ONE ROOM CHALLENGE REVEALS

I might be all over the place today....plus coming in hot so I can get to Orange Theory in an hour!

Have you guys checked out the One Room Challenge reveals?  This bi-annual event happens in the spring and fall and there is always plenty of design eye candy.

I haven't gone through the guest post yet but there are always some gems with those guys too!

I picked my favorites....no offense to anyone else but these rooms just spoke to me personally!

Linda Holt gave this room plenty of personality!  I love that the walls and upholstery are all neutral and the color is just in the art and accessories!

Natasha's room really appealed to my love of neutrals. I guess it is just in my DNA:)

Erin from Apartment 34 just killed it with this adorable room.....so many good moments!

Lots of blue this year and Stephanie Kraus really showed us how to do blue right!  Love the horizontal stripe on the headboard.

Angela from The Painted House gave this remodeled attic such a calm feel.....white walls.....check!

It's pretty hard to top this gorgeous bedroom by Kelly Rogers  I'm in love with those curtains!

I know what you are going to say...."Sherry what is this room with ALL of this color doing in your favorites".  And my answer is I'm not sure!  But for some reason I love the texture and graduation of color.  Shannon Claire made color fun and pretty!

Michelle used the same wallpaper as Stephanie with a whole different twist!  Not sure I would have thought to use the gray bed as an anchor in between all this color but it was genius!

Ashley pulled this room together like a true professional by adding the texture on the walls with this trim.  I love the simple minimalist look of this space and it has plenty of texture!

So..... thoughts?  Was your favorite among some of mine or maybe you have your own?

In other news I saw lot's of projects by other people this week....

Michael Ladisic took me by a beautiful home he has just finished.

It appears that outdoor showers are all the rage these days.....

I used these same barstools for a project and I still love them.  The color of the cabinets is pretty HOT too!  All interior design by Brian Watford Interiors.

I am smitten with this tile/vanity combination.

My friend Lori May just finished putting the final touches on a year long new construction.  I stopped by yesterday and was wowed over everything!

Yup....this black and white room had my name on it:)

2 beautiful Circa Lighting Chandeliers from 2 different friends....

I had to stop by RH for a client and their hardware game is on!

What a week....we've had so much rain and it reminded me that it's time for my Keratin treatment.  I had a serious case of frizzies and that is just unacceptable.

I'm supposed to meet up with all the sheepie's in Atlanta on Sat but they might cancel because of the rain which will make me sad because my happiness level is off the charts when I get around a 100 Old English Sheepdogs!

Can you even imagine?

OK...time to proof read this sucker and the gym!

PROJECT UPDATE

Brrrrr.....I hate to complain [cause it's colder in many other places] but we are freezing here in Atlanta.  We are not used to it.

I have a few more pictures of this project I'm working on which was pretty much a complete gut job.

All of the wallpaper [except for the silk in the foyer which is on a "slow boat from China"....soon to arrive I hear] has been installed.

 In the basement bathroom...

I love this iconic paper [Flying Ducks] from Mulberry Home.  We painted the vanity SW Tin Lizzie.

Basement bar area...

Entrance from garage.....SW Tin Lizzie on cabinets.

Main level powder room..

This Romo grasscloth called Jungle with yes....my favorite Circa Lighting Monrovia Star!

Dining Room....
In case you can't figure this out there is a tray ceiling in the DR so we used this Miles Redd paper from Schumacher.

There will be a 72" round dining room table.

In the Clubroom

This great Circa Lighting Ralph Lauren fixture!

This Thibaut paper with SW Urbane Bronze on the walls.

Office hardware from Restoration Hardware.

Pretty and the price is good!

Laundry room painted SW Repose Gray.

More later!

After hearing a couple of people mention this flower shop I decided to go in and see for myself.

Sometimes I am a slow learner.....

Holy mackerel people I was "wowed"!

Everything was so organic looking with natural branches and pinecones and moss.....which is my jam!

Of course I wanted to go home and paint trees on my wall.  Oh wait....I had tree wallpaper and took it down.  What was I thinking?

I picked out this beauty for a special client.  Purdy huh?

You need to check out their site for so much beauty:)

9 days until Christmas.  Then I get to go to the beach.....first vacation since March.

I'm ready NOT to think of deadlines and make a list everyday that always seems to carry into the next day right?

Of course we all know that it is always waiting for us when we get back.

By the way.....I killed a spider the size of Texas the other day in my closet.  Now I am afraid to put any shoes on until I shake the hell out of them.

I did have a thought of throwing away every pair.....burn all of my clothes and move to another house.

PROJECT BOULDER BEFORE AND AFTER PART 2

Are you ready for part 2 of #ProjectBoulder?  It's hard for me to believe that this home got renovated and decorated in 6 weeks.....I am sure all of my clients would be happy if that happened:)

Don't hate please.

Anyway let's get right to it.  To catch you up on this project.... my stepdaughter and her husband [they live in Boulder, Co.] bought this home to renovate it.  He is the builder and she sells real estate.  Perfect combo huh? Then..... they bring me in to stage it.

As far as I am concerned I get the fun job!

I am using the listing pictures to show you the before.

This was the kitchen.

Kitchen now.....a few people have asked about the floors.  They are red oak with no stain and 3 coats of matte sealer.

Before

After

The sconces are from Restoration Hardware and the funny part is that they were not our first choice!  Everything else we wanted were back ordered....so I guess sometimes things happen for a reason right:)

Reclaimed wood shelves

Most of the things on the shelfs we already had from other staging projects....

Top Knobs hardware

Countertops are Caesarstone.

Before shot....

After

Because of the low ceiling over the island area we made the decision not to do any light fixtures.....

Before of the family room....

I don't know if you can tell in this before shot but the island area was bar height and we took it down to counter height....plus we shortened it up about 6" to make the entrance into the kitchen work better.

Waterfall counter.

Getting started......

Picked up this sofa at Ikea for the sale price of 399.00!  Boyah.

Rug from West Elm [it was on sale when we bought it]

The chairs are from Wayfair, coffee table from Joss and Main, poufs from Pier One, Lamp from West Elm, stool from HomeGoods, pillows on chairs from Bed Bath and Beyond.

Before....

Again...the fireplace screens will be painted.  The light fixture is from World Market.

THIS Home Depot tile is everything!

Just a few more rooms.....on Tuesday.

Weather report:  Y'all it is SO hot EVERYDAY here in Atlanta.  I mean yes.... I know it is summer and all but June was like July and now we are in July and still have August left and my hair is not cooperating at all.

Book report:  I just finished this one and it was so good and very relevant to what is going on in America today. A true store about injustice.

Y'all be chill.....
