A little before and after.....

I normally get clients from referrals, but we met Juanita through an article in a magazine publication.  She was such a fun client....and had lived in her home for about 15 years.   She is an artist, and with all the color on her walls, bedding, and furniture her art was not showing up.  Here is the before picture of the bedroom.
Love the bed.  Had to change the wall color, window treatments, and bedding.
And the lamps, side tables, and bench!  These after pictures weren't really styled and the room wasn't finished, but I love the black bed against the white walls.
Painted the walls, and trim BM White Dove [my favorite white].
Custom pillows, but we found the sheets, blanket and coverlet at Dillards.  They really have some good bedding.
We just did a simple top treatment because there were 5 windows in the room, and the panels were just too much.

We also kept the pattern to a minimum so her art work would stand out.
New bench at the foot of the bed, purchased at Homegoods, recovered and stained black.
There was no chandelier, but we added this one from Arteriors.  Wish we could have put a sunburst mirror over the bed!  Unfortunately, we took these before she  added the artwork.  She said that she was going to paint some new things.  Must be nice.  To be able to do that.  Wish I could.

It's a Scott's weekend again.........

Those lamps are also Arteriors! The shams and the small pillow fabric is Lee Jofa. The stripe fabric is Osborne and Little. Donna....really that bench was so easy to transform. I have done it twice!

Fantastic makeover! Thanks for the Dillard's tip - never investigated the bedding there. Wish I could join you at Scott's but can't make it this weekend. Maybe another time. Make sure you post your finds!!

Love the changes you made and I can see how her art will really 'sing' in the room now.
