Monday ramblings.....

I am staring Monday in the face and will punch it's lights out if it does try to wrestle with me...For real.

It was kind of a rainy, stormy weekend and on Sat night a huge branch fell on my house.  I say huge cause I'm six and everything is big!  Ok...it wasn't that big but it did make a loud thud and I looked up eyes wide.  There is a 100 year old huge oak tree in my yard [which by the way is why I can not get grass to GROW] and if it ever toppled over..... me and my continued state of half way decorated house would probably be destroyed.  Hence the prickly feeling when I heard the thud!

So...here is where we are today.  Went to ADAC last week looking for some fabrics and I saw some of the new Lilly Pulitzer line at Lee Jofa.
If you want color...
I think my Dad had some golf pants like this.
You thinking yes???
I am feeling Palm Beachy...martinis by the pool....
This one could become a classic.
real purdy....

And this one which is not part of the Pulitzer line but swept me away.....
Could you die?????
I actually used this for the bank project.....just for one pillow because it looked so good with this lamp.

Which I found while sourcing for that project.  I also found these....
And this next one...
Which all look good with that fabric.  On Bellacor  Great site for lamps.

And ....another party at Jan's and here are a few pictures of the table.  Vintage silver....Indian bedspreads.....color.

I changed out the pillows....

One last thing...somebody asked me if I REALLY have beads sitting on books in my house....

Yes I do...but I also do not have small children running around trying to eat beads either.

That is it....fabrics, lamps, table decor, and confessions about beads.
All I got for today.  BUT.....There were some changes that happened over the weekend.

Uh huh...the minute you post about something....BAM.  You'll see later on this week and I gotta tell you it is quite shocking for me.

Monday, stare it down.

Those Indian pillows are H-O-T!

Oh my gosh! Did the tree limb cause any damage to your house?
Those fabrics are crazy pretty. And I can't wait to see what you've done around your house.

I love Lily P. Her items always make me smile. I don't think I could do a whole home in them, but I must admit it would sure be fun to try!! Happy Monday, sweet girl. Kathysue

Ooooh can't wait to see what you did. Love all the pretty pretty you showed here. Falling trees are SCARY (I'm six too). Ours fell over - thankfully no one was hurt - just a little car damage - but I agree ... that sound (ugh).

Luckily, nothing unfortunate happened. Falling trees are pretty scary! Adore those beautiful fabrics at Lily Putlizer. And those lamps had me drooling!

Always, always enjoy reading your blog and browsing all those eye candies!

Happy Monday!

My worst nightmare is a tree falling on my house, since I saw what one did to my car!

It made me laugh out loud that someone asked if you actually have beads on books!

Hate big trees! I have 50 foot pines all around my house and am just waiting for the day one of them crashes down on me!! Hate'em!!

Gorgeous fabrics....gorgeous photos...love the tablescape! Sharon found a gorgeous silver teapot Saturday a the 100 mile yard sale for $7! Yeah, we ventured out in the 100+ heat in search of great stuff. Found some!!

Sharon needs a blog....I am working on her!

Have a GREAT Monday-----I am giving it the

Darn, wish we had gotten rain, but no. Only a short sprinkle. We are so dry. Love that fabric for the bank and those lamps. Must be a bank doing good to be decorating. Hubby had to close three branches last month.

Sorry about your tree limb, but glad to hear no serious damage was done. And love the fabrics, especially the G.P. & J. Baker Nympheus - you know I love that one (and by the way, did you know it is Thomas O'Brien's favorite fabric??). You know, I'd been looking at another colorway, but with my new blue dining room adjacent to my living room, I might need to rethink that blue colorway. Yum!

Color-icious! Wish I had the nerve for that.
Now, I'm itching to see what's next in your house. Also, when do we get to see bank pics?

P.S. My kids would totally eat those beads, but not before they'd wrap them around their necks and get caught up on something. ;)

What a gorgeous table setting...looks like a fun party. Love the lamps...all of them. I have those beads mixed with shells on my coffee table...no babies around here either.

Thank goodness the tree didn't cause damage! We always feared it would happen at our place in Muskoka since it was surrounded by really tall pines and balsams and many had already fallen during the winter.
Your table scape looks gorgeous :)

Sherry, I love the eclecticism of the tablescape. Just the right mix of old and new, detail and plain, color and neutral, shiny and flat. Gorgeous!

Our big oak tree in the front was hit by lightning (in a rainless storm) while we were in DC. By the time we got back the city had already chopped down the tree. Feels very Naked in the front...but now maybe our grass WILL grow. The tablescape is beautiful...love how it just goes with the water bottles.

ooooo... that non lilly fabric -- yummy! with the blue lamp!!! so stinkin' pretty!!

Love the last Lee Jofa fabric. Think I have a swatch of it in a different colorwave.

The Lily fabrics are super cute, but too bright for my own personal liking. They belong in someone's home who is happy all the time. I'm too much a moody bitch for that.
