ONE ROOM CHALLENGE

The ORC [one room designed over 6 weeks] is back and better than ever.  Linda has invited me to play along for the third time and also rounded up some awesome new talent!

How does she do it?

The first time I worked on a clients room.  Last time I actually finished my guest room and I am happy to report I have not changed a thing.

For my 3rd ORC I decided that my sister needed to get on board for a makeover on her LR.

Let's start at the beginning.

What?
You thought the before picture already.....
Not yet.
Here we are [me on the left].

Let me give you a little history about Maggie.  She is 2 years younger than me.

Patricia Marie.  AKA Maggie.

And here is a little known fact about Maggie.
At one time her name was "Bunny Carrie"

Yup.

Hottie.

That is her in the middle.

Here she was out in LA staying at Hef's home while she competed for Bunny of the year.  Can you believe this....Robert Blake.  Didn't he kill somebody?

That's my lead in to her before picture....:)
Notice the hole on the left.  That was a window on the back of the house at one time but then they added a sunroom years ago and left the window in.

Here is a picture of the sunroom....which they use all the time.

I told her that window had to go. ASAP

They really never use this room so it has been neglected over the years.

The opposite direction looks like this.

The desk.
About the size of Texas.
Never used.

This is a shot to the right of the desk.

Hot mess comes to mind.....but we are going to change that.  On the a very tiny budget I might add.

After a lot of discussion about the furniture we decided to recover it all in a neutral color.  It is in good shape and was expensive.

The classic english arm was a good decision 15 years ago as it can always be updated with new fabric.
It looks very similar to this.  Sorry I don't have more shots of the before.

We are using some of my left over fabrics because budget is definitely a factor here:)

She loved the bird fabric I used for my guest room. So that is a starting point.  The light colored solid is going to be used to cover the sofa and 2 chairs.

So there you have it!  Stay tuned for the next 6 weeks as we whip this room into shape.

Don't forget to take a look at all the other ORC post so you know what is going on.

Make it a decent day....after all it is already Wednesday!
