Gray Saturday...

Which follows Black Friday.  I am only saying that because it is a very gray day here in the ATL.....but still dang hot like 67 degrees.  Every morning I get dressed and then by mid day I look like an older [older than me......heehaw!] woman who is having a really bad hot flash......sweating like crazy.

I am not complaining.....because I know in January when it is really cold [cold for us southerners like 30 degrees then I will be whining....]

Thanksgiving....here are a few shots of the table I did for Jan.  I know that table settings always look busy...am I in denial?  Maybe it was a little full....so what...who cares.....

We just kept layering and layering.

The flowers....white roses from Costco [bought on Monday...used for another party at a friends house on Tuesday night.....recycled on Thursday and they are still going strong for another party on Sunday night]  Gotta love that....
Place settings....

Colors were orange, brown, and cream.  With a splash of green....

Setting tables can be real fun.....especially if you have beautiful things to work with huh????

Here is what I came up with on the front porch.

Hot glued moss to clear glass plates to set on the birch logs....

Stuffed this with more greenery and large pinecones.

White pumpkin on an old stool....

That is all I got for you .....I have been sleepy today.  I really WANT to get out some Christmas decor....I am going to try.....really hard.  Swear.  Or I could go down on the couch....it is a tossup.

For those of you that wanted the info about the herringbone carpet:  It is by Langhorne Carpet Company.  Color:  814 natural/black.  Pattern:  21312.

I am getting it priced out right now....hope it isn't scary expensive :(

Continue enjoying your Holiday weekend.....Sheriky

You did all of that Sherry?? Wow!! I love all of the textures textures textures. Is that eucalyptus and a cinnamon stick I spy in the centerpiece? Wish I had that right now smelling up our house. And the front porch is gorgeous!!! I love all of the greens and candles. Really pretty Sherry. I've gotten a few Christmas things out but I'm all about the R&R too.

Hey I am that "scary older (51) woman having a hot flash"! That's the first time I've typed that number and it's freaking me out!!! Anyway Jan's table looks fabulous and love all the greenery you've done already. Tomorrow's another day don't worry about Christmas stuff today although we've put up our wreaths on the house and barn....wooohoo!

Enjoy that slumber!

Sherry, I love the table setting and truly love what you did outside. Love the birch logs with the greenery and candles. I wish I had birch logs. Wonder if the neighbors would mind if I cut down just one of their birch trees? I really don't think they would miss it too much. I haven't started Christmas decorating either. Had planned to today, but my dog is sick and I just can't drag everything out with running her to the bathroom if you know what I mean.

Such pretty colors on the table - I have to say I am adoring that porch! The birch and branches - the shape of the candles - I would love to know where you purchased the candles. So well done!!!

It all looks great! And I love full tables - it's like layered interiors - so much to look at and enjoy! The outdoor vignettes and the floral arrangements are beautiful as well - you did a great job!

So funny to me that you are roasting at 67 degrees! Here in So. Cal we pull out the scarves and ugg boots once the temp drops below seventy! Love the birch logs and the black and white bow...so classic and elegant.

Really stunning. I just put up Christmas stockings (pretty ones that I got last year after Christmas for 75% off--they were too expensive to begin with). Ah the whole tree ordeal now...I'd better get in the spirit!
