POOP AND ART

Yesterday I had a colonoscopy.  I can say with absolute clarity it was no day at the beach.  Drinking the prep...and not eating for 2 days......sucked.

I got it in my mind that I would limit my food intake the few days before so as reduce the amount of food in my colon [you know...less in...less out].  Oh....I'm full of good ideas.

I forgot how flipping starving I would be by procedure time.  How hungry you ask....like "where is the nearest hot dog, pie, or hush puppy eating contest" hungry.

When my friend Maria picked me up she asked if I wanted some lunch....I practically  blew her ear drums screaming YES....and let's go to Zesto's.  I wolfed down a chili dog with slaw and some tater tots....along with onion rings.  In about 5 minutes.  Like it was my first meal since being discovered living on a deserted island for 6 months.  Don't judge.  That hot dog tasted like filet mignon to me.

I don't know about you but if I decide to be a doctor and then specialize in something I am not checking the box that reads: messing around with the area that poop comes out of.  All the time.

Enough about me.

I ordered some art on Etsy the other day.  Just a little something with color in it.

Like this is news to anyone....but I LOVE ETSY.

I first discovered Linda Donahue's work at the mart here in Atlanta.

Her style and colors just speak to me.
Wanna see?

She lives in the San Francisco Bay area......

I could hardly decide which one to get.

Lately I have noticed more color in her work.....

This is a new one and I am so crazy for green, white and black lately.......

It just works.....

She also does horses....

And check these out....

Linda is so talented.....when I think of my silly DIY black and white pictures.....I sigh.  No...the Art God's did not rain down on me.

But Linda can save the day.

I poped it into a little Target frame and Ta Da......

She has ton's of selections....large and small......go here and take a look.

Holiday weekend people......Let's have fun!

Shapoopoo....:)

Wow! Sounds like you've have quite a week. ;-)

I love Linda's work. I used one of her pieces in my cottage project client's master bedroom. She *always* gets compliments on it.

Your new piece looks just like you! I love it. Now go eat something!

Well, with a post title like that, how could I not click over and read? :)

She is super talented. Like maybe even a better abstract artist than myself. Ahem...

I am scheduled for the procedure next week. UGH.
I have already been through a surgery where I could not eat or drink anything for 36 hours and it was not fun when family members decided they were going to come and visit and eat in front of me.
I know how hungry you get afterwards. Hubby was very hungry last year after his turn at it.
It is my first time and I am not really looking forward to it.

It may juvenile but poop is darn funny.
Unlike poop, Linda's work is seriously gorgeous. I have been stalking her Etsy store for a few years now.

After the colonoscopy news, I thought the word above the last picture said "pooped" instead of "poped," which I think you meant to say "popped." LOL!!! Had to read it 2 times ;) Good laugh...

Sherry- Thank you for visiting my new website and blog! I hope the results of your test are good. There's a reason people have to endure those test - so they don't have endure the far worse!

The paintings you have shown are beautiful, and even nicer framed and in context in your home. So nice!

I adore Linda's art, the softer ones for some reason, and you know I LOVE color.

The last time I attempted to get a colonoscopy I was up all night vomiting and started running a fever; so I missed out on the experience!

Well talk about an exhausting week! Haha. You needed some calming art after that one. Love this art! Love the black and white with green! Yours looks fab in the targay frame (and I must admit when I read the paragraph above I thought you said you "pooped" in target initially...but no "popping" into target is much better! Enjoy your weekend girl friend!

Love it! Linda Donahue's work is amazeball's! The guy in the booth next to my husband came to during his colonoscopy. Yikes. Happy hot dogs!

Ha! I thought you said you "pooped" your DIY art into a Target frame. I was clearly reading TOO fast and took the "Poop & Art" theme too far. Oops!

Beautiful paintings!
