PORTER-TELEO WALLPAPER

I have been going to The Atlanta Decorative Arts Center [ADAC] for 20 years.  I think I know the place pretty well but every now and then a show room will re-arrange things [good idea people] and I stumble across something new and wonderful.

This was the case on Tuesday.

Whoa....I was standing around waiting for some samples to be pulled and I ran smack dab into some breathtaking wallpaper.

I am probably the last person to ride this train, and after some research....I realize that I have seen this gorgeous stuff in magazines and on blogs before.

Y'all...it is serious information overload out there....and I am lucky to remember to put clothes on before I leave the house.....so cut me some slack.

Porter-Teleo is hand printed and hand painted wallcovering developed by Kelly Porter and designer Bridgett Cochran [in 2004].

I want you take a look at how cool this is.  Not for everybody I know but for me....I seriously want!

I can appreciate the creativity.

Dang...hate when the pictures are blurry....

Pretty darn cool....
You have seen this in red used by Kelly Wearstler.

Yup...I am crushing....
More funk....

Step outside your box people....

I took this one at ADAC...

I want some....

Maybe I could just afford a little and frame it...I did not look at the price because I knew it would be out of my budget.....even though I do not really know what my budget is....I CAN tell you this...it is

small.

Aren't they just cute, young and very talented.  You can read more about them when they were featured on Stylebeat.

On another note...I was featured on Emily Clarks blog in her series titled My Summer Style.  I sent in a updated picture of an area that was featured in my shoot for Better Homes & Gardens last May. Please go take a look to see more of the bloggers involved in The One Room challenge that are being featured.

The original picture [photography by Sara Dorio]

AND...the most recent...

It is such an easy area to change out.....

These were taken by the talented Christina Wedge.  Can you find all the changes?

When I first moved into my house there used to be a dining table and 6 chairs in this area....
I will try to dig up some old pictures next week.

I have a few more to share with you later on.

So today...don't forget I will be working for Sudi at Scott's. She is in the north building C6 booth number 792.  I should be there until at least 3 so come on by and say hi!

And....the Atlanta mart has started so it is going to be a busy fun weekend.  Should have ton's of pretty pictures to share with you next week.

Weekends ROCK!!!!

And it starts today.....

Shazam baby.

that is awesome paper! but it is definitely the kind i can look at and admire in someone else's home, but it would be too bold for me!

The wallpaper is a bit much for me but I was thinking that black and white would look amazing framed over our mantle. Hey, I like being in my cozy box! Congratulations on the mention and I'm on my way over for a look see.

Such a cozy, but bright spot in your house. Super useful too! I really like that paper in the bedroom shot that has all the lines. Very nice and daring wallpapers!

It's a little too grafiti looking for me but perhaps if done in a limited amount it might be more appealing. Just my opinion anyway.

Loved what you showed on Emily's blog.

New pillow, new plant, new lamp (love!), new adorable stool - such cute changes Sherri. Your house is so pretty. New basket carryall next to your chair too. And yes, that wallpaper is pretty fantastic. I love the one in the funky bedroom. Have a great weekend - and have fun at Scott's.

The papers are wild! What a statement.
Love the changes in your room..changes.Lamp on counter along with painting, pillow on chair, ottoman, floor lamp and more. We need to remember to go to the North Building and then I'll use my NYC Macy's elbows to work through the crowds.

That is my kind of wallpaper although it looks easy enough to paint and that is in my budget.
Nice job on the "Summer Style"

Very cool papers. I have always loved that image in Kelly W's entry and staircase. It is of a scale that needs the right space!

For me the bold wallpaper would get old fast, my sister did something along that line in her dining room last year and it lasted a whole 2 months before she had it taken down. I like something a little more calming personally. Like all the changes though, very nicely done.

The wallpaper is very nice, but I can't get over how gorgeous your sitting area is. I love the shades and half curtains. The fabric on the ottoman! So much gorgeousness in one room. Love it all, Sherry!

My favorite of the wallpapers was the first one.

Love, love the pics of your home. I have work in Atlanta Sep 10 so I'm going to book a flight that arrives early on the 9th for Scotts. I guessing it will be all picked over but I can't bring back much anyway. Hope you're having a great summer!

I recognized the paper right away, from the Kelly W. foyer. Very bold - although I adore it - and I was thinking (too bold for me) - but your idea of framing it is brilliant. I have the perfect place - great food for thought!

I wish I had read this post before heading to Scotts, I was specifically looking for pillows. I don't know if I have the energy to go again! Plus, I was toying with the idea of going to the Mart - I go every January for inspiration, and occasionally in July if I have the energy and am in town. I might try to go tomorrow.

Looking forward to your recap of the Market!

I adore PT wallpapers! I wanted to do my bedroom in the organic organization in creme, but couldn't quite pull the trigger since we may not be here for many more years. I absolutely love it tho! and so well made (from the samples I got)

Love your Keeping Room (you taught me that). I just got back from London last night and was up at the crack of dawn re-accessorizing my kitchen...all due to the purchase of a new pitcher. I think it's always good to refresh, too.
