there are so many cute ones out there!

Below....again a good pair of black jeans! A taupe sweater and cute scarf.  Throw on the black Converse sneakers and some big fake diamond studs......go girl!

Here are the dark wash jeans that look great with everything and are more slimming than the lighter version.  I like a more mid-rise jean than the ones that go all the way up.  They are just more comfy to me.

A pretty reasonable priced camel coat can elevate an outfit and will go with anything.  Grab the Converse white sneakers and that is all you need....I actually have the J Crew belt in both black and camel and wear them constantly !

A long sleeve T shirt is a must and I have this exact one in black and white from Target.  They are amazing.  A denim jacket goes with everything....all the basics but throw in those cute sneakers!

Take the white T shirt again and just add the camel sweater.  I have this J Crew Factory sweater in both camel and black and I wear them all the time.  You can usually find them for 50% off.

Beside a few pair of sneakers....the shoes below are all staples of a basic wardrobe.  I have those black booties and they are SO GOOD.  Comfy from the first day I put them on and they can elevate an outfit.  Always make sure if you wear with jeans to show a little bit of ankle.  I have similar mules and wore them all last spring and summer.  A pair of camel booties will also serve you well......

Suede Boots

A few more things to add to your wardrobe.....Everything but the linen shirt can be found at J Crew Factory but the linen shirt can be found here

I bet you can put together 30 different looks with these basics!

Alrighty then....off to my work out [it's lower body day and I know it's gonna hurt]  and then get my second vaccine.

Happy Tuesday

THINGS I AM LOVING AT ZARA

OK....this post has nothing to do with Christmas but I had to return something to the mall [2 things I ordered from J Crew] and I wandered into Zara.  It has been closed for renovation for a couple of months.

Zara is famous for big style but small prices!  When you can get a cute top for a little more than you would pay at Target then I am all in!

Let's discuss some of the things I saw.....

I tried on this stretchy top and loved it!  For 39.00 it was a steal....

I do love how this would elevate some skinny jeans....throw on some black heels and you're there!

I also tried on this one  and thought the same thing.

I would not wear it with baggy pants though.....skinny black pants would look so much better I think.  Again I think it was 39.00!

But how about this cutie?  It has a boho feel and I love when you can just throw on a white shirt and be done!

So this white shirt is perfect for me.  I am small on top so it would help balance things out if you know what I mean....wink wink!

Might not want to iron this puppy though....

This looks like something Coco Chanel designed!  I love the bow....although it might look better on somebody younger than me!

They only had this in small and I couldn't get it zipped [not sure what I was thinking to even attempt that!] but it was adorable!

I might have bought this headband if I had seen it!  How pretty right?

Call me crazy but I really liked this top.  Of course I would wear a cami underneath it....haha.

Pretty jeweled buttons.

I love a pretty top with jeans....in fact I wear denim practically every day....it is so easy to just figure out the top part of your outfit!

So listen I have noticed that Zara is made for small busted women....which is me.  And....sometime I am between sizes....depending on the fit.  But honestly y'all they really do have some cool stuff.

One thought....the store is so bright that I almost had to put on my sunglasses.  Like they needed to dim the lights for real.  I wonder if they did some study about that because frankly..... I hated it.

In other news I pulled into the bank drive through and they were doing construction so I was trying to miss a ladder and hit the curb.

All I heard was this loud hissing sound.....and I got that look of fear on my face as I hopped out and saw this.....Uh Huh.  Thankfully it was their fault and this sweet guy doing the construction changed the tire for me.

It could have been because I had just come from a Christmas lunch and I had on a mini skirt....hee haw.  Yeah #thisis67  Not going down without a fight.  Just saying.  [old Banana Republic jacket and scarf!]

Somebody asked me about my jeans on the last post.  They are AG and these are the fit

I went to a party last night with my neighbor and look at this spectacular charcuterie tray!  It was done by a local Atlanta company called CheeseMe.  Look them up on Instagram!

And I popped into my favorite Floral store called Pollen.

Everything. In. There.

Well everyone should be ready for Christmas by now!  I am trying to stay positive this season and my family and friends are checking on me daily to make sure I am OK.    I am.

Just know that you guys are definitely helping....every comment....every thought.....every suggestion.
