LADISIC FINE HOMES

Y'all I went to get an updated headshot the other day.....and I have to say it was right up there with trying on bathing suits.

It's one thing to look in the mirror everyday and pretend that you still look 40 and a complete reality check to see your face right there on the big screen in all it's "oldness".......

So I went to this guy and he was good and all but when I was looking at them I felt like I looked like a "banker" [no offense to bankers] but that is just not me.

I then called a friend of mine Tina Rowden [cause she used to do a lot of weddings and I thought she would be able to make me look like Cindy Crawford]  and she definitely captured my personality but still....why can't I just use the one I had taken 10 years ago....

A few weekends ago my friend Michael Ladisic was having a breakfast at his house for the Shutze winners.

I was there all day on Saturday zhushing that puppy up!

You remember this one right?  Yeah I like to pretend it's my house when I'm there....but of course there is that one small problem.....of his wife :)

This is the courtyard.....

The committee had beautiful flowers everywhere!

Beautiful kitchen designed by Matthew Quinn.

If you remember they have 4 girls.....this is her closet where I hung all the family pictures!

Every pillow was perfect and all throws were casually thrown in their places as if they are always that way:)

Then it was over and I had to go back to my little cottage.....

And....the very best thing that happened to me all week is this....

My nephew and his wife had a baby.  I can't look at this picture without crying.....he lived with me for 3 years while in collage and I am so proud of the man he has become.

THIS AND THAT

Sorry I "ghosted" Last Friday....I was leaving for Chicago and try as I might just couldn't gather my thoughts to pull together a post:)

Speaking of Chicago......I was with my sister and we were going up for my nephews baby shower........but our flight was delayed 5 hours due to a snowstorm.

I wrote this after about 4 hours....ha ha

We got to the airport at 9:30 and the flight finally left at 4:40.....needless to say it was a long day.

3 things I think Delta could do to make delays more fun....have someone to give neck massages, maybe a mani-pedi station....and the best thing would be a puppy room where you can just pet and play with them.....everybody knows puppies reduce stress!

But oh so worth it!  The first grandchild in our family will be here in late March.

They had the event at The Dunham Woods Riding Club and the decor was amazing!  Hopefully you saw some of my instastories.

The walls and this frame....right?

They are having a boy!

Who knew I loved gummy bears so much......

And of course it isn't a news flash that I can put away some cupcakes.....

This is my niece and nephew....so cute right?  She works for Knoll in NYC.  I was amazed when she told me that she uses Rent The Runway weekly for all her clothes.  She explained that she has not bought any clothes in forever and no dry-cleaning bills!

Before I left I delivered this pillow with this gorgeous Scalamandre trim.

This office is coming along....Thibaut wallpaper and Circa Lighting pendant.  If you look carefully the ceiling is high gloss white!

I started working on this plan.....look at me doing color!

I thought I would be tired of my dark walls by now but I'm not!

Neither is Cami!

And I found out that Florance Knoll had a sheepdog:)

I discovered these new wallpapers by Thibaut...

They look like wood!

And I started this book which is excellent....

OK....I think you are all caught up on my life.....haha

THE WEDDING

I can't tell you how full my heart is with love.

We just got back from St. Charles, Illinois where my nephew got married.  I am not sure if I ever mentioned it but Taylor lived with us for 3 years while he went to Georgia Tech [we live close to campus].

It was life changing for me since I don't have any biological children [2 wonderful stepchildren].

I remember when he called to say he was moving out.....I cried like a baby.  You guys remember when I decorated his apartment!

Anyway back to the wedding.....I shared what I was going to wear but of course that changed a little.....

I decided to wear the black pants and this top to the rehearsal dinner....

I got it on sale at Nordstroms....

I took the other one back because when I lifted my arms you could just barely see my skin and....well I knew that would bug me:)

I found this dress on sale at Bloomingdales.
Moon and Meadow
It is a silk wrap dress and so comfortable!  I felt like I did pretty good since my niece wants to borrow it!

Anyway....back to the wedding....

I read this book on the plane....definitely a page turner.

I wore these pants on the plane and my husband wanted to know if I paid for those rips:)

Lauren and Taylor met on the beach in Chicago about 3 years ago.....

This was at the rehearsal.....

Here are some other shots I took.....

Who's happy now!

They released these white balloons when Lauren and Taylor came out of the church.  So pretty!

Gorgeous flowers at the reception....
The wedding cake.....

I have to share this with you.....during the mother/son dance....Taylor and my sister asked me up halfway to finish it with him.  That was an emotional moment people....I could not stop crying.

My husband and I with my girlfriend and her husband....we started flying together as flight attendants almost 40 years ago.  YIKES!

I am so darn proud of Taylor....he chose the sweetest girl and has become a remarkable human being.....I wish them both a long and happy life.

I was happy to see this sweet thing when I got home....

Thanks for letting me share such a memorable time in my life with all of you!
