GOING CRAZY.....JUST A LITTLE

How the heck did it get to be Tuesday already?

I feel like I am treading water just trying to stay a float and my dang arms are getting tired.  I know....I know...one foot in front of the other.....head down and swim and you will get to the finish line before you know it.

I might sound like a crybaby....no wait....I AM A CRYBABY.  Insert visual of 2 year old on the floor having a temper tantrum.

But hey....I am sure everyone feels like that at times so I can hear you under your breath saying "suck it up Sherry".   OK....got it.

Working on this House Beautiful project has it's perks though....I got to preview these new wallpapers from The Style Library! Here in Atlanta these brands are carried at Grizzel and Mann over at ADAC

Here is my favorite....Nest Egg.

Schumacher used to have a similar paper and I had it in my powder room....but they discontinued it many years ago.

Yes please anything with birds in it.....

I never met a botanical I didn't like:)

Another favorite!

I got a few request to do a "look for less" on my before and after....[the last post] and I will definitely try to do that....in 2021 :)  Nah just kidding....I can probably get to it in 2020.

hahahahahaha....the kind of laughter that turns into crying.

Thanks for letting me vent....we're friends right?

A DINING ROOM PLAN

I know you guys remember this room that I completed about 2 years ago.

Well....she gave me a call to come and do her DR and office.

I am not going to show you the before ....because it's definitely more impact to be able to compare.

But.....I am going to show you some of the plan.

We wanted to lighten it up and of course since I am a "pusher" I decided to show her some wallpapers.

Hands down this was her favorite right from the get go.

It's by Harlequin and it has the soft blue green colors that she likes so much.

We are going to keep her existing table and chairs but add some 2 upholstered pieces for softness.

This one by Charles Stewart.

In this fabric by Kravet.

But then we thought since stripe can be kind of straight laced sometimes.... we decided to do the same version with a skirt.

The curtains will be this gorgeous silk taffeta [Robert Allen] with a small beaded trim

I looked at rugs from Surya....trying to find one with a pattern.  Much more forgiving to stains [she has 3 kids]

Now we get to chandeliers.....
I love this classic bronze one from Circa Lighting...

And I ran across this one but now I can't remember where.....rats.

That is as far as we have gotten....

Looking forward to getting this baby up and running:)

Now about Camelot....Cami!

Lord I forgot what it was like to have a younger dog in the house.  Busy....busy.....

The "hand-off" went so much better than expected.  The first night in the hotel [Gainesville, Florida] was a little crazy....but in reality the first night at our house was crazy times 10.

She tricked me with that sweet face.

My husband and I kept looking at each other like "wtf have we done?"  She.....brought out 4 pair of shoes from the closet [those doors are now kept closed], a pair of pajamas, ate a peony, dragged into the den 6 throws, 2 Ikea sheepskins, a stick from outside, took a couple of bites off a plant, started in on a Flokati rug....[that got a big NO] and is now pulled up as are all of the throws. That was only in a few hours.

Whew...and after being walked about 3.5 miles!

It is day 5 and she is doing a little better....I am trying to wean her off the drugs that her Mom had her on.  Paxil and Clonidine [for anxiety].  Walking her up to 4 times a day.  I just want to see what she is like in her "raw" state so I can access. I realize she is a puppy [17 months old].  Energy is to be expected right?

I just had to put this post on hold while I ran her around the block....she came in jumped up on the bed and threw up so now the sheets are being washed.

I have a feeling it is going to be a long summer.

Hope you guys have a nice calm weekend:)

THIS AND THAT

I have a junk drawer of pictures to share today.....from fabrics to dogs....

But for the sake of knowing that some people are rolling their eyes and thinking "enough already about the dog".....I am starting with design first!

I get it.

Alright....last week I showed you some new Kravet fabrics.  Today we have a few Schumacher goodies to view.

In particular Mary McDonald.
Talk about texture!

And MM and I must be long lost sisters....remember how I thought I invented the green and gray combination?  Well it seems that she was already ahead of the curve....duh

Just so much goodness here.

I ran into Duralee and saw this little number from Bailey&Griffin

Pretty huh?

And this Harlequin wallpaper at Grizzel & Mann which is similar to the KW wallpaper but with a much better price point.

It comes in these other colors!

I'm not too proud to use a "look for less"!

I popped down to Scott's on Thursday afternoon and came across these pulls!

Hot damn....

Just in case your life will not be complete with out them....
I picked up some Peonies at TJ's for a few bucks.

Which brings me to an update.

Tuesday was a crazy day.

Got an email about a one year Sheepie listed on Craigslist in Lexington, Kentucky at 12:40.

1:00....contacted her

1:30....she emailed me back that she was a perfect dog but she [owner] was just diagnosed with a medical condition and had to give her up.

2:13...I asked where she was and how far away was that from Atlanta

2:40....she sends me pictures of her and a video.

2:41....I am in love.  Leave ADAC and run home to discuss with husband....when can we leave and details like that.

3:00.... I email her and say yes....I want her.  So excited....clicking my heels together and dancing all  cray cray around the house.

3:15....she emails me and said " I forgot to say we have someone local coming by to look at 6:00 to see her.

3:16....WTF....are you kidding me?  Don't you think you should have lead with that?

3:20....she will let me know if they take her.

5:28....I get an email from the OES rescue that Camelot's Mom has changed her mind and wants to give her up.

5:29....I am having a meltdown.

7:45....E-mail telling me the first people took Misha.

7:46....I send her back a message.  "Thanks....heartbroken".

So where does that leave things?  As of now we are picking up Camelot in Lake Worth, Florida  Memorial Weekend.

This better happen as I can not take another episode like that:(

So there you have it.....a week of highs and lows.

Life.
