THIS AND THAT

Before we get started I need to address all the comments about big houses in neighborhoods with smaller houses.  Y'all....I get what you are saying but seriously that is NOT the biggest house in my neighborhood.  I would say about every 3rd-4th house has been renovated with second stories....

Most of the homes in Peachtree Park were built in the 40's and early 50's so when someone sells....the new owner will totally renovate or depending on the shape of the house just take it all the way down and start over.

Today I just have a little this and that....you know a bloggers term for "I got nuthin today"......hee haw!

If you follow me on Instagram you saw this in my stories....

Scroll down for the before.....we had it painted and then I went for a consultation to figure out how to give it a little patina!

We started with a little glaze....

And we added a touch of silver....it gets delivered next week!

Here is the before!

I found these barstools on Target [Opalhouse] for my client.....

She sent me these pictures....They look so good and really help to warm up a black and white kitchen!

This master bath chandelier was finally hung for the same client.....so pretty huh!  Circa Lighting.

Also when I was over there the other day we tried this chest in a bathroom.....and it worked!

It's actually very practical since there is no vanity in this one.....

Found this amazing mirror to use in her powder bath!

Also remember when Rose and I did a table setting?  They posted this picture and it was a pretty good shot so I thought I would share:)

Yesterday I met with a client and I showed her this wallpaper [Loomwell] for her laundry room....It looks so good with the tile floor [floor and decor]....

Another meeting at Charles Stewart for some dining room chairs......

And say goodby to Cami's long hair....she got so matted under her neck and chest that tomorrow morning she is getting shaved.
I wish it wasn't so.... but it's too painful to try and comb all those mats out!

I picked up this white shirt at Bloomingdales for 10.00 and was pretty excited!  I mean who loves and white shirt more than me!  It's by their own label Aqua and the boots are Aqua also.....I got last year but they are still available!

What is everyone doing this weekend?  I may scoot up to Scott's.....

I'm on my way to work out at my friends gym....she got a TRX installed yesterday so we will have fun with a new piece of equipment!

Is that weird.....I am excited about some gym equipment??

Y'all rock the weekend....do something fun!

PROJECT BOULDER BEFORE AND AFTER PART 2

I am beyond humbled by the support in your comments.  You can't imagine how much they all meant to me.  I will share soon but right now it is just too raw to put out there and I don't trust myself not to over share.

There is comfort knowing that people care....especially in a world where there is bullying and meanness all over the internet.

As promised here are some before and afters of the Boulder flip.  This project took 6 months to complete as some rooms were reconfigured.

Today it's all about the laundry room which is pretty epic if you have a small space like I do in my home.

As per blogger regulations....we start with  before:)

You can see it was already a nice large space!

Some of these were taken from the listing as I had to leave and I only had my iPhone with me anyway!

We decided to add the utility station where you can was a dog, or kid :).....or bike shoes.....

I think the floor tile came from Floor and Decor and the overhead lights came from Rejuvenation.  The rugs is old from Target outdoor collection and after extensive searches everywhere we found the folding table at Ikea.  It was a pub table but we cut the legs down!  A deal at 149.00 [or something like that].

When they renovate a house they always put in new W&D and appliances.  The shelving brackets are custom and the shelves are butcher block from Ikea.

Here is a close up of that folding table!!  It already had that black detail on the braces.

I believe that bench came from Overstock a few flips ago.  Of course the accessories on the shelves came from Homegoods.

Just a progress pic....

We also found that shelf unit at Homegoods....

Here is the before of the other direction.  The room on the right had been staged as a bedroom but there was no closet so we staged it as an office.

This Schumacher wallpaper added so much to the space....again we just put it on the one wall.

The Currey and Co rope sconces just looked so cute.  Giddy up.

Just for context....the whole wall opposite the W&D.

And real estate pic of the room set up as a bedroom.

These are the listing pictures as I just could not get good shots of this room!
Desk, rug, and art from Overstock.  Office chair from World Market

I covered this cheap little sofa with a skin and picked up the spice colored pillow at Target.

Got the small table at Pier One and the floor lamp at Ikea.  The 3 architectural ladders over the sofa came from At Home.

So there you have it.  Working with what we already had....adding a few new items....but trying to show people without vision.... how cute a house could look right?

There is more....but right now my brain is working at 50% power....my sister has been staying with me and I just can't imagine not having family at difficult times.  Thanks Mom for having 4 kids.....

Love you guys....

BOULDER FLIP BEFORE AND AFTER PART 3

All actions below are pretty critical right now.....

I need to get my hair cut and colored.
I need a pedicure.
I need my eyebrows waxed.
I just need a couple of days to clean up my act.

All before a photoshoot on the 13th.  Looking at my schedule.....I am not sure this is gonna happen.  Thank goodness for photoshop:)

I guess I'm feeling pretty ragged lately.  August in Atlanta is hot and humid and my Keratin treatment has worn off which means it's ponytail time..... not a good look on me.

blah blah blah.

I thought I might get some sympathy from my husband about my schedule and he looked at me and said "well you signed up for this...."  Crickets......What the hell....I gave him a hard side eye.

Let's just get right to some fun stuff like the rest of the photos from the #boulderflip

Starting with the bathrooms!  Which were very outdated.

Basement level bath before

After

This is a tiny bathroom

But it looks so much better....

This lovely hall bathroom upstairs!

We used this combination of tile and vanity in the last project!  Tile from Home Depot.  Vanity from Build.com.

Remember that small master bath.

As you can see when you step out of the shower you are almost stepping in the toilet:)  We took about 18" from a linen closet on the other side to make the space between the shower and toilet larger.  It had to happen.....
Also took the door off and hung a sliding door on the outside.

This was the plan....

So much better.....

Let's head right into the master bedroom!

The worst part is that dang window right in the middle of the room!

We had 2 beds and one of them had a tall gray headboard.  This one was a little more see-through and in my opinion [even though it had a more casual look] maybe it helped with the fact it was half in front of the window.

So we worked with it....what are ya gonna do right?  Using gray and adding a little pink to the mix.

Happy to find that piece of art at World Market.

The doors were painted BM Ozark Shadows

Alrighty then....are you done with your coffee yet?  Just a little more....

Here is the other bedroom with the taller gray headboard....

Before of the basement level

After with tile and new carpet

The wallpaper really added that punch right?

I got to use those awesome World Market Chairs!

 Tile from Floor and Decor

You see that opening back to the right....that is the laundry room.

Which was nasty....

Cleaned up with tile and paint.  Then we added these shelves at the last minute!

Before

After

Mostly World Market furniture and that sofa we ordered from Target!

Here are a few images from the listing site.

Paint: BM White Dove

Done.  See part one here and part two here

I know there were questions from part one and two and I will get to those.....I promise!

Today....it's back over to the House Beautiful project opening all the vendor boxes in the basement in over  90 degree heat.

Crikey.....Yesterday I did it for 3 hours and as I was down there sweating.....I thought "hey I am a glamorous interior designer"....and I could not find any glamour down there at all.
