ONE ROOM CHALLENGE WEEK 3

I know y'all are saying "wow....only 3 weeks to go".

While I am saying it more like "AYFKM?  3 WEEKS TO GO????"

But here we are almost halfway through the ORC.

I think it's cool that there are so many different styles among this talented group.   I get pretty darn excited to check on all of the progress......I mean we have people doing big  renovating out there....that is some kind of pressure!

We left off with the decision of wrapping the room in 1 by 8 boards.  Many of you wanted to know how to do it.

Well....I don't know how..... but I know what I told them:)

I did not care if it was perfect.....I was going for a more casual look.

They took the trim off from around the windows and just used 1 by 4's.

Same with the floor trim....

You can see there are gaps which I think is part of the charm.....I did NOT want caulk in-between the boards

Here are a few images painted [BM White Dove] in an eggshell finish.

The doors were just painted here.

Here you can see how I wrapped it around the front into the LR.

I have since painted that old register.....

And....here we have the "big picture"....

So....am I happy with it?  If I could..... I would cover every wall in my house!  For realz.

I still have not sold my table yet.  One of the reasons I decided to replace it is because of the size and now I feel guilty cause I am about to have 2 DR tables.  Crikey.

Search Limestone DR tables on CL Atlanta if you are interested.  You can see a picture of it here

A little peek of what is coming.

That is a whole other story involving 3 other designers/bloggers.

Linda....do I get a prize for finally getting this post out before 8:00 AM:)

Here's a list of talent to keep you entertained today!

Get to it.

In other news I work in the yard planting for the first time in 10 years and 2 days later it gets down to 34 degrees.  Really?  I will be one mad old lady if it all dies.

I am OBSESSED with your room. We took off our little doors like that in our family room leading to the back hall and the front hall and now I want Matthew to paint them gray and put them back up. Today.

That is all.
