THE GREEN BASEMENT REVEAL

Happy Saturday guys!  We are having all kinds of crazy weather here in Atlanta....not like out in California but none the less I go from turning the AC on to turning on the heat:)

I have some reveal pictures today of the green basement that I installed on Tuesday!  I am loving how it turned out....so warm and cozy.  This is a lower level family room but it is right off the playroom so it's nice to have a spot for the grownups to hang while the kids are creating mayhem in the other room.....

On the last post I kind of gave you the basics.  It was painted and most of the furniture had been delivered.  On Tuesday Rose and I did all the styling and there was a big need for that kind of stuff with a long cabinet under the TV and a cabinet that we also ordered.

Let's get to it!

Incase you forgot the walls are SW Pewter Green and the cabinet is BM Duxbury Gray

There were so many books to buy and I am happy to say that most came from second hand stores....I think I used over 40 so that would have been pretty expensive if they were all new....

I wanted this cabinet to feel really edited and not cluttered.....

Below are pictures of the small bar area.  This was just empty unused space.  We added a beverage fridge and pull out trash can.  Great place for snacks and stuff on movie night!

Just in case you forgot....here is what we started with!

The after.....

Here are a few shots of the space and how we orientated all of the furniture....

I love the Lee Industries Sofa and velvet swivel chairs.....

The 2 small end tables are form our fav place Target!

So hard to get good shots down here....well because I am not a professional and I was pretty tired at the end of the day!

Behind the sofa as a very long wall and I am lucky that she already had this beautiful piece....

We really could not paint this wall below because it is at the bottom of the staircase and goes up to the 3rd floor....but I did not want to leave it bare.

I got a great piece of art from my friend Andrea Costa and a vintage rug to tie it all together and warm it up.  Perfect way to bring some green over there....

I am so happy with how it turned out and so is she.  Such a good client...I can't tell you how many times she said "I trust you".....
I love that:)

And here we are....finished with this one except we are waiting for the light fixture to go over the table.
First install in 2023.

I went to Scott's on Thursday...saw some great stuff as usual.  Hope you guys have a good weekend....

THIS AND THAT

You know what we haven't done in a while?  A 'this and that" post where I basically just dump some "instagram post and stories on the blog.  I realize that many of you aren't on Instagram but if you are and have already seen them...well then just shut this post down and go pluck your eyebrows or something.

Starting with Matthew Quinns book signing at Michael Ladisics home a week after I returned from Boulder.  I spent 2 days there re-styling everything and doing flowers....not sure how I got through that.

Book one is on the bottom of this stack and the new book is on top!  It's gorgeous and definitely worth every penny....you can order here

When I win the lottery.....I will hire him and then just be surprised.  #trust

Some styling shots....

This is a picture of the scullery...

And we added this Phillip Jeffries Wallpaper on the ceiling the day of the party.

Added these Lee Industries stools tucked under the table for extra seating.

I wore my sparkly skirt from Lafayette148 New York that I splurged on...

Remember I showed it on Instastories?

Wish I could afford the sweater:(

I was invited to a dinner sponsored by The Shade Store which was held at one of my favorite Atlanta restaurants Cape Dutch.

I wore the skirt again because people....it's price per wear right?

The fall ORC started.....and I am excited to follow along with all of the talented group....but especially my good friend Erika Ward!

I am also working on a new project for Ladisic Fine Homes.....this one is for sale people and it's gonna be epic!

Bedroom ceiling

Had a photoshoot with the talented Rustic White Interiors for a project that will be featured in Atlanta Home Magazine' winter issue....pretty excited about that:)

There is no shot he can't get!

I had dinner with some good friends and he took this book and highlighted all the pages that he thought would help me.  People have been extremely kind to me in every way.

And....a guest bedroom is getting this plan which I am extremely excited about!  The Schumacher wallpaper is getting installed today!

Can you believe this is a picture of my very first sheepie!  It was probably 1980!  It is the only one I have gotten as a puppy....all the others [4] I have rescued.  I really was a brunette....haha

And....this little 400,000 car.  Ferrari used Michael Ladisic's house to debut their new car.  I sat in it and felt like a bada**

I am excited to be included in this lineup.....

And last.....my friend Andrea Costa was diagnosed with Stage one breast cancer so we took her out and showed her some love.

So there you have it....moving forward and trying to stay busy.

Much love to all of you and Happy Friday!

ANOTHER PROJECT UPDATE

So I had this thing done to my face.

Dermaplaning.  I was a little apprehensive so I let my sister go first:)  She called me on the way home and said "you have got to do it" and I couldn't make an appointment fast enough....haha

It's where they take a little scalpel and scrape your face....taking off all the dead skin cells and little hairs.  Lordy my face is so smooth and shiny....I would definitely do it again.

I spent last week getting a client ready for a party which meant ordering a few things to finish up the LR and getting some art hung.  I also went over and did her flowers for the event!

Let's start with these chairs that I had refinished and recovered in this pretty Schumacher fabric.

I am a big believer in using what you have....these belonged to the homeowners grandmother.

So much better!  And then we threw a cute little pillow on it and she all but high fived me for making her look so pretty:)

#upcycle y'all.

This chair finally arrived!  The Copper chair from Charles Stewart covered in Schumacher's Chiang Mai Dragon.  I actually had this gorgeous fabric sent out to Nanotex to be treated!

More Schumacher fabric on this pillow....

When I saw this Gabby mirror at the mart I knew it would be the perfect thing for over the mantel.

And I found this bench at my fav consignment store here in Atlanta called Swoox and I had it recovered.  I love the lines of it!

Still working on collecting some art for this hallway gallery wall.

Hung this gorgeous commissioned piece from Andrea Costa.

Had some pillows made for the host and hostess chairs in the dining area off the kitchen.

And another new pillow....

A little accessorizing on the end table.

While I was at Gabby getting the other mirror I spotted this one which was PERFECT on this dark wall!

And last....this Carrie Penley got hung in the dining room....

Just little snippets as I need to get this house finished and photographed!

OK....wedding festivities started last night!  So excited for my niece:)

Sometimes it is hard for me to believe I have gone from Stewardess [20 years] ....to fitness instructor....to designer in my lifetime....and I am not ready to give up yet....haha.
