THIS AND THAT

Well it had to happen....the weekend came to an end.  It's back to work.

I think I mentioned on Friday that my 2 sisters and I put on a shower for my niece who is getting married in August.  We got there early Sat morning to set up [it started at noon] and it was like herding cats....we were all over the place.  Lucky for us my sister in law was there to reign us in and we were lighting candles at 11:45.

Indulge me for a family moment....:)

I went to the flower mart on Friday and put together 12 arrangements that afternoon....note to self....get more greenery.

The colors were blush tones....I did larger arrangements for the head table and some smaller ones for the 4 tops.

We served Aperol Spritz cocktails  and they were pretty good!

Did you know that you can't find pretty paper anywhere?  Nope....not anywhere.
So I got creative and for the menus....

I found a stock photo of flowers and then just did them myself.

I also found blush napkins [12 for 4.99!] and then Sat morning made these cards.....who am I?  Seriously.

I am sure there is a picture of me somewhere but I found this dress at Marshalls for 49.00 [I wanted to match the colors] and wore my trusty white lace sneakers.

I'm nothing if not concerned about comfort but with style...haha!

My sister had some posters made of them....

How cute are they....

In other news....on the design front I was working on some styling at a project....

Some before shots....

Added shelves and shiplap

Before.....

Adding just a few elements

This is the prettiest butlers pantry leading to the outdoor living and pool area.

This gorgeous window is opposite of the shelves.

On the cooking front.....don't get excited....I use the term cooking lightly.....here is a tidbit for you.

I have posted this before but I feel like you weren't paying attention.

#1.  Trader Joe's salmon.  Cast Iron pan.  No spray.  Season with some sea salt.....etc.

#2. Veggies.  Broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes and brussel sprouts.  Season with olive oil, sea salt, pepper and what ever your heart desires.

#3.  PUT IN COLD OVEN.....FISH ON TOP AND VEGGIES UNDERNEATH.  Set the temp to broil.

#4.  Set the timer for 20 min.  Do not open the oven.

#5.  Spread a little of this on the fish! [Trader Joes]

Yummy.

There you have been schooled.

I'll let you know when I start my cooking classes....hahahaha.

PROJECT UPDATE BEFORE AND AFTER

Y'all....I'm not real prepared today!  Yesterday was my photoshoot for the One Room Challenge and I spent all week getting it finished and styled.

My car is full of things needing to be taken back to HG's, Marshalls, and Pier One.  Tool kit, crap from my house that I could't find for the shot....yadda yadda yadda....

My house is a complete mess!

But....I do have a few things to share with you from my most recent project that I am working on with Ladisic Fine Homes.

First up is this stair runner we had installed.  It's a performance material and looks incredible!

It's from Prestige Mills Carpet

Here is the very small powder room before....

I love the brick wall...this space had some good character.

Right before you enter there is a little foyer....

So....

Started by painting the walls SW Urbane Bronze and changing out the chandelier to this swanky Circa Lighting one!

We also painted the brick the same color and took out the pedestal sink to have a custom vanity made.

We then wallpapered with my favorite Schumacher Pyne Hollyhock pattern and had the vanity installed.

She had this larger mirror which we hung!

And viola.....now we are looking for maybe a small rug....

So....big changes to a small space!

OK....I hate to run but it's Sat and this girl has way too much to get done.  I know y'all understand:)

See you Wednesday for the big reveal!

PROJECT UPDATE BEFORE AND AFTER

So while I am trying to get the One Room Challenge under control I've also had a client getting ready for a party Friday night.  Lucky for me the furniture arrived on Thursday....whew.

This was a huge renovation by Ladisic Fine Homes that was started back in January with an incredible outdoor area added.....you can read about that on this post

I'll give you a few more updates today....

The dining room has a whole new look....

Before
This room had great bones...check out the ceiling trim and I did love the pretty blue walls...

But she was ready for a new look and we went with this gorgeous wallpaper which is now discontinued so don't even ask me about it!

Those precious hummingbirds:)

Then we added this gorgeous Circa Lighting chandelier which has always been one of my favorites!

And a stunning 72" round table....

Tuesday the curtains were installed and it was an other game changer!

Then on Thursday these fabulous chairs from Charles Stewart showed up!

With some great Schumacher fabric on them...a little modern to mix with the traditional!

Rug shopping next!

Before in the family room...this was already a good room but not great for watching TV.

The Charles Stewart sectional came covered in a Kravet performance fabric. ....It looks gray but is actually more blue.

Good TV watching on this thing right?

This Woodbridge coffee table that I bought at Market a few weeks ago.

The TV was located in the bookcases that were painted a green color.

So we moved it above the mantel and also changed the shape of the bookcases....

Painted them a dark gray blue....Before

Then I accessorized....the fun part for me!

And added this Charles Stewart swivel chair....

Before

After

This beautiful chest got moved to another area....

I added these prints....and we will add a nice green plant in this corner...or something....haha.

Curtains are hung...

Some beautiful sheers just to add softness....
With some nice textural Kravet trim.

There is so much more...pillows and pretty stuff added....I love working on this project!

But it's Saturday and I am off to Sheepie Day in the Park.....a gathering of Atlanta area Old English Sheepdogs.  Cami is kind of standoffish with other dogs....a little socially inept [haha] but it's fun for me to stand in a sea of Sheepies!

Have a great weekend...and stay tuned for week 5 of the One Room Challenge on Wednesday.
