MY FOYER REVEAL

Can you believe I made such a fuss over this small space?  Dragged it out like a mini ORC......

I know y'all remember when I pleaded on this blog for Schumacher to donate that Celerie Kemble wallpaper for my cause.....to deaf ears as they say.

After eliminating all of the other choices and going back to my first love I decided to stop fretting about it and just order it.

I have to say the day it went up I knew that for once I had made the right decision.  Like the Hollyhock....I love it madly.

Isn't it so pretty?

It is such a small room and with my limited photography skills I am going to bore you with every darn angle :)

You can see on the ceiling up in the corner I finally installed the light fixture from my room at the Inspiration Showhouse a year and a half ago!

It's probably just me but I love the door painted that color...Don't you think white would have been boring?

I've had this sunburst mirror for about 12 years.  It is hand carved out of wood and how ironic that I bought it at a Schumacher sample sale......

Even though it's been finished for about a month I still feel giddy every time I walk through the front door.

Sources:
Wallpaper: Schumacher Celerie Kimble
Door Color: BM Palladian Blue HC 144
Wall Color: BM White Dove
Console Table: Scott's [years ago]
Light Fixture: Circa Lighting Basil Flush Mount
Sunburst Mirror: Schumacher
Rug: To the trade [similar at Myers Carpet]

It has been a little like Christmas around here with the DR and now the foyer.  I have been in this house 20 years and for the first time I have actually done 2 rooms start to finish.....with a plan...in a timely manner.

Kind of like when you use a designer:)

It's the last weekend of the ASO Decorators Showhouse....if you need a reason why you should go you can see some gorgeous pictures here

Just lovely! You and "your designer" did a great job on that space, start to finish! The paper was worth every cent and BM Palladian blue is one of my all time fave colors.

FAB-U-LOUS!!!! Love the wallpaper and you were so wise to get it. I think you will live with this for years, it is so versatile. It always feels so good to finish a project which for we designers seems to never happen in our own homes, LOL. Enjoy all of your hard work, it really is spectacular,

Is it wrong to say I am choked up? I LOVE beauty in a home, and this to me is beyond all that. So, so gorgeous Sherry. I would be giddy forever. And what a great compliment to the foyer. And yes, the blue was the only way to go.

I love the way the frosted glass in the light fixture seems to reflect the color of the door. Lovely little jewel box of a space!

That would make me so happy, too! It looks fantastic!! I've been planning to do planked walls in my side entry, and this might be the kick in the butt I need to actually get started on it. Great job as usual :)

Yes - more people need to paint their front doors in contrasting colors -makes all the difference! I did in my own apartment (williamsburg blue). LOVE the wallpaper and the light fixture - dramatic transformation to such a small but important space.

So beautiful, Sherry--I'm so happy to finally see it all together. And, I think my front door might be Palladian Blue, can't remember for sure, but it wouldn't surprise me if we are ChinaWhitePalladianBlue twins.
