Lucky Me.....

Tomorrow [Monday] I am being featured on The Enchanted Home!  I am sure you y'all follow Tina and her journey of building her dream house.  Honestly it is so gorgeous there are no words.  I think she is close to moving in and then we can share in all of the fun decorating choices.  I know I am going to love that.

Now it would be easy to be pea green with envy of Tina....but dang she is SO nice.  She always leaves beautiful comments...not short ones like "That's really nice"  but full on paragraphs.  And sometimes every blog that I start to leave a comment on...she has already been there and left one.  I literally do not know how she does it with a family and overseeing all that it takes to build such a grand home.  I have a feeling that when her head hits the pillow at night...it is coma time!

Anyway...I am honored that she asked me to participate in her "Behind the Blogger" series.  You really need to get a cup of coffee or tea and go have a look around.  I promise you will not be disappointed. Not reading about me.....but reading her blog :)   Her post are beyond gorgeous and she is as real as they come.....I hope I can meet her in person one day :)

Here is one picture of a reception area of the bank job [sounds like I am a "thief"!].

Before.....

And after

I had this painting commissioned from a local artist.  It is Lake Burton, Ga.
Also moved that red chair and covered this seat cushion.  Look people...I know it's not much....but a big improvement over the blank wall and the red chair!

Her name is Andrea Costa.  I am in love with her work.  She did this one on linen.

She is usually at Scott's in the south building up front.  Here is her email:   andreacrock@comcast.net

I received many comments about the HGTV show Donna Decorates Dallas from readers [and designers] in the Dallas/Texas  area.  The consensus was negatory on the design style of that region.  So I am left to assume that is her perception of great design....I don't know  [after all Jan Showers lives down there].............but like I said, she is pretty and wears really high shoes.  I am going to leave it at that :)

I hope everyone is kicking back and enjoying their Sunday.  It is back up to 70 degrees here in Atlanta.  I was sweating all day in my boots and sweater.

I am going to blast you guys with some great Scott's pictures sometime this week.

That painting is gorgeous - I'm fascinated with people with talent like that to create a piece of artwork that looks so real that you just want to touch it (but I know that's a no-no). Looking forward to seeing some of your Scott's adventures and checking out The Enchanted Home as well. Have a great rest of the weekend!

Wish I could've gone to Scott's this weekend, but ended up not going. I was going to go with my sister, Kim until her grandson was born early and she had to go out of town. I mean, REALLY! The nerve! Ha! Looking forward to seeing what I missed. I'll have to go check out the blog you mentioned. It's been awhile since I visited it. Her house is AMAZING!!!

Love that ethereal artwork. Beautiful. And can't wait to read your post on Enchanted Home. She really is very nice in all her comments. And yes, I am pea green with envy over her dream house. I try not to be, but I am.

Love that artwork. Much better looking space with that hanging there. Hope to get to Scott's next month. No more grandbabies coming that I know of.

Well, you say it's "not much", but what you did to that space made all the difference in the world. LOVE the artist's work... and love that lamp too!

Sherry, the artwork is so beautiful. I can see it in many different kinds of settings.

I know what you mean about Tina leaving a comment on every blog you visit. I have had the same experience. Would love to have her energy.

Wow Sherry you made me blush here. Than YOU for this wonderfully kind intro. So sweet! The pleasure was totally mine to feature you today, you are a gem in blogland.
I love the mini transformation, what a beautiful piece of art. I am glad you included her name and email. I am going to keep it handy, she is quite talented, love her use of color. Caught a glimpse of Donna decorates Dallas, was not impressed at all, very commercial taste, cannot see staying power for this show, just my take.
Anyway, thank you again and have a fabulous day.

HI Sherry- I just read about you over at Tina's. I am going to be your newest follower. Your style is wonderful but you MUST go get a copy of This Property Is Condemned with Natalie Wood and Robert Redford. I do believe it was their first movie. You will love it. I have watched it as many times as Splendor In The Grass.

Hope you have a wonderful Monday. I love Tins, too, and it is a shame that she has a couple of ugly/ jealous people leaving her comments sometimes. She is just a lovely person! xo Diana

Hi read your fun interview over at The Enchanted Home. Great interview. Funny what you did for your dream vacation we are doing for this Christmas vacation with 10 of our family members, starting off in St. Thomas...cannot' wait!!
One of my three all time favorite movies is Splendor in the Grass too, so funny. What a wonderful classic, it never gets old.
Anyway, so nice to meet you, I will be following you. Thank you.

I enjoyed reading your interview on Tina's blog. It was fun to find out a little bit more about you, even though I already knew how funny you are. The painting you have chosen for the bank is beautiful. I imagine, in person, painting on linen adds a wonderful texture and dimension to the painting. Dreamy. My son is a fine artist. I know what a difficult career it can be and I love to see when designers commission original art for a project. Kudos to you, Sherry.
Best...Victoria

Ok, Sherry, that 'mini-makeover' packs a WHALOP! It is amazing to me how just a few changes completely transform a space. I am in love with that lamp and the painting.

DDD is not for everyone, including me!
