BEFORE AND AFTER POWDER ROOM AND FOYER

I'm still living off my 15 minutes of fame with my project featured in Southern Home Magazine.  I hope they aren't mad at me for posting all of these shots.....you still need to get the magazine to read the story right:)

I thought I would share a few more of the before and afters with you today....starting with the powder room......

Before of the powder room

This is quite the transformation!

Custom vanity, Circa Lighting, Design Galleria hardware, Kohler plumbing, Mirror Image Home mirror, and Lee Jofa wallpaper.

This is the way the vanity looked after it was installed and painted....yikes I started to panic.  This is not good and I might be fired.....need help fast.

I scoured the internet looking for the finish I wanted for the faux painter and came up with this one....

It gave it some much more depth.....Lord that was close.

I'm not sure I have done a bathroom makeover that I love more......

Foyer before.....

During

Before

After

We had the Saltillo floors stained dark**, Thibaut grasscloth wallpaper.

**I do not know how they did it!

Right after they were finished....

Rocky Mountain hardware.

Gorgeous new doors, rug, and Circa Lighting chandelier.

I adore this chandelier.....sometimes you just get it right and it was the perfect selection for this space!

There is still more to share....

I can't wait to show you this beautiful bedroom that I just finished on Saturday.....

I had 16 bookshelves to do.  That put my brain into overload for sure.

I'm sharing my new addiction.....sea salt and black pepper Skinny Pop.....

Of course it's only a reasonable snack if you don't eat the whole bag.

Don't get it.....you will be sorry.

PROJECT UPDATE

I posted a while back about a new Ladisic Fine Homes project I am working on and I have some updates for you today!

First of all I am glad you enjoyed the HGTV Dream Home pictures!  Brian did a great job.....I have never officially met him but he is dang funny. I am sure if we did meet he would look at me and say are you Sherry's Mom?  Ha Ha he probably has no idea I am old as dirt [especially in the design world]

OK....back to pretty things.  Let's start with the son's room [he is 4 years old]

The pinstripe will be curtains with the blue trim. The bed is gray and the geometric [Jonathan Adler for Kravet] will be pillows.

Navy wall and light fixture.

His bathroom vanity is painted SW Roycroft Pewter.

In the master bedroom we are using Bernhardt Interiors Cooper Wing Bed

And these Bernhardt Criteria nightstands

The curtains will be white with the Samuel and Son's trim.

The bed is upholstered in the light color with a bench out of the lower fabric.

The dark blue on the left is a chaise.....one of my favorite styles from Lee Industries

Here is a shot of the master bath using white quartz for the countertops and the Kohler Pinstripe fixtures.

Hi neighbor.  Why big windows with a tub..... just to cover it up with curtains?  I am constantly having to deal with this!

We painted the walls in the bedroom and bath SW Snowbound.  What a pretty white!

The hood was installed!

SW Roycroft Pewter on the island [BM White Dove on everything else] and quartzite countertops

The whole butlers pantry is also painted SW Roycroft Pewter and dang this Circa Lighting chandelier is pretty darn awesome!

Great Hudson Valley light fixture in the office!

The clubroom.....SW Urbane Bronze

Family room

The other day I met up with my friend Erica Ward at The Mart...we were both looking for some things for clients.

I was looking for rugs and found this beauty at Loloi from the Elixir Collection

It's not cheap but what a statement rug!

We also saw this strippable York wallpaper being hung....

Both of us stopped dead it was so pretty!

Erica has a great E-Book about how to address those 2 story windows [free to download] on her website so if you have been struggling hop over and take a look!

AND.....if you are hankering to hear me blab about decor....I had fun hanging out with the "Ballard girls" as we talked decorating, husbands and bookshelves [while we guzzled sipped Prosecco] on the "How To Decorate" podcast:)

16 days until Christmas....still no wreath up but I did haul a bunch of greenery home the other day from somebodies trash:)

Thinking some mantel decor is in my future.

Picked these bulbs up at the Kroger.

Whew.....exhausting:)

ONE ROOM CHALLENGE FINAL REVEAL FALL 2016

I know y'all have a lot to get to today with 20 reveals so I am going to keep it fairly short with details coming later!

I'm gonna try anyway:)

First of all....thanks to Linda from Calling It Home for including me.  I have been lucky to participate in almost all of the One Room Challenges and I am so grateful for her trust in my ability to put out a good room!  Sniff sniff.....emotional.

20 incredibly talented designers have worked tirelessly for your pleasure so hat's off to everyone.  And a serious shout out to my clients for your patience:)

As you know my bedroom, along with my whole house is white [including my floors!] but for some reason I got a wild hair and went dark.

And that is why they call me "crazy Sherika".....I will keep you guessing!

Before!

After.....Benjamin Moore Iron Mountain

As you know my Bernhardt bedside dresser didn't make it

BUT...... I painted this bad boy up and she is representing....ha ha.

The first thing I picked was the Karastan Rug so that set the tone for the room.
And I love the legs on the Lamps Plus benches!

The Annie Selke bedding is one of my fav elements of the room and adds an abundance of texture!

Cami said it's so comfy!

Here are my bird prints that I got from Scott's all framed up!

Before....

The Lee Industries chair that got recovered and my Schumacher pillow takes center stage!

The Stanley dresser that I purchased through Red Pen Procurement is gorgeous!

Before

This was where the armoire held my TV.....one of the good things about dark walls is the TV recedes!  Remember I showed you that one of the drawers drops down to hold the cable box.

After

I was afraid that the Arteriors floor Lamp from ATG stores was too big but I am getting used to it!

Before....

After...

You can also see how nicely the Metrie trim looks to frame out the ceiling!
I actually purchased this light from Mitchell Gold before my photo shoot for Atlanta Magazine and it's perfect!

Before....

After
The new Metrie backband trim frames out my pocket doors!

This gallery wall in between the closet and bath room was a last minute decision.  I actually thought the 4 birds would be here but after receiving the Minted Art [top 2 prints and the one on the floor]  it needed height and impact!

The AGT Stores Jamie Young lamp is perfect on this console that my friend Phil Kazmark made for me when the one I wanted was backordered!

Before....

The Thibaut textured wallpaper helped to warm up the bathroom and take the focus away from my travertine tile:)  I painted the trim and ceiling with the Williamsburg paint to get a cohesive  look!

The Bellacor lights give me twice the light I used to have!

Love the new Kohler Purist faucets!

The rug from AllModern

These great towels above and below from AllModern

And there you have it.  These pictures were taken by my good friend Tina Rowden and I am so appreciative:)

I will share my crappy pictures this weekend!  All the details and more shots!

Please take a moment to visit all the reveals today.....it will take your mind off the election results:)
