Where the heck did this week go????

I seriously can not believe it is Thursday.  I was just complaining it was Monday.  Scott's is in town this weekend.  Whoop Whoop.

While I was at the mart in July I saw a new lighting collection [well new to me anyway].
Ro Sham Beaux is headed by owner and designer Ann Yancy Rogers.  I really thought her lighting was different and fresh. They are based in Charleston, and try to utilize sustainable materials whenever possible.

Here are a few of their styles, some I took at the show and some I took off the website.
Let's start with my favorite.

I adore these....

Here is the picture from the website.
Do you love like I do???
Love the twine with the beads....
Nice floor lamp.

Gold colored rope...love!
I really like the organic look of her lighting.
The shade is great on this one.
Another pretty.
Yes...pretty please.  Over an island in a kitchen?
Or this one over the island....
Uh huh....
Nice wall sconce.
There are a ton more on the website so drop everything and go look.  Priorities.

Speaking of urgent things....I told you that I changed something.  On my last post I showed you my modern chairs.  Well...I don't want to make this post as long as War and Peace but a series of events that went something like this....

Conversation with a friend.

Friend comes over to see chairs.

Friend has similar chairs only taller and brass.

I need taller cause one of my comments said exactly that....and by God if someone tells me to jump off a bridge I jumping.

I agreed.

Oh yeah and similar chairs just happen to be bright pink.

Blaa...blaa....let's trade....blaa....blaa.....chairs go into the car.

Deal done.

Sneaky peek....

Total craziness for me.  Not one piece of furniture in my house is upholstered in anything but white, gray, or brown.  What next locust...floods....the ark.

I'm  taking chances people.

Picking a winner for the giveaway tonight....off to Scott's.

Whoa, Pink chairs, hmmmm I want to see the whole content!!! How lucky you get to just hop in the car and go to Scott's. Love the first lighting fixture. The others were truly unusual, just not sure I would buy them, but in the right room they could become the star. I know you could make them work with your talent and your wonderful design aesthetic. Have a fun day at Scott's, Kathysue

Sherry, you had me at "brass". The minute I read that, I could picture a warm, beautiful space and God help me I am loving brass again. The sneak peek of pink is very exciting and is that corner of pillow "Betwixt"? Another favorite of mine. I'm giving this little change two thumbs up Sherry. Can't wait to see the rest :)

Cannot wait to see the chairs, that's kinda mean! The fact that the rest of your furniture is neutral makes them sound that much more perfect. Hurray for bold statement furniture!

I would LOVE to go shopping with you! Love the little sneak peek.

So smart to make a small(er) beaded turquoise fixture! I have loved the giant one for so long and have no place for it...this I can put in my office!! How much, pray tell?

Cool lighting. Love the chairs. I've been following your blog since before the BH&G feature (loved it by the way!) and I absolutely love your sense of humor! Your post a while back on getting old/ early alzheimers/dementia had me snorting with tears running down my face late one night while my kids and husband slept. Love it!!

I am so glad this week is done I’m exhausted! Love the first light and will have to pop over to the website and have a browse. Funny about your chair color, we have light colored upholstery too and I just had a chair recovered in tomato red velvet, not sure I’m liking it either. Good luck with your choice and enjoy your weekend!

Great looks - I love them all. Yes, this was a monster of a week. It's always busy when I'm working on video - I now have a much greater appreciation of the Oscar for film editing!! Looking forward to seeing what you scored at Scott's!!
